After reading this @itellyouthisisnottheendit's post, I decided to share one of my headcanons.

Maekar is Daeron's favorite son.

He's allowed to have so many children (which makes no sense, as pointed out in the original post).

He is the Lord of Summerhall, his father's palace dearest to his heart (which is a horrible translation of "luogo del cuore").

He is clearly the one who dresses everyone around him. No, stop, no other ideas allowed, it's all Maekar's design!!! (We really need more Modern!AUs where he's a stylist or the head of a fashion house.)

And if Baelor was their mother's favorite…

He even has a personal coat of arms, which after the whole Blackfyre Rebellion…

I also think Aemon was Daeron's favorite grandson, or rather, the one he saw as a mirror of himself. Like, I know that Aemon in A Feast for Crows sort of complains about his fate, but why was Aemon the one sent away to the Citadel? Was it only because Egg was still too young to be sent there as well?
