it was pretty well known that skyler wasn't as close to rayne as she was to their other siblings but that didn't mean that she didn't care for the girl any less. crossing her arms over her chest, she looked at her sister for a moment before she began to speak. worrying her lip between her teeth, skyler had never really felt as distant from her siblings as she did right now. she would do literally anything for them but she'd been caught up in herself and her own problems that she'd pushed away from everyone. now she wanted to fix it, or.. really she just missed her family. knocking on the door, skyler stuck her head in the room of her younger sister and offered up a small smile, "hey, you busy?"

skyler had been, rather unnaturally, quiet recently. she felt on edge, nerves skyrocketing and closing herself off to everything and everyone. she barely even felt connected to her family anymore and she knew she needed to fix that. though, the way she felt hadn’t improved, no matter what she did to try to fix it.

the girl tugged at the sleeves of her shirt, hastily wrapped bandages covering her wrists and forearms though even she couldn’t account for the fact that a small amount of blood would start to stain through to her shirt. taking a deep breath, skyler pushed through the door to see her brother, the sight automatically causing her to chew on her lip. “hey xavi.” her voice was soft, different from her usual timbre but the girl couldn’t bring herself to act normal. she was never good at it in the face of her brother.
