Hear me out!!
I was looking through all of Silver's voice lines and I noticed that almost every time Yuu interacts with Silver, there has to be a mention of him looking good, fixing up his clothes, etc. implying (to me at least) that Yuu actively seeks out conversation with him in some way?
I could make a whole fic about them just using Silver's lines from his cards and events and the main storyline I kid you not 😭
For instance, I don't have these cards but:
In his Dorm Uniform card, he says: "Hm? My hat's crooked? Thanks for straightening it out."
In his Birthday Jacket card, it's: "What's the centerpiece of my look today? I haven't thought about it, but I guess it'd be my white sneakers. They're easy to move in too."
Halloween card: "Ah, you straightened my hat. The horns look wrong if they're even slightly askew, so thank you."
Platinum Jacket: "What a dazzling outfit. I suppose when I wear it I must be ALL silver... It looks good, you think? I'm glad."
And then we get these gems, which show Silver slowly but surely opening up to Yuu:
Birthday Bloom: "Ah, it's you. Perfect timing. Why don't we head to the balcony so I can introduce you to the birds?"
Platinum Jacket: "Oh dear, I'm getting sleepy... You'll let me sleep on your shoulder? No need; if you could just...shake me...awake... *snore*"
And then!! You can also see Silver sometimes actively seeking them out in situations! cause we went from him thinking Yuu is odd:

and just being so??? idek the word? vulnerable? soft? In his masquerade groovy line, he just drags Yuu to the dance floor 🥹
In the main story line, he says this:

Plus!! In his Dawn Armor card, he's so frickin' sweet! I thought Kalim was the underrated one but noooo we literally have a prince charming in the cast how have I been so blind all this time 😭
Yeah I would assume you'd feel closer to Yuu, you literally had them in a chokehold while travelling through dreams 😂
This scene below made me meltwhen I first read it, it's one of my favorites. I know Silver is just expressing thanks and sharing a moment of vulnerability, but also add on to the fact that this is a boy who is so cool, calm, and collected, that even he couldn't admit to his own father that he didn't want him to leave school.
I'd be asking Lilia for his son's hand in marriage after the whole Book 7 fiasco just because of this line 😭
Delulu aside & I know this isn't an otome game but I lowkey feel that out of all the cast members, (Malleus "The Child Of Man Is Mine" Draconia included), Silver is the one that I can see Yuu crushing on. Hard.
Am I supposed to believe that this isnt an invitation for a date?? Not to mention the many times he has invited Yuu to work out lol is that his way of getting to know Yuu 😂

Unpopular Opinion: Ruggie doesn’t need Leona–Leona needs Ruggie.
I saw someone saying the reason Ruggie’s “revenge” against Leona after Book 2 was so mild was because of Ruggie’s self-preservation instincts keeping him from doing anything truly bad to Leona so he wouldn’t lose that asset.
Sure, I guess that could be assumed. But as the saying goes, “lions throw their cubs off cliffs,” and Leona had already gotten yeeted and Ruggie knew he didn’t need that again. But what Leona does need, 24/7, is a good influence on him who wakes him up for classes, drags him to events, treats him like a normal person instead of a prince or a threat, and gives him a look into the life of a lower-class. Ruggie does not act this way towards Leona because of any beastly instinct that makes him submit to a more powerful lion, and people boiling his character down to that natural instinct reeeally grinds my gears. Y’all are forgetting the “man” part in “beastman.” We know that all people in Twisted Wonderland–beastmen, mers, fae, and regular-looking people alike are ALL considered human. So that’s what I’m addressing first is unnecessarily magnifying a character to their race and insisting all actions stem from that.
The reason Ruggie acts so beneficially to Leona is not because he’s afraid of him, needs him financially (THAT much), or any other reason–it’s because he’s the second prince of the Sunset Savanna. The identity Leona so despises is a lifeline to Ruggie’s community–the poor people living in the slums. The second prince has just enough influence and wealth and control to potentially better their living conditions, yet not enough status and royal lifestyle to be too busy or detached from seeing what it’s like in the lower levels of his society. Mufasa was the one isolating the hyenas, and Scar was living among them–not because he necessarily had to, but because of his outcasted identity. That exposure to hyena society for both Scar and Leona led to mutually beneficial cooperation. Ruggie and the hyenas not only wanted a steady food supply but a place in the kingdom they lived–an equal status with no more oppression.
So someone saying that Ruggie needs Leona isn’t entirely accurate to me, because Ruggie is one of the most talented, experienced, and community-focused people in NRC. “Now,” you might say, “why in the HECK are you saying RUGGIE of all people is community-focused? He’s selfish and steals from people!”
…We ARE talking about the same Ruggie that brought home suitcases full of food for the neighborhood kids, right? The same Ruggie who turned collecting candy and potatoes with those kids into a game to distract them from the fact they were starving? The same Ruggie that showed a picture of his house to Leona in hopes he’d feel a draw to help his community?
Keep in mind that the hyenas–and Ruggie–were cooperating with Scar/Leona to improve their place in the world as a whole. The lion was the selfish one, doing it for his own status and pride, forgetting that the beasts’ meaning of that word is a community.
Ruggie had rationalized his cooperation with Leona in Book 2 with the fact that once Malleus was defeated, “maybe some top recruiters will even take an interest” in him. With the fact that it would give not only him an opportunity for advancement in society, but the other members of his dorm, as well. And Leona was doing it for himself, and ditched Ruggie and his dorm when his plan failed.
Besides, Ruggie is extremely talented and may find it easier and quicker to one day use Leona’s connections to get himself a good job, but all that would do is introduce his already-existing talent to someone who may not have noticed it otherwise. Ruggie may not be able to get a job that pays enough to start to help his whole community from his finances alone, but the odd jobs and favors he does already is enough for him to get by on. The reason he goes scrounging around under vending machines and in dandelion fields is because he isn’t keeping all that money. Some of it goes back to his hometown. If Ruggie was focused completely on himself, he’d be doing just fine in life on his own talents and expertise–but it's his attachment to his community that causes him to work ten times harder, and maintain a relationship with the one person he thinks could truly help his home–Leona.
And not only does he maintain that relationship, but he’s trying to help Leona grow like the big-brother type he is. I personally think the reason Ruggie’s “revenge” was so mild was because he was trying to show Leona how good being in a community–a real one–can be. To be accepted again after mistakes and failures…instead of being nearly killed and turned to sand as a result of failing. Ruggie knows a community that will benefit each individual within it isn’t only built on cooperation but the grace to overlook shortcomings in favor of the growth and strengthening that will come after. And admittedly, yes, strong communities mean better benefits. :3
Which is why I add the other part of my statement that Ruggie doesn’t need Leona–that Leona needs Ruggie. If Leona’s circle of influences on him was restricted to Falena and Kifaji, and he didn’t have Ruggie, his bitterness never would have begun to heal. If he’d been held only to the standards of a second prince, and he continued to be allowed to neglect that, nothing good would come of it for him, not even in his dreams (definitely not a reference to what we saw in Book 7 lol). He could strive after Malleus and the crown and victory all he wanted, but only his outside circumstances might change, not the inside. If he didn’t have Ruggie, he’d actually be a villain.
Let us and Ruggie all hope the day Leona shapes up completely and starts working to improve his kingdom comes quickly. 🙂

One of the reasons fans say lilia isnt a father to malleus is that he didnt raise him...but he did?? Within the limits he had. Sang him to sleep, fed and cooked for him, dressed him, bought him gifts, told him stories, taught him lessons, etc all of this is in the story and in cards and events.
No he didnt raise him day and night like he did with silver because of the senate. But he was supposed to. But he did what he can. How could that be any less than what he did with silver.
He did everything he could for malleus he did with silver. He couldn't see malleus day and night or keep him at his home.
Let's not forget he hatched him with true love. It wasn't only silver who woke to true love but malleus too. Malleus who loved and waited for him and only him.

Malleus would be exactly where silver is right now if lilia was allowed like intended. Did you all forget??
Malleus never forsaken that or jealous of silver and yet I see fan fight about this.
Malleus and silver love each other but yet fans try to kick one out of the equation. Are you really a fan of them then? They never would want this.
This all of this plus if you don't count this you can't miss the subtext of the family dynamic of Lilia being a father figure to both Malleus and Silver because it's literally in many of their interactions. If you pay close attention Lilia definitely has a parental affection towards Malleus just as he does with Silver. From calling him a precious little thing, like a parent would to recalling memories he holds dear to him from Malleus's youth to him being involved enough in Malleus's life to know him better than most. So much so that Lilia knows exactly where Malleus goes to disappear from the world. As shown in book six, knowing that type of information is the kind of thing a parent who knows their children would have.
Plus there's the picked up habits Malleus developed from being around Lilia. To his mischievous laugh, to hand gestures down to the very smirk he'll sometimes get. Plus the random act of appearing out of thin air and scaring the hell out of people. Malleus picked up these habits from the very guy he looks too. That's exactly what children do with parental figures they look up too. And of course the bond between Malleus and Silver is very brotherly when you look at the smaller details. Both of them have a similar wish that they share and it's for their loved ones to be happy. That includes each other. They can't stand the thought of the other being upset to a point of despair. That's a thing that's common among siblings who become close or grew up together.
There's very clearly a family dynamic between Lilia, Silver and Malleus that's established. A very clear parental respect and affection for Lilia and a very clear love and fatherly pride for Malleus and Silver. It's written in the miniscule details and interactions between them. It's in the way where Malleus and Silver are protective of Lilia, and in the way Lilia has unwavering faith and pride towards the boys. Family isn't just about being in a home, it's about the feelings and the bonds you forge. Lilia may not have spent as much time with Malleus as he did with Silver, but that doesn't mean that Malleus isn't his son through and through. The bond that was made between the two of them and the affection that's shared is what makes them family. Silver and Malleus are Lilia's sons, it's there in the very interactions between the trio. You just have to see the finer details to catch the full picture.
