What a shitty way to die.... Less than forty-eight hours ago, they’d been impaled together, and Chuuya had feared that the broken metal pole had pinned him in place against a corpse. Now, he worried that a corpse sat next to him, nothing more than a poorly-crafted imitation of his ex-partner. ... And what an even shittier situation to be stuck in. Or, A mission goes wrong, and Soukoku die together. Except, they don't, but now they're stuck in a safe house pretending that they did. And if Chuuya wants to find out what went wrong with Dazai's plan, he'll first have to find a way around the wall of silence that his former partner has built to keep him out.

Interpretation of Dreams - SKK Reverse Big Bang Fic - Preview 2
Needless to say, all this did nothing to alleviate his budding frustration in the slightest. He caught Dazai out of the corner of his vision with a glare that was liable to set most mortal men ablaze.
Instead, the Demon Prodigy just squinted, then leaned in close, large dark eye widening to an almost comical degree in perfectly feigned childish innocence.
“Wow~, Chuuya looks terrible today. Doesn’t he know that mutts are supposed to get plenty of sleep so they can do as their master commands?”
On nights like these, Chuuya thought there should be awards for those who managed to spend any amount of time with the Port Mafia’s golden child and successfully resist the urge to deck him in the face.
Fortunately, no such award existed. Chuuya felt not the least bit guilty when he suddenly shot up and threw a punch with the speed of a lightning strike and enough force to cause instant decapitation.
Dazai simply side-stepped the blow, and Chuuya stumbled on the stone of the rooftop in an attempt to compensate for the lack of break in inertia. He crossed his arms and adopted a casual pose, cursing the uncharacteristic fumble. It would’ve been imperceptible to anyone else… anyone, that was, except for the boy in front of him, an odd look spreading over his features, akin to a cat curiously observing the wings of a bird for a hollow point to strike.
He had definitely noticed.
Chuuya tapped his foot impatiently, eager to change the topic.

SKK Reverse Bigbang Preview
“I was wondering when you would come say hi,” the bandaged kid says indifferently. He tucks his book away into his sling, unaware, or uncaring, of the danger he’s just encountered.
“What are you doing here, kid?” Chuuya demands. “You stink of trouble.”
The kid’s eyebrows shoot up. He lifts his uninjured arm and sniffs himself daintily. “I think I smell quite nice. Perhaps you don’t care for citrus colognes?”
Chuuya scoffs in annoyance. “Don’t play stupid. We know you were with the Port Mafia, and I don’t want whatever shit that made you go running to affect us.”
“‘We?’” He chuckles. “So the rumors are true about the tyrannical king of the Sheep.”
“I’m not a king,” Chuuya spits out. “I just happen to have something no one else does. I’m simply fulfilling the responsibility I have.”
“My, aren’t those thoughts lofty for someone so short?”
Chuuya clenches his hands in his pockets. “My height has nothing to do with that!” he shouts. “I’m fifteen. I’m still growing!”
The kid rubs his chin with a pondering look. “You ought to drink more milk.”

Interpretation of Dreams - SKK Reverse Big Bang Fic - Preview 1
It was with his right leg dangled far out over the gap that the phone in his pocket rang, a quiet sound with a low vibration. After a moment’s deliberation, he released a weary sigh, and leaned backwards, allowing the safety of solid ledge back under his dress shoe. He pulled the phone out of his pocket and flicked it open.
“Dazai-kun.”
“Ah, Mori-san,” Dazai replied, not bothering to hide the sound of the small yawn that escaped him. “To what do I owe the pleasure?”
“Any activity to report?”
The breeze chose that moment to pick up, rustling Dazai’s hair gently as it passed. He could taste the tang of ocean salt.
“It’s quiet,” he murmured. “It often is, now.”
“After tonight, all major threats to this organization will have been stamped out,” Mori said. “The Port Mafia will have sole jurisdiction over Yokohama’s underbelly. But this mission must go smoothly if we are to assure the end of this conflict for good.”
Dazai’s dark eye narrowed.
“Has the situation changed?”
“Our sources informed us a little past four this afternoon that the targets have captured a powerful ability user. One of Kouyou-kun’s subordinates later confirmed it – the ability user was a stowaway on a ship from Europe, and captured before he could even leave the harbour.”
“In that case, it should be simple enough to crush the remainder of this organization and recruit this ability user for ourselves,” Dazai said carelessly. “Yes, yes, I’m sure he’ll be grateful for the rescue, or receptive to being convinced of the Mafia’s benefits. That is the reason you’ve taken the time to inform me of this new development, eh, Mori-san?”
“No. Eliminate him on sight.”
