Riverside EMS Fleet!
Stay Tuned for Fleet Friday's where we will take a close look at some of the specialized vehicles and their roles in Riverside EMS!
Riverside's EMS Chief was the first to arrive on scene of a single vehicle MVA.
The only patient, the driver, was in critical but stable condition and was transported to SLGH. The incident took place on Route 8, just in front of the Yankee Truck Stop.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation by the SLSP and the Riverside County Sheriff's Office Investigation Division.
Riverside Fire & Rescue had a mutual aid training night with collaboration from Riverside EMS at the Riverside Public Safety Campus.
Riverside EMS has received their first 4 HD/S2 Panther Type 2 ambulances. The vehicles have been fully stocked and are in service being operated by their respective crews!
My custom graphics work for Riverside Fire, I think I finally perfected the tricky gold leaf look!
Our EMS Chief, Maura, lent her graphic design skills to the Riverside Fire Department to give them a simple yet classic look to their apparatus. Great Job Chief!
Riverside EMS received the delivery of our Vintage 1941 American LaFrance 600 Model, which was purchased and used during the late 60's and early 70's as an Emergency Squad Truck. Riverside soon retired the outdated truck and switched to ambulances with the implementation of the new Paramedic after 1973.
The fully restored apparatus will be put on display in the museum, located on the ground floor of the Riverside EMS Building at the new Public Safety Campus.
Sneak Peek at the newly implemented Riverside Public Safety Campus!
A wet and foggy day at Riverside Headquarters.
The Riverside EMS Headquarters, houses a State of the Art Dispatch Communications Center. The Comms Center is capable of monitoring all of the necessary radio channels as well as grid-wide call and unit tracking. The Comms Center is also capable of receiving 911 as well as Non-Emergency calls, to assist ease flooded phone lines for the smaller municipalities REMS operates within.
The Riverside EMS headquarters received a landscape overhaul to the main entryway of the building. Thanks to the folks over at J&D Landscapers for doing an excellent job!
Riverside’s EMS Chief and Chief of Staff attended another demonstration meeting of the brand new Panther Type 2 Ambulance, currently being designed by HD/S2. Riverside EMS has been working closely with the engineers to come up with the best solution for Urban EMS. Delivery of the new units is projected to be mid to late August if all goes well with field tests. REMS are eagerly awaiting its arrival.
The Riverside EMS Staff had a fun and safe 4th of July! We hope everyone else did too!
The care and maintenance of the Riverside EMS Fleet is crucial to successful operations. The Fleet Services Division is the backbone of Vehicle Operations for the company. The crew is responsible for general maintenance and upkeep as well as graphics and lighting installations all the way down to electronics servicing for the radios, computers and cellular receivers in each vehicle. This crew is truly what keeps Riverside EMS running call to call!
Riverside’s EMS Chief, attended a demonstration meeting regarding the HD/S2 Panther Ambulance. REMS has ordered several of the new rigs and are patiently awaiting their arrival.
Routine beginning of shift vehicle inspection.
Riverside PD just released the dash cam footage of a “Dancing Girl”, found having fun in the parking lot behind EMS Headquarters. No charges were filed as a result.
Riverside EMS decided that the existing building wasn't suitable enough to handle the size of operations. So with some careful planning, the old one was torn down and a brand new Headquarters Building was put in its place. The new building has a sizable vehicle bay, plentiful office space, and equipment space, as well as roof access for the helipad! We look forward to moving into our wonderful new building!
