ngl a non-insignificant part of my learning to embrace being male has been about learning to respect myself in spite of people who would see me regendered. when all the world around you repeatedly tells you that what you are is disgusting, or a waste, or undesirable, or that becoming yourself aligns you with evil, it becomes very easy to want to suppress yourself for others. to be endlessly receptive and responsive, to give your sense of self over to what other people want of you. to make them feel secure instead of seeking it yourself. but every single step i've taken towards self-actualizing has made me realer. becoming more "disgusting", becoming more "evil"? it's allowed me to feel my desires without censoring them. it's let me imagine my future. you do not have to take your time, you do not have to wait for later, you do not have to compromise for others. they will be uncomfortable, you will be uncomfortable, but on the other side is a body you can finally feel the world through and a life lived without shame. in many respects, the first person a trans man must forcemasc is himself.

This also reminds me of the part in Lou Sullivan's FTM guide where talks about how the medical field ignores the idea that there are people assigned female who get sexually aroused from FTM crossdressing, despite the fact that it very much exists. The assumption that forcemasc only exists because of jealousy ignores the fact that transmasculine desire is never ever ever given any kind of recognition or platform in any way despite its existence.
