Imma get dragged for what I'm about to say, but IDGAF.
Jikook being the only 2 with the cojones to dance to "ON" when it came up while the others sat it out like they usually do, should tell ya'll who are the members responsible for their choreographies getting mediocre as the years passed.
Just like right now they're gaslighting the fandom into believing that the members not being shown on the big screen while singing/dancing (like JIMIN FOR EXAMPLE) during the concerts its cause "they're off-key/off-beat". Its nothing short of full malicious intent.
Cause I could understand if it happened once or twice, BUT EVERY SINGLE CONCERT?!

And some of the aforementioned members are in on it too. Like Mr. Dance leader always openly bitching about Jimin "going too fast" during practices when we've seen that Jimin is the only one in sync with the music and the Guide and HE is the one going too slow.
I dont even know where to begin on all of the things that are wrong about this tweet (and the following ones). I guess let's start by pointing out the terribly mistaken notion that TAEHYUNG??? is athletic? 😭😭😭😭
I obviously don't know the ins and outs of their relationship - maybe Yoongi is an amazing friend to Jimin in many ways we don't know about. It's possible. But that doesn't mean he doesn't come off as damn miserable when he talks to Jimin. I know it's packaged as teasing and play but people like that will genuinely push all your buttons and undermine you and act like it's all good fun. I can only hope Jimin gives back the same to Yoongi and just has the good sense to be normal in front of camera because he's aware how fans can be because this one sided condescending dynamic gets old fast. I'm over it
at the risk of projection, surely many of us have personally dealt with and continue to deal with condescending statements from people; some from friends, and some even from family members. we have different levels of tolerance to so-called banters and bickering from people depending on our relationship with them, so understandably, not everyone will be bothered on things that have been said. others like you and me, however, see those things as unnecessary. from my experience and belief, such things are mainly projection of insecurities and frustrations to others. and frankly, who even wants such energy anymore?
it's frustrating to see how yg remains like this with jimin. sure, his being grumpy has been his normal and his schtick for a long time now, but they do get old. teasing, bickering, and not sugarcoating things are one thing. being condescending and insensitive are other things; those intend to hurt someone and weaken their enthusiasm and confidence. i've seen some fans also say that yg knows jimin better than any of us (w/c is true), hence his "we" statements and opinions shouldn't be an issue. but man, it sucks to have a close friend demotivate you like that, even for the sake of teasing (the odds that the same opinions happen out of the camera are high; and it's not even the first time). just bcs jimin can take on his negativities, it doesn't mean he has to.
yg couldve been more supportive and acknowledged jimin's effort of trying things. it's not like jimin was forgetting himself and was selling his soul that he needs some unwanted reality checks. instead, jimin was being enthusiastic about exploring things, only for yg to sort of shoot him down like that (again okayyy things could be a joke, but maybe please retire them?). he could've been nicer, especially to someone he's been proudly saying is one of the people he leans on the most. and this goes out to other members as well, bcs while we don't always know what goes on behind the scenes, and while i'm sure jimin isn't perfect either, most of them tend to exhibit unpleasant behaviors towards jimin, when he has been (mostly) gentle and loving with them. give back more of the same level of respect and energy that jimin has been consistently showering them with.
jimin doesn't need to be bubble-wrapped, but contradictory behaviors and comments from his friend/s will always be noticeable. they will always draw discussions. anyone, not just jimin, deserves an environment where they can fully embrace themselves and get warm, fearless affection and support. it's a good thing jimin has been a force and has been steadfast with the things he wants to do despite snarks and opposition happening all the time.
i also believe jimin has been giving the same energy to yg in his own way, or was reacting emotionally less, like what he has mentioned in that one interview before. jimin knows how to hold his ground; he calls out bs and things that are below the belt (have happened before, based also on their stories; the latest example (told by rm and yg themselves) was jimin calling out rm over his tone towards tae, albeit he and tae were drunk).
i can acknowledge that yg supports jimin in other ways, and vice versa. but yg's undermining tendencies and can take the backseat. that behavior isn't always cool even especially from someone you call a friend. if anything, it just sucks out joy and energy.
Yoongi still being condescending, gaslighting and being unnecessarily mean spirited towards Jimin…Treating somebody who you view as your go to “emotional support” person is real nasty idc.
And armys can use that “the members know each other better than solos do.” line all they want. But the way they reacted to Jimin when he simply referred to Taehyung as a “guest” for AYS, lets me know hypocrisy, and shielding is at play.
And it’s the way they defend this behavior too, acting like Yoongi is the reason Jimin debuted in BTS or that he’s the most supportive person ever. Miss me with all this bullshit. And relationships aren’t this black or white, it’s not cause he praised Jimin’s voice one day that he can’t be rude to him the next day.
I’m also tired of this narrative about the members not being able to live without each others or them being the most important people in each others lives. Obviously it’s gonna seem that way to fans cause you only see them interact together but they have a real life and relashionship with people we don’t even know about. I’m not denying they’re close and they’ve experienced things together that only them can understand but they’re also coworkers so it’s not as simple as them being friends.
