I went back to sleep and had another weird dream.
It felt like I was in the first week of college at a place I didn't know. There were hundreds of people around outside just grouped up-- all kind of interacting and moving around but I don't know what any of us are doing. I walk by a large group of them and get separated from the only two people I apparently knew and came with after being distracted by the looks and shouts of the crowd.
The crowd was yelling at me something along the lines of "so much for making new friends" so I yelled back "I'm Skyler" and kept walking
Others called back out to me from the crowd and I remember saying "so you've heard of me" as I do a little spin and keep walking away from the crowd.
All the while their faces and looks and shouting became more strange and distorted.
Then suddenly this guy walks up to me and grabs me by the shoulders and says "hey, don't you think everyone here is kind of weird and boring?"
We lock eyes intensely as a simple "Yes" wells up in me, escaping my mouth as I lace our fingers to take his hand.
He says come with me so we start off to leave.
I'm no longer with or around anyone I know.
He takes us to a house and opens up a door and as he enters the room a woman is already sitting on a bed waiting for us. She moves to one side of the bed as he joins opposite her and motions at the space between them for me and an unknown stranger, who entered the room from behind us as he opened the door initially, to join them.
Unsure as to what was happening I froze. Waiting for something in my brain to click and understand what was actually going on. What did they want from me? What were we doing? What was going on? Something felt really strange.
I see the two on the bed exchange a knowing look and that was enough for me to know it was time to get out of there so I dont say anything and I leave the room and close the door behind me.
After closing the door behind me I'm in a long skinny salmon colored hallway with redish orange trim with doors lining both sides. The door i exited out of is situated at the end in the middle of the hallway.
The next thing I know I'm walking down the hallway away from the door and hundreds of people start panicking and are trying to escape from the room I just exited which causes a stampede at the door, preventing anyone from escaping the room. It was like people were pouring out of the doorway, piled up like a massive load of laundry, except with faces and eyes and limbs, all screaming and flailing around at me, yelling in fear and trying to escape from something.
Afraid I run through one of the doorways and suddenly I'm in someone else's apartment. There are a few people scattered throughout the living room on furniture asleep but one is awake and notices me.
I talk to them like I know them but I have no idea who these people are. I remember telling one of them I love them and to have a good day, trying to act as if my presence was as normal and mundane as them sleeping on the couch of the living room is while actually trying to get out of their apartment.
I open their front door to leave and it leads me to another living room of someone else's house. And again there are people in it.
This time instead of interacting with them I just rush through to the only door that makes sense as an exit in my mind only to be met with the living room of another person's house again.
This happens repeatedly for a while until I'm back at the house the boy took me to in the living room. I end back up in the salmon colored hallway again and the only way forward or out feels like is back toward the room everyone is trying to escape from, piling up at the door in massive heap of yelling bodies faces and limbs.
Too scared to go back to the door at the end of the hall I enter a different door on the left side of the hallway.
It's a bathroom. But hardly. The room is much smaller than any of the previous rooms I've been in. The walls touch my shoulders and if sitting on the toilet the entirety of my legs and knees touch the back of the door.
Immediately a loud banding begins on the door, which now seems almost metallic. Like the material the outside of a water heater has around it. Thin flimsy loud metal. Someone is pounding on this door with all of their strength trying to push it open. But the room is too small for the door to swing in and I'm using my legs and knees at this point to keep them from opening it.
The banging continues until suddenly the metal door is being stabbed by a knife-like metallic object but what turns out to be a metallic flat rounded spatula. They pierce through the metal enough for me to be able to grab hold of the spatula without risk of harm and I get control of it.
Then just as fast as the banging started it stopped and I woke up.
