Wyatt plops onto the ground and carefully listens to the current song with wonder. “Niichan, what’s this song called?” Wyatt giggles once Lazarus arrives and ruffles his hair, patting the Toxtricity’s arm. “Lazzy!”

"Hmm..." He looks to the CD. "... Luminary. It's a no lyric track." He tilts his head. "It's got an interesting beat. Definitely music you could play video games too."

Lazarus lets out a soft grunt and the Toxtricity moves to gently pet Wyatt's head.

"You're going soft, Laz." Milo comments. The Toxtricity gives his trainer a lazy side-eye before shrugging. Oh well!

Milo shakes his head.

Wyatt tilts his head again like a curious Growlithe. “Lumin…airy?” No lyric? “That means no words? Wyatt likes the song!” He tries humming along to the music, although he’s out of tune with the song.

“Niichan likes Lazzy’s head pats!” He smiles and points at the older boy, a triumphant grin on his face.

Donovan gives Lucky a sympathetic look, and gently rubs the Sylveon’s head. “We’ll find her. One thing at a time, bud. And I got a feeling this isn’t the last time we’ll be seeing that one.” With that he climbs onto Charizard, and takes one last look towards the city center. “…..How did he know who I am?” He remains silent the whole way back, and hops off once they reach camp. “I need to make a call. I’ll be right back.” Without waiting he walks off some distance away, before sitting in a meditative stance as he attempts to call someone via magic. Elsewhere… The Primal Beast leaps from building to building, coming to a stop just short of a temple carved into the rock, sniffing the air. “…..They’re here. She’s here. Should I send them back, or how should we go about this? The locals are already weary of the Sorcerer Supreme being here.” He speaks to seemingly nobody in particular, but doesn’t wait for a response. Entering the structure, he passes lit torches, and sits down in some sort of library. “It’s only a matter of time before they find this place.”

Upon arriving back at camp, Lucky immediately returns to Ashe and Friede and Ashe's eyes snap back to reality. She sighs deeply and holds her face and Friede looks over. He reaches an arm around to wrap around her smaller frame and he sips his tea. He notes Charizard bending down to let Donovan off before moving to shift over and lay down nearby. The Charizard greets him with a chuff. Friede smiles. He looks to Donovan then. "Well? What did you find?"

Ashe sighs shakily. "... An answer is what we found, Friede... but the person left before we could get a concrete confirmation."

Friede's brows furrowed in concern. "... Then for now we rest." He leans over to press a kiss to the side of her head. She leans into his touch and the two sit in silence, waiting for Donovan to speak.

Meanwhile...

... "My child came looking for me like the fool she is." A voice cut through. A woman with blonde hair so long it shifts almost to her feet, dressed in an attire that's definitely seen better days and glasses long since cracked, the woman rubs her temples. Behind her is a Milotic that is quite large. Easily surpassing the length a standard once would hold. It bends its head down and the woman strokes it.

"... I didn't want to be found. I was happy to continue my research here. My call is of the sea. This is where I find peace." She admits with a sad smile. "... And yet my daughter would see me dragged to the light." She shakes her head. She pulls forward towards the beast, moving to lay a hand to his shoulder. "You've kept me company for some time. I appreciate that... but I suppose this means my silence will be left to dust. Fantastic." The woman clicks her tongue.

"Well? How was she? My daughter?"

Mewtwo had finished setting everything up with Friede by the time they had returned, and silently observed the pair with a pinch of sympathy. “Perhaps whoever they encountered will still be around when we begin our search in earnest tomorrow. There is still much about this place that’s a mystery to us.”

Whatever conversation Donovan has is unheard, with the man sitting silently for several minutes before he lets out an aggravated sigh, rubbing his temple. “That was no help whatsoever.” Getting up with a grunt, his Golisopod Shredder hands him his thermos full of coffee. “Thank you Shredder. Welp, according to Strange there hasn’t been any security breaches in the Sanctum Sanctorum, so how our new friend knows about me is still a mystery.” He takes a swig of his bean soup. “Still, there’s something about him that’s….uncomfortably familiar.” Conjuring the Scarlet Book again, Donovan shows them the illustration of the Primal Beast. “It’s the same Paradox Pokemon from Area Zero. How he’s here, I have no clue.”

Meanwhile….

“Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, now does it?” He snorts in amusement at his comment. “She is your daughter, after all. So determined to see things through.” He gives her Milotic a nod of greeting, before focusing on Phoebe again.

“From what I’ve gathered, it seems she simply wants closure. You did ‘disappear’ abruptly after all. It’s enough to make any child want answers. And besides, it’ll do you some good to see some new faces. The Sorcerer Supreme is here as well, as long as your daughter’s mate.”

“But to answer your question, she seems to be doing well for herself all things considered. A researcher in her own right, with a powerful Sylveon as her partner.” He pauses to debate with himself about whether or not he should tell her she’s also a grandmother now. He decides against it…for now.

Wyatt already forgot what he was talking about. Crouching down over the CD collection as carefully as he could, he picks up a random one, not knowing what it was and presents it to Milo. “Niichan! This one!” He forgot to say please, but he adorably hops in place as he waits for Milo to make his choice.

Milo takes the CD and puts it on, popping out his current CD and then putting it away. He presses play... "... Hm." He says tilting his head. "Interesting."

With that, Lazarus appears in the doorway and comes to sit down beside the two, the Toxtricity's hand ruffling both their hair to which Milo chuffs. "Hey, Laz."
