As someone who was almost but not quite legally old enough to vote in the presidential election, I can say this:

This is the most powerless I have ever felt.

As a queer afab person I am scared and upset. I am also angry. Angry that people are filled with hatred and would choose a racist, homophobic, misogynistic, old white man to run our country when we had a strong candidate who didn’t stand for hate. Angry that I had to sit by as crucial decisions about me were made without me. Angry for everyone who has been affected by the decisions his administration has made so far and angry for those who will be affected in the future.

However angry I am, I firmly believe that we can get through this. There is a community and there are people who care. This is not the end because we won’t let it be the end.
