Good morning Amity Park, I'm your ghostly weatherman, Lance Thunder. Today's Friday, April 3 and there's a 60% chance of rain. Highs are in the low sixties, and the lows are in the low forties.

Three animal ghosts attacked last night, a horse in the Oak Valley gated community, a pig in the Walmart on 7th street, and a large raccoon on 23rd street in the neighborhood near Newton High School. Thankfully no major injuries occurred, property damage was minimal, and all ghosts were quickly captured by either Danny Phantom or The Red Huntress.

Several copies of one unflattering photo of Daniel Fenton have been placed all across Amity Park. This yearly tradition started 5 years ago on Daniel’s 14th birthday and has continued to grow in popularity since. When asked his opinion on the matter Daniel had this to say.

“I have no idea how it started. Like, maybe people were trying to make fun of me with it at first? Not sure. If they were, I guess that didn’t work out so well. I think it’s hilarious. And it’s crazy to see so many people organizing together like this for a dumb little joke. I kinda hope this goes on forever, you know? Like, I don’t think it’s super likely, but imagine if in like, ten, fifteen years, they’re still doing this every year. That would be awesome.”

The Fentons will likely be driving today.

Okay but say this teacher then learns that Danny is Phantom. It’s the first class after the reveal, and they say it like normal because it’s so rote now. And then they stop, and this look of horror just consumes their face, because they realize this whole time how wildly insensitive they’ve been.

And Tucker and Sam still just can’t stop laughing.

Absolutely funny to me that the quintessential reason super heroes keep their identity secret is to prevent villains from identifying their civilian selves and targeting the hero’s loved ones, and Danny’s out here like “oh yeah secret identity on it” but completely missed the memo on the second part so he’s guarding his secret identity tooth and nail from everyone… except literally every single villain of the series, who are all independently capable of doxxing him down to his social security number.

Like yeah the ruthless extrajudicial ghost warden with an eternity vendetta against Danny can show up in his family’s living room literally whenever he wants but thank god Mikey from math class doesn’t know, because that would be awkward.

And then it’s even funnier because it works, actually, considering Danny’s loved ones Started It and most of the villains in Danny’s life should actually be MORE afraid of Danny’s family than they are of Danny himself, and the Fentons already parade around with the ghost equivalent of a “kick me” sign on their backs and a loaded bazooka on their shoulders so there’s no amount of subtle Danny could reasonably be to make any difference. And by the time Phantom is accepted as a hero Danny is left with this inside-out backpack of a secret identity that every villain knows about and thats not protecting his loved ones and under normal superhero rules would no longer be serving any purpose EXCEPT for the very vital detail that his loved ones he’s protecting are the last and biggest outstanding threat to him.

Woah, this brought back memories of something I haven't read since I was 14. If I remember correctly it's a school trip - plane crash - trapped on an island - Identity reveal. (I don't remember if his identity is actually revealed, but it's waved in front of everyone, even the public, with a broom.)
