Quick update :)

Hello,

So last time I wrote was almost a year ago, I clearly don’t usually do this much, do I? Well obviously many things have happened since then. I’m been living with three other lovely girls from all over the globe, getting good grades at uni, and trying to adult. I can say I feel more mature, I can handle certain things much better than before. I feel good, I’m still a bit confused in life, but it’s ok...

Maria started her first semester in the US, and even if I am very sad that she is so far away from me, I think she made the right choice and I’m so very proud of her! Hopefully we’ll meet soon! I miss u, my baby.

I slowly starting to like Florence more and more, or at least appreciate it, it’s beautiful, full of culture and art. So much to see, so much to learn, so much to try. But I admit I miss home, specially the sea. The food. The sun! (Florence has weird weather, it’s never stable, and most of the city center is shaded because the buildings are high and close). Currently I’m in the process of searching for a part-time job, tomorrow I start an advanced illustration course (which I’m very excited about), and well big changes will come for me soon as I’m making a important decision. But I’ll tell you that in year or so hahaha. 

Life is good, I can’t complain. 

Although I do, but I’ll learn.

Quick update on a lot of thingssss

Sky is studying University in Florence since January and I’m graduating from high school in Mostar in May!!

We met in Berlin for a few days after not meeting in over a year.

we visited an abandoned airport and walked for hours.

We are traveling to Belgrade together in a few days.

Sky is mad at me because after Mostar I will be going to college in the US instead of staying in Europe close to her. (woops)

I’m BaCH

So, I’ve been procrastinating, for a bit...

Well, BIG NEWS for our 1 million FoLlOwErS, (I would like to thank to our very faithful 7 followers, including myself, and María): I’ve changeeeeed... a lot, obvs.

Last time you heard from me was Halloween ‘15, now we are at the very end of this roller coaster of 2016. So what has changed in my beautiful extravaganza luxury life? Well... I finally finished high school! (LET’S CELEBRATE! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GwjfUFyY6M )... like over a year now hehe. And my senior year was honestly my worst, I came out with a very, very, very, low average grade, BUT thanks to my less lazy attitude throughout and over-achiever status in my first three years, I ended up with a good score, quite good tbh, I was surprise myself. And also, I’m starting college, like in a month. I moving away from sunny Playa to live in Florence, Italy (this song is dope, bruh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayKZZeUcvZI). I will study graphic design... and I’ve had plenty of comments on my choice of major, for the ones who really don’t know what it is, will go to the simple “Oh cool” tact to avoid any further information, the perfect closure to it. To the very dramatic “YOU’LL STARVE! OH POOR CHILD, YOU ARE DOOMED!” Yes thank you, that was EXACTLY my plan, and the very excited “OMG that’s so cool! Can I see your work? How did you get in? OMG Florence, I love Italia! Lucky girl! I’m soooooooooooooooo jealous.” which I don’t know how to respond, except like:

I mean it’s nice having people being happy for me, but I am as fucking confused about everything as I was ever! I’m not even sure if this is what I want, and people are making such big deal about it, when I like wtf w ma life. 

So NoW you would be asking yourself, “But Skylar, what have you done for the last year??!?!?!” Chill out my amigo, or amiga, or amigao@, I know you didn’t ask that, I myself ask how are you still reading this, but ok, let’s not change topic. This last year has been a combo of working, travelling and plain old lazytown action (and not Lazy Town action, those guys are too active for my taste). I spend time working as an assistant for a wedding photographer, where my main challenge was to photoshop the brides... not proud of it, not one bit, I did talk about it with my boss, but he explained that cameras add you a bit a weight (which is true), but still I felt guilty. Then I went all the way to beautiful Mallorca to work in a hotel as a children’s entertainer, the kids were great, but the very long hours (14 hrs daily), little sleep, stress didn’t help, and I quit. Plus I was making very little income, no regrets. 

Well for the rest of it, I will tell you another time, or the faster way, I’ll show you.

Barely anybody gets to read our blog, but it’s kinda fun doing it anyways, so I’m just going to act like we have a million followers, but in reality we only have handful 😅 hehehe… So… MY LIFE: Ever since I came back to my lovely Playa, I went back to my normal life of school, friends and of course, stress… I’ve left behind my cosmopolitan days for the summer, and I’m just craving another trip soon. Here everything is good, we’ve got rainy days, and sunny days, I’ve gone out and stayed in a lot. I wish I could say something very interesting is happening, but meh… it’s all the same. Though we can’t forget how EPIC Halloween was, partied ‘till five a.m. with some of the best friends in the world, I had so much fun! But I do add, sweaty and crowded clubs are not as great as I expected to be, some guy dressed as Tarzan certainly gave me some +18 signatures, which I did not appreciate as much. But overall, it was nice. I can say this, online school has been a huge pain in the ass, but it’s so worth it. With some discipline, I’m advancing really quickly, and if I continue, I will finish a semester earlier. Which is awesome. More free time for… well I guess more work and study… ok, it’s not so great… This blog is certainly a strange thing, even though nobody is really reading this, it’s still public, I mean this is the internet… I might get famous… I hope I don’t. Ok… this is getting out of topic… so I’ll leave you all for the next time where I talk to myself on the internet…😁 Best wishes and be happy who ever you are. S

The three long days I spent in Mostar was the most fun I ever had! Maria is one lucky girl! I had the chance to visit a beautiful city with strong past, I remember next to my hostel there was an abandon building slowly crumbling down, filled with bullet shots and cracks everywhere, it was interesting to see the ruins of the war. Also I would hear the daily prayer of the mosque nearby. I'm so happy I got the chance to see how Maria's new life is, in a way it kind of makes me feel that I'm with her because I know how she is living and how the city looks and feels, I'm glad I came. I had the chance to meet many young and quite interesting, fun people from around the world. People who I found amazing, and I hope I get to meet more people like them. But my favorite Uwcer is always my number one gal, Mariuchi Preciosiuchi. Spending my last day dancing and singing to Mexican music was the peak of my trip. I hope to get to see her soon! I miss her (but that I painfully miss her), but I still feel that she is with be even if she's not. I loved Mostar and I love you, María! When I start college in Europe next, I'll will get to visit her or maybe she can visit me 😏 Falalala S

Meet my wonderful roomie Ela. This girl is the best roomie I could've asked for. She practically takes care of everyone in our entire residence (Sušac ❤️) and she will always be there to give people a hug, a smile, some ginger tea or some really good cuddles. Also, if you're a confused drunk firstie (not that we ever drink) she'll make sure you don't get a hang over the next day. The first week of school after induction week I was feeling really homesick, I woke up crying one morning and went to Ela's bed, took a leap of faith in our relation (we weren't really close back then) and told her what I was feeling. She hugged me so strong and cuddled me until I started feeling better. "Don't be afraid of having two homes". I had never been so far away from my mom and the sudden realization that I was going to spend the next to years of my life here combined with the fact that I hadn't decorated my side of the room, made me feel like I had no such thing as home in Mostar. We had watched finding nemo a few days before and two days later Ela gave one of the first decorations I put in our room. I love Ela and how close she is to everyone but how I'll get to have her a little bit more than everyone else in my generation.
