A grin is quick to overtake the child’s face as the Pokemon straightened up, it’s cry mirroring the example offered by the device clutched in her small hands. Clearly grateful, she bobbed her head in thanks to the Houndoom, finishing the registration before pocketing the Pokedex once more. Even now she had more information, Frisk’s curiosity remained unwavering.
* ❝Ah, thank you! For lettin’ me register you in my thingy. I can show off to that other kid from class now, ‘cause he ain’t seen nothing like you! … Think he wants t’be rivals. But, it’s whatever! ‘Cause I’m gonna beat the Pokemon League when I’m bigger, before him. Even if he, um, got his first badge already, and I’m still… levelling up— heh.❞
It was fine. So she’d fallen behind a little, that was true. Levelling up her Pokemon was on her to do list, as well as the closest Gym— but Frisk wanted to explore first. Make sure everything sighted was in the Pokedex, catching new members! Head tilting curiously, she asked—
* ❝Hey… you don’t seem wild, Houndoom. D’you got a Trainer?❞
He chuckled, this child was simply adorable and amusing to interact with. But the thoughts just won’t leave his mind; what were they doing out here? Alone? Shouldn’t they be in, “class”, as Frisk has mentioned. If they are a trainer they should be done with class, and well prepared right? He growled to himself, he can’t believe he’s getting so concerned over a child. If he’s so worried he may as well pick them up by the collar of their shirt and take them to the nearest town.
He sighed. Whatever he does he wasn’t going to simply abandon them.
A tail flick was simply offered and the head was tilted slightly. He will admit, he admired the child’s determination to make it big. Damien gave a grunt in approval of their choice. There was no need to rush and it was dangerous to jump into a fight if you’re not sure if you’re prepared. Damien wondered what Pokemon they had in their possession, but its not like they can ask.
And even if he wanted to help, unfortunately, yes he does have a trainer. He gave a nod to confirm it. He wouldn’t ever call himself wild or a rogue.
