Oh I've never thought directly about this, so I will now hmmm...

I think Soap would be pretty estranged from his parents, if he has them (what parent in the world would be chill about their child joining up at 16-18) so I imagined him being raised by an older sister, bc he gives off that vibe... and then maybe he's the middle one (like he is in 141) with another younger sister, bc he also has THAT vibe... I think they'd understand re: his dangerous life, as siblings often do, and be the reason why he is very himself.
