I think Connor wears business clothes (suit, button down, slacks, dress shoes, tie + clip, fancy coat, the whole shebang) whenever he's out and about and expects to meet people, so business is like his default setting. Then he's got the casual outfits only for when he's chilling at home or walking Sumo.

I just feel like he likes how comfortable casual clothes are, but he's also too prim and proper to wear them outside of the comfort and safety of home.
