kitasunegawa:
“Unfortunately, no. If it were a dream I believe there would be more to this place that fit our favor…” An optimistic view he almost wished he could share if not for the experiences this city had provided him. There was too much in the way to simply rule this out as an elaborate figment of the mind.
“As for my arrival –” he begins, bringing a hand up to gently hold his chin in quiet thought. “I’ve been within this city for several months, at this point. Incidentally, the workings of this city are not unlike that which we’re familiar, so resuming daily life here has not been too difficult in the passing days.”
Ryuji hung his head in defeat, if only for a moment. Why couldn’t Yusuke just tell him ‘yep, it’s all a dream, you can wake up now!’ “Man.. this has gotta be some cruel joke.”
“How have you been here for several months?! Shouldn’t I have noticed you were gone back home..?” His memory almost seemed blurred, as if he really couldn’t quite figure out if its something he’d noticed or not... Not noticing was likely the case for him.
“You’ve just gone about things as you normally would? I hope your eating habits improved, at least.” Before he even had a moment to sigh, the blonde found his stomach grumbling. How appropriate food would be on the mind when one’s hungry! “I guess we can figure that out: Now anywhere we could grab a quick bite? Maybe you can fill me in on what the hell this place is.”
