Awhile back I did a bunch of YOI/FE x-over sketches and forgot all line arting them and colouring them. Until today!! FE Heroes made it so mage dancers were no longer me cheerfully disregarding canon, so here we go: Mage Dancer Yuri Katsuki, the most beautiful mage dancer in the world with his classic ice flower dance.
There is an actual plot for this AU, which may involve some equally cheerful butchering of FE4/FE5 plot and world building but Iāll keep that quiet for another time.

When Estelle wakes up, her head is still too groggy and each breath she tries to draw in through her nose makes her honk like an unfortunate goose.Ā
āRita...ā Estelle whines, sitting up as she tries to peel off the cooling pack from her forward.Ā āCan I hab my tiss--ā
Her voice trails off as he gaze falls on the girl sleeping against her bed.Ā
āOh.ā Estelle brings up her hand to cover her mouth. She looks around the room, finding her trash bin full of snotty tissues had been cleared, her clothing put away, books ordered and tidied and placed well within reach and there was a still warm bowl of congee on her table, waiting for her to eat.Ā
Rita, who barely had the patience to take care of herself properly, had done all of this for her...? Estelle smiles and wonders if the flush in her cheeks was from the fever or the warmth of knowing Rita was looking out for her.
Having the flu was not at all like the dramatic tales of swooning and fevers (Estelle didnāt swoon and her fever had never been that bad to begin with), heartwarming chicken soup (āDo you WANT to throw up again? Eat your congee!!ā āBut Rita--ā āEAT. IT.ā) and delirious risque cuddling (āRita, why are you all the way over there?ā āI donāt want to get sick.ā āBut Iām so lonely--ā āToo bad. Here. Have this toy.ā) her romance novels said they would be.Ā
But, as she reaches out to gently coax Rita to share the bed with her because it surely wasnāt comfortable like that, Estelle thought reality was far better.
Based off Meiās most adorable little fic. Itās late but work destroyed me so Iām slowly catching up.
āShe hadnāt expected to miss Rita so much...It was the way she would start laughing at something she had read and look up to tell Rita, then realize Rita wasnāt beside her. Or how she had tried turning the curry she was making for dinner into curry bread, thinking that Rita would like it better, and then spent the whole meal picking at her food and wondering if Rita was remembering to take breaks for trivial things like eating and sleeping. Or when sheād spotted a pod of dolphins chasing the Fiertiaās wake and had reached instinctively for Ritaās sleeve to tug her to the railing to look properly.ā
āEstelle stood there, bright-eyed and adoring as she traced out the constellations of the night with her fingertips. She weaved together the stories she had once read about the stars, how the flowers of the night were placed to allow the living to remember the departed and let them live on forever in everyoneās hearts.
Rita knew better what the stars were - great giant flaming balls of gas whose light had finally reached them from galaxies away - nothing like the mythical fantasies Estelle adored- but Estelleās hand was warm in hers, and there was something important in what she had to say.ā

ā It starts when Estelle eyes some young girls playing among a field of flowers with a wistful air and saysĀ āI wish I could make those.ā
Rita looks up from her book and studies the things in the girlsā hair.
āWhat, the flower crowns?ā
Estelle beamsĀ āYes. Those. Arenāt they so cute? Sometimes the little girls in Halure will make me one to wear but Iāve never seen them done. Oh, but they must be so hard to make--ā
āActually, theyāre pretty easy.ā A pause. Rita looks Estelleās way. Estelle stares back with wide, hopeful eyes, a sweet smile and clasped hands.
ā...fine. Letās go get some flowers.ā
And thatās how Rita finds herself with Estelle, all dressed up because Estelle thought it would fit the mood, teaching Estelle how to weave flowers together.Ā
āLike that. Here, you can have mine.ā Rita sets her crown on Estelleās hair, gently adjusting it so the pinkish-golden flower crown rested just so. Of course, it suited Estelle perfectly. These sort of cute things always did.
āThank you, Rita! Ah--just a second, Iām nearly done--ā Rita watches in bemusement as Estelle works in the very last flower to be the centrepiece and holds it up in pride.
āYay! I did it. Here, Rita. This one is for you.ā
Rita ducks her head obligingly.
āI donāt think this sort of thing really suits me, you know,ā Rita says flatly, as she lifts her head. Not like Estelle. But Estelle shakes her head, and leans forward to clasp their hands together and press a quick kiss to Ritaās cheek.
āWh--Estelle?ā Ritaās cheeks redden as Estelleās cheeks redden but Estelle just laughs, pressing their foreheads together.
āIt suits you, it definitely suits you. Youāre the cutest girl in the world, Rita. ā
And there was very little Rita could say to deny it when Estelle smiled at her like that.
Summary: Ā And reality is so different. The hopes of childhood donāt always pan out the way you want them to. In which Yuri has a crisis of faith and Flynn tries not to fly off the handle. (Pre-canon fic; Day 3 of Fluristelle Month: Separation)

Iām not saying that this is definitely what Mist was doing at the end of PoR but Iām just saying, Ashnard DID have that medallion on him that whole time, so.
for poor @tessarine who needed genderswap!flynn scifo in her life that wasnāt just hereās flynn and now hereās some boobs on flynn. I played around with her hair before ultimately deciding she needed to look cute and elegant with the fluffiest hair :)
