Kylux Calendar 2019: February

Hux sighs. The food’s perfectly cooked, and too cold by half. An Alderaanian red’s been uncorked, its delicate bouquet deteriorating by the hour.

It’s shockingly domestic. “You’re late” Hux says crossly as the pneumatic doors announce Ren’s arrival.

Kylo looks exhausted. “You waited for me,” he says softly.

“I lost my appetite.”

“I got here as fast I could. I made it from Naabos in under four hours.”

Hux frowns. “What’s in Naabos?”

Kylo pulls something from his pocket and unwraps it carefully. “Our future. Starkiller 2.0 has power, but lacks precision. The crystals on Naabos can withstand the energy and redirect it.” He grins. “I may have secured it.”

Suddenly, the dinner seems insignificant. “You got me a kriffing planet for Valentine’s Day…”

“You’ve given me so much more,” Kylo kisses Hux, smelling of space dust and ash. “Like this crystal, you balance me. We’re perfect together.”
