The Motanka is a traditional doll used as an amulet in Ukrainian culture, dating back thousands of years possibly to the Cucuteni–Trypillia culture. It represents the unity between ones family and ancestors - once also believed to be a vessel of the ancestors of the person who possessed it. It was also viewed as a tool that helped protect a person from the evil eye and curses, and that the person creating it could project powers into it based on what they were thinking at the time. The Motanka is created faceless with a cross covering its head, as Ukrainian folk belief claimed that etching a face onto it could drain a living spirit into it.
if bill clinton and tony blair received monuments in the us and the uk, let alone had children named after them, there would be mass disgust and protest, listing in detail their many crimes. but since this is being done in nato's puppet state of kosovo, where a terrorist organisation is venerated by the "state" and ethnic cleansing is socially acceptable when serbs are the target, then i guess it's fine 🥰
something so unreal about the current president of america getting to name a street after his dead son on another continent far away in a part of the balkans that had absolutely nothing to do with uncle sam, in a place whose ppl & lands he helped bombing & poisoning so severely it took very little time for the big guys coming in after everything was either dead, gone, or subservient to organ traffickers who killed even their own ppl in cellars of police bases, to built camp bondsteel "for peace & order" to get sick, which only even got a slice of micro media attention when about 600 or more italian nato soldiers suddenly became cancer patients and italy's government demanded an investigation. which tony blair faked so smoothly to "disprove" the "neglectful" effects of DU it's almost funny. it coming out his "research team" never even bothered going there didn't even cause a wave.
srsly wish though i never set my eyes on the cursed golden colored life size statue of bill in priština erected by the same nationalists now sitting in the hague for crimes against humanity, after he made them leaders of their very own monoethnic state, cuz every time i see that pic with the raised hand in my head i re-experience so much second hand embarassment it's almost like i built it myself.
it's amazing but the shame i feel over serbian nationalists' continued reverence for putin in his early years doing the bare minimum for "brotherhood" that consisted of being the one guy in global politics voting to not bomb yugoslavia actually pales when i think of kosovar nationalist's level of americanophilia and worship of the same people who poisoned their country for millions of years, fuelled the war, and were caught in several incidents of bombing albanian refugees just to put the blame on serbs, a single one alone of those that even became known killing 73 albanians like it was nothing.
and none of any of that changes anything, not even after independent journalists gave a more differentiated picture on "the balkan issue", or the president of kosovo being sent to the hague which only made a brief western headline (a casual display of not just journalistic autopilot integrity regarding anything balkans that's not about holiday in croatia, but representative of exactly how unattractive anything with the potential of changing pro war propaganda narratives is to current journalism) because the arrest untimingly coincided with joe inviting him to celebrate in the white house, or wikileaks releasing documents from the texas stratfor intelligence company, or HOW ALL 4 HEADS of this so called liberation army having been identified as personally involved in those tortures lmao, or even the 71st witness having testified against the kla recently, because the ethnic cleansing of kosmet's minorities is still going on under the eyes of bondsteel.
For over 700 years, the Japanese have been using a special method called Daisugi to grow trees without cutting them down. It started in the 14th century and involves planting trees for the future and then pruning them like large bonsai trees. By doing this to cedar trees, they can get high-quality wood that's straight, smooth, and perfect for building.
With Daisugi, instead of chopping down the trees, they carefully prune them so they can keep growing and producing wood. This way, they can sustainably use the wood while also making sure the trees stay healthy and continue to live for a long time. Daisugi shows how people and nature can work together, using resources wisely while protecting the environment.

german tourists will come up to you and say some shit like entschuldigung ist there a Nationallostundgefundenbüronummer i can call weil i have mein handytelefon gelosten :( and you have to look at them like they’re a dog that is about to be put down and go Herr wir sind in Südeuropa be so so ernst rn
so an albanian man shot at two boys (aged 11 and 21) in kosovo today, on orthodox christmas fucking eve, as they were carrying a badnjak (dried tree branch) on the street
as in an albanian nationalist bigot shot at a fucking child on christmas eve and hit the child with a bullet and the bullet wound is actually mortifying
update: the locals and the police actually spotted the vehicle from which the albanian shot the two boys and they LET HIM LEAVE EVEN THOUGH HE SHOT TWO BOYS
update 2: an 18 year old serbian boy was beaten up by albanians in klokot in the second hate crime in a row. disgusting
just a quick update: the local police arrested the disgusting man. however, if you go to twitter and check statements made by the albanian wannabe mr bean and the german "ambassador" to kosovo, they never once brought up the fact that the attack was ethnically motivated
in fact, k*rti went as far as to call the young boys kosovo citizens, knowing damn well no serb in kosovo has that "citizenship", while the "ambassador" praised the police for their "quick action". ironic, since they let the fucker off the hook the night before and it took them more than a day to arrest him
i don't believe these people for a second, and the fact that there's not enough attention called to the fact that a serbian 11 y.o. (and a 21 y.o.) has been shot by a bigoted albanian on a national and religious holiday just because the kid is serbian, and ALL the attention is called to the quote-on-quote fast responsiveness, goes to show that the western world still chooses to stay silent in the face of the violent ethnic cleansing happening in kosovo against the serbian minority there
the serbs of kosovo are not protected by the local police, they are not protected by the international troops stationed there, and our people physically cannot help them because 90% of the time we can't even be let into kosovo - not even to deliver humanitarian help. the fact that this was topped off by kfor denying serbia's request to send armed forces - you know, the ones who would obviously stick up for the locals but still couldn't do shit because americans turned kosovo into their glorified military base of the balkans - right on christmas, too, speaks volumes
it's absolutely disgusting what we are seeing, as the western world is actively helping albanians ethnically cleanse kosovo of us, like serbs have not lived there for centuries and centuries. i hope they all get what they deserve some day
help stop ethnic cleansing in Kosovo by buying the serbian minority women’s handcrafts from Women’s Wool Collective
(the above link leads directly to the products, the below link is the explanation by Draganac monastery which started this project)
“The Women’s Wool Collective, Draganac Monastery has begun a project to help local women in isolated villages support their families, who often live on only about $100 per month, to become more financially independent, while utilizing their creativity and skills.
This is part of a larger project of the Diocese of Raška-Prizren to help support local families, to help them to stay in their ancestral homes, and to provide them with work. This project in particular focuses on the fact that the woman is the heart of the family, and that as such, it is by helping the women to find work and to use their skills that we can have a large impact on Kosovo families. Kosovo Serbian women are famous for their wool products and needlework, thus, we find women who are in need in isolated villages, and offer them the chance to improve their families’ lives.
We take the wool from Dečani Monastery sheep, our Monastery pays for it to be made into yarn, and then we give the yarn for free to the women to do their creative work. Here you can buy the fruits of their labors. Many of the products are unique and one-of-a-kind, and special orders are always possible. While the project began and is focused on Monastery-produced wool, we have some other cotton products available as well, but everything is hand-made with love by the women of Kosovo. Our designs aim to be a combination of traditional Serbian patterns with an eye for modern tastes. Our wool products are made exclusively from the sheep from Dečani Monastery in Kosovo and are either the natural, white wool color of the sheep, or are dyed with traditional vegetable-based dyes as Serbian women have done for centuries. All profits from the sales of these items go directly to the women; your purchase has a very real impact on the lives of financially struggling families in Kosovo.”
some explanation (im not listing all the sources here as i already posted them on my blog but several human rights and minority rights organizations have reported on it) Serbs in Kosovo are forced to live in ethnic enclaves away from the cities, they are kept from participation in public life and their only language university is not recognized by the government, they are kept from public employment or obtaining professional licenses, they are threatened to leave their homes, chased away, and regularly subjected to violent hate crimes (some of the most recent attacks were a 12 year old child beaten so badly he had to be brought in a wheelchair to the hospital and an old grandmother being brutally killed by kosovo police).
also, kosovo police raided hospitals in serbian enclaves and stole vital medications during this corona pandemic. when the republic of serbia sent corona vaccines to kosovo serbs, the kosovo government tried to seize them and claimed the fact they were sent was an act of terrorism and ‘provocation’.
i clicked on the original link and found this statement
and when you click on the direct purchasing site there are a lot of things that even though are (or probably esp because they were) on sale out of stock right now.
i thank you all so much for rb this and send blessings to everyone who bothered to purchase something!
i am actually sick to my stomach how much the situation for serbs has deteriorated so much more in recent months and kosovo police are seizing even the last sources of the little income that serbian families had left, even defiling serb children’s playgrounds with graffiti for the organization that harvested their families organs.
idk how much she has secured and left over but do not hesitate to reach out to diaspora serb jelena if you see smth you like!
i rly hope the project goes on and god bless you all who care 🙏🖤
Reacting to the tragic death of Mahsa, iranians are protesting against the regime for 44 years of terror and cruelty. Woman are burning their hijabs which they were forced to wear for whole 4 decades. Islamic Republic is oppressing ppl by shooting and hitting them (including a random 10 y/o girl). The Internet connection keeps glitching and we don't know how long we have access to it (they do it so we can't send the videos of them killing ppl in streets to the world).
What do we want? Overthrowing Islamic Republic.
Im posting this so you'll know if i dissappear, the country is in Internet blackout. Then i hope you ppl keep telling our story to the world so we all can help and finish the felonies of Islamic Republic ❤
