Next up on the cast of characters from the story I'm writing, Briar!
Guillermo Del Toro on AI "art"
SDCC 2025: Lucas Museum Of Narrative Art
Was going through my abandoned projects and thought I could maybe save this one (the perspective used to be WAY worse). More, old OCs.
I'm in the "reviving your cringe, highschool OCs and digging deeper this time," phase of my 30s.
As gen-AI becomes more normalized (Chappell Roan encouraging it, grifters on the rise, young artists using it), I wanna express how I will never turn to it because it fundamentally bores me to my core. There is no reason for me to want to use gen-AI because I will never want to give up my autonomy in creating art. I never want to become reliant on an inhuman object for expression, least of all if that object is created and controlled by tech companies. I draw not because I want a drawing but because I love the process of drawing. So even in a future where everyone’s accepted it, I’m never gonna sway on this.
My New Years resolution: more butts; fewer backgrounds.
Returning to my cringe, high-school OCs with GUSTO.
Hey, artists, what platform are we all using these days?
Any knitters out there who could tell me what stitch this is on the sleeve and front panel?
Long time, no art. Time to draw the cringe, high school OCs!
What is the lesbian equivalent of gray sweatpants?
Maybe in another 16 years, I'll be on a professional level!
Decided I wanted to make a young David to go with my old David.
I still miss him.

More fan art of TJ Klune's lovely novel, The House in the Cerulean Sea.
