a sky kid headcanon i’ve had for a while is that when they blush it’s a dark blue! a few of my drawings show this & i just think it’s neat 😸

if we wanna get technical, in my mind it’s because the…. innards of sky kids seem to be this blue crystal matter, as seen by this mask ⤵️

i love making ocs and thinking about them and drawing them but coming up with backstories and remembering everything is so complicated 😭 i’ve given myself work that isn’t even real

primrose realised he was in love with minta when minta gave him one of his feather pins, that he dyed himself to match with primrose’s braid jewel & earring.

minta realised he was in love with primrose the night he saved him from a krill attack that would’ve killed primrose.

for primrose, the action of minta giving him something of his own was special because he’s never been shown such intimate kindness

& for minta, the action of saving primrose without hesitation led him to have the epiphany that he would unquestionably risk his life for primrose

minta is the one that confesses first, even though primrose realised he loved minta first

i think this encapsulates their different personalities well without undermining either of their personal experiences of falling in love with each other :]

it also links to their backstories, which i’ve been cooking up in my brain for a while and have yet to bring to fruition 😅
