Loki, punished for his lie
Hail to You in heaven,
Companion of the Thunderer,
Flashing in the folds of
Grey storm clouds,
Lighting up the gale night sky,
Traversing the space between
Heaven and earth.
Hail to You in the earth,
World-breaker, Whose writhings
Cause the continents to collide
And the ground to tremble;
Whose escape will see
The world burn about You.
Hail to You in the home,
Heater of the hearth,
Comforter from the cold,
Protecting those children
Under Your care
From forces that wish them harm.
Hail to You in the city,
At the corners against the walls
Where those without shelter huddle;
In the places where bricks are flung
And flags raised
Against cruel worlds.
Hail to You in the mind,
In the flashes of mad inspiration
And destructo-creative urge;
In retorts against our oppressors,
In slicing remarks and cutting words,
And in those that bring joy and laughter.
Hail to You in the body,
In the burning of the heart
And the fire in the veins;
In the quick feet and nimble fingers
And fast tongues
And seductive grins.
Hail to You near and far,
Seen and unseen,
Day and night,
In light and in darkness.
Hail to Loki, and may Your complexities
Never run dry.

good evening by Sceith-A
Queer God
Son of Laufey and daughter of Fárbauti,
Mother of Sleipnir and father of Hel,
Bringer of Gifts and Breaker of Worlds,
Ás and jötunn.
Not black and white; never one or the other;
Always fluid, changing; always in-between;
Both and neither; insider and outsider;
Friend and foe; husband and wife.
Hail to You, Queer God.
Hail to He Who will not be kept in place.
Hail to She Who crosses all boundaries.
Hail to They Who defies all binaries.
Idk I wrote this up just now. I love You, asshole.
Norse goddesses!
OMMMMGGGGGG
Remember that Gods of the Norse pinup calendar?
This… Yeah. This complements perfectly.
Modern Norse Myths
Skadi on the hunt in Canada. Her wolves howling; prowling for the missing Aboriginal girls and those who dare hurt them.
Jormungand slithering at the deep bottom of the ocean floor. Befriending the unknown that lurks in the darkness.
Sleipnir galloping at the race track; a star. Mother Loki showering him victory bouquets. Sleipnir giving up the track to show up at all the kids’ houses who wished for a pony.
Wolves howling, not at the moon or sun, but at their siblings chasing the bright orbs
Freyja planting new flowers in her garden for the slain and forgotten. Expansive meadows grow in honor of fallen during the Holocaust, the forgotten girls in Nigeria, those slaughtered by a faulty police force, and tragedies we will never know.
Warriors and activists drinking mead in the halls of Valhalla. Pouring some on the ground for those still fighting the good fight.
Níðhöggr devouring rapists and abusers.
Thor, the protector of trans girls. The gift of thunder and lightning through their veins, giving them the strength. Brings the ladies to have self-care days with Freyja and Heimdall.
Hel complaining about her space becoming too crowded and expands her dwelling. Deceased actors and playwrights put on theatre productions; music artists play instruments and sing in the courtyards; painters creating beautiful murals. Death is filled with the living.
Ragnarock coming. Bringing new life from its ashes. Bringing needed change in this malnourished world.
(Reblog and add more ^^)
Njörd hangs out with surfer dudes and teaches them new sick moves, when he isn’t busy supporting the activists trying to conserve our oceans.
Loki is working his subtle ways, inspiring those trying to bring others around to a new way of thinking, silvering the tongues of those who aim to create a society where nobody has to live in fear, giving strength to those who are different. Proudly marching at Pride events, proudly loving his strange children, proudly standing for the right to love where one’s heart leads.
Hel is teaching again, teaching young women all they need to know, like she has in the past, as it is half remembered by those who know the story of Mother Hulda.
Thor is teaching too; he teaches young men the strength that lies in being gentle, that honour lies in creating and protecting, not in tearing down and destroying.
Odin is walking the earth, listening to the wisdom of other cultures, learning their languages. His ravens zip through the internet, connecting people, spreading news that need to be heard by all.
And the Norns sit in at the roots of the tree that is all, Urd is whispering knowledge of the forgotten past to those who will listen, of Black vikings, of women proudly sailing with their men. Verdandi is breathing deeply, so many new things, so many beautiful moments to live in, reminding us not to forget to enjoy the present as we look into the future.
And under her veil Skuld is smiling.
Loki standing for the queer, neuroatypical, disabled, mentally ill, abused, all the outsider kids our so called society wants to erase and destroy. Loki standing next to us and making us feel strong, proud of what we are, never invisible again.
Thor being there victims of injustice and abuse and mockery, filling them with anger and strength. Thor cheering them as they stand up against the ones who try to break them. Thor encouraging his followers during physical activities, supporting them when they have huge difficulties.
Angrboda being a teacher of young modern witches, not only with the old magic and knowledge but with the new ones too. Angrboda using technology and the newest forms of communication to teach them.
Sigyn protecting children and women, both cis women and trans women, from patriarchal violence. Sigyn caring for all of them, embracing them with her mighty arms until the end of the world.
First finished piece from Rebecca Guay’s SmArt School class! It’s amazing how much I’m learning! Read more: http://goldseven.wordpress.com/2016/10/08/loki-cloak-of-feathers/
@shadowfire1223 did you see this yet?
You may kiss the bride by SceithAilm Then bound they on Thor | the bridal veil, And next the mighty | Brisings’ necklace. Keys around him | let they rattle, And down to his knees | hung woman’s dress; With gems full broad | upon his breast, And a pretty cap | to crown his head.Then Loki spake, | the son of Laufey: “As thy maid-servant thither | I go with thee; We two shall haste | to the giants’ home.”
A smile that hides daggers, a tongue that cuts gems;
Eyes that pierce armor, a heart of pure flame.
Your presence disquiets gods, yet in your company I’m most content.
World Breaker, the anchor of my world.
Loki.
(personally I prefer the black and white)
Another Myth!Loki sketch: Remember that one time when #Loki stole #Brisingamen and turned into a seal to (try to) escape #Heimdall ?
I’ve been trying to figure out a design for Loki!seal for a while. I think this is one step closer. :)
ZOMG his expression tho!

A Devotional Prayer to Loki
Flame-hair, your soul burning into the night,
Throwing caution to the wind
And casting the die of fate,
Teach me your fearlessness.
Lie-smith, your sharp words like daggers,
Cutting through illusions to the bone
And revealing the reality we refuse to see,
Teach me your clarity.
Silver-tongue, whispering carefully veiled truths,
Sowing shrouded mystery in your wake,
And leading only the clever onward,
Teach me your secrecy.
Gift-Bringer, recognizing all the overlooked,
Giving rightly earned reward where it’s due,
And in turn, blame as well,
Teach me your justice.
Scar-lip, ending silence in the face of injustice,
Grinning down at the outcasts
And rallying your voice with theirs,
Teach me your anger.
Pain-holder, accepting your punishment,
Embracing the consequences of your deeds,
And taking the fall of those who are weaker,
Teach me your resilience.
World-breaker, harbinger of chaos,
Spitting fire upon the stagnant
And carving the spear of change,
Teach me your courage.
Cruel-striker, slanderer of the gods,
Burning the inefficient and stale,
Revealing potential in the ashes,
Teach me your insight.
Sly-walker, throwing your mischievous grin about
And casting laughter into the darkness
Where before there was only despair,
Teach me your joy.
Shape-changer, manipulator of all walks of life,
Confidently adapting to every situation,
Commanding the strength of any form,
Teach me your cunning.
Hearth-fire, warmth of my heart,
Your arms a sanctuary where none is found
Light and life of the home I can always return to,
Teach me your nurturing.
Sky-treader, ever true to your wild heart,
Letting none even try to contain your spirit
As free as the sky itself,
Teach me your passion.
Hail Loki,
And thank you, my God
For everything you bring to my life.
I love you so.
First artistic homage to Loki, my lovely god. ♥
