I had a dream that Mario and Luigi were gonna duke it out. Except it wasnāt Luigi Mario, it was Luigi Mangione. Happy Mar10 day!
So called free thinkers will always somehow place tales of legendia dead last in their best to worst lists š Itās not even that bad. Itās got the best musical score and the cast is easily one of the best. Legendia deserves a remake of sorts to incorporate the first half with the character quests for a seamless experience. And it needs to let us explore more of its world because itās easily one of the more interesting and thought provoking ones in the franchise. I like the idea of the Earth-like humans coming in a giant boat/spaceship to a different planet to escape certain extermination and colonizing it thereby ruining the native peoplesā planet because thatās something that could have happened in real life at some point in the solar systemās life (also because human history). I think about it from time to time. For all we know we could be aliens from Venus or something!
And then theyāll always say tales of the abyss is the best story-wise. The only good thing abyss has is gameplay! It boasts a weirdly weak cast and the worst main character youāll ever see. Luke was only good in the beginning when he was mean. Then, when he becomes emo, he becomes very annoying and hateable because the way it happened had nothing to do in particular to his character prior! He had no idea what was gonna happen for real! We see him at the beginning being rude and irresponsible, but the Akzeriuth thing did not highlight any of these aspects youād think would lead to him changing. It was Van manipulating Luke for years until that specific point which finally somehow led to him wanting to change! Huh?!??? What??? How?! It wasnāt even his fault! What was even the point of showing us such a cartoonish image of a rich spoiled brat for that long if it wasnāt even gonna matter?! Who thought this was a good idea?! Luke stans eat it up, but it makes zero sense! I miss rude Luke! It was so sloppy! And then the rest of the cast was so weirdly mean about it to him! He didnāt know! Wtf?! Like, I guess it was to drive the point about Luke being a bad person, but that was actually Vanās fault and they never treat him as such.
Itās so try hard! And we have at least 3 characters keeping secrets from us, the players. Thereās too much going on! They should have just made Tear the main character instead and cut some others. What do the rest matter in, essentially, a story about a sister hunting her vengeful brother. Did she really need a love interest in Luke of all people??? I dunno, it just went everywhere I never really imagined. I played this when I was, like, 10-12. I was young, but I was still analyzing because thatās what I like to do. I actually do like Anise and Jade individually a lot though. They were pretty fun to me. Jade is pretty ridiculous though, but I liked Aniseās personal struggle as the classic traitor of the party. Itās a lot of pressure for a 13 year old girl. But, shhhh š¤«, because grown-ass male āTales ofā fans hate her guts, and Iām not supposed to like her or something. At least her āgold-diggerā antics make sense to her personal struggle, but whatever.
This topic is, like, a yearly thing for me because something will remind of it, and I can never find people who think the same as me about it, and it drives me up the wall. My siblings have to hear me rant. Nearly every comment is about how awesome Lukeās transformation is, and, uhhh, no, itās not lol. Despite all that, I have fond memories of tales of the Abyss. Specifically the gameplay. I actually like the fields of fonon thing because it goes well with multiplayer, and I like couch co-op a lot. My younger sister and I liked to set each other up this way. Fun stuff. If they ever remake it I hope it keep that feature, but I also hope they keep multiplayer. This is one of the few games I went above and beyond to collect almost every secret thing and whatnot. Even when one of my files got corrupted I started all over again.
Sheās, like, gonna go in there, but I have lost steam. I kinda, sorta hate rendering, man. I struggle with staying focused lol.
Iām kinda obsessing about witnessing Jupiter and Saturn through my nephewās telescope for the first time that I just dreamt that I actually did lol š Iām so disappointed it was a dream thoā¦ It felt real!
We were close yesterday. But it turns out we need, like, a 5mm eyepiece because the ones the telescope came with arenāt enough. We saw the moon tho. It was awesome. The most we could get out of Jupiter was a very blurry brown. No definition. Just that brownish color if you focused it a certain way with the 10mm eyepiece. Otherwise it was that weird glow-y white dot all throughout.
Telescopes are fun! My nephew is definitely onto something with this special interest in outer space.
Okay, so I think we can see Jupiter and Saturn with the 10mm eyepiece, we just couldnāt get it to focus properly. We were gonna try again tonight, but desert winds and sandstorms got in the way. Plus, my sister forgot my nephewās jacket, and itās chilly, and weāre all still sick.
The box has pictures of Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars none of use besides my nephew noticed, so I think itās possible! Why are none of the telescope YouTube nerd guys showing me how to focus?! Weāre total noobs at this! Weāre definitely doing something wrong lol. I fear this telescope thing is gonna take over my life for a while. My nephew has to see the planets with his own eyes! He wanted this for Christmas.
Iām still doing research on which other eyepiece to buy. I didnāt think there would be too many components to sky watching š I spent a while researching the best telescopes for beginners within a reasonable budget as is lol. This feels like some type of sitcom or something.

Oh, wow! The metal gear solid main theme is really almost 1:1 with Winter Road lol! Just a slightly different tempo and a few notes changed here and there. I know the og mgs theme by heart so it was kinda hard to not hum mgs to Winter Road. But, yeah, definitely plagiarism lol.
I didnāt read that one of the items I want was for pre order and I put everything in one order in Taobao, so now I have to wait for everything to come together after the pre order itemš Itās pgr merch. Iām feeling very silly right now lol. 2025 is the year I learn Mandarin for sure. My nephewās telescope isnāt getting here for Christmas either š¢
