We dropped Kargath this time. We recruited a awesome Resto Druid and Ret Paladin. We also got butcher down below 50% on first pull. Faith is slowly being restored.

Oh my god Norushen is an asshole. We wiped to enrage at 15%...then 3%...then 2%...then our raid leader had to bail. If that asshole can wipe us all with an enrage, he can finish off the amalgamation and give us our loots.

Turns out this fight can be a bitch when your OT is incapable of tanking adds and responds for your call to taunt off MT with, "Hey, I'm gonna hop in this glowy gold ball here." With a different tank we were getting down to 3% health before enrage. Tonight, we only hit enrage once at 40%. On top of that, a d-bag warlock that I for some reason gave a ginvite followed up our second wipe with, we should have more people in here, we were in a full 10 man, and "You plan on 20 man, haha." Why would you follow up stupid comments with rude comments? We also found out this person switched into a full grievous set after a wipe. Not a good night for morale. Now I need to figure out if it's my responsibility as MT to talk to OT or if a raid leader with tank experience should speak to him.

While everyone talks about how Siege of Orgrimmar is ancient content and asks about when the new expansion is going to drop, I can be content. My guild finally finished off Lei Shen last night so we can start "current" content. I'm pretty excited that we've gone from struggling with Stone Guardians to completing all that Pandaria has to offer minus SoO. Clueless raiders have become at the very least, competent raiders. It feels a bit silly to be proud of a virtual achievement like this, but I'm proud of what we managed and where we're going. We won't have any realm firsts, but we won't be behind anymore.

Lei Shen

I have a decent group of guys I run with, but we are terrible at moving quickly. We killed Qon tonight, but not without brez during the tornados and we suck at spreading during transition phase during Lei Shen. On the bright side, killing Qon and Consorts was a good morale boost for us coming back from a break and good introduction for some of our new recruits. I'm looking forward to putting us through regular Flex groups instead of old content...cuz Flex is still technically "current."

I can’t believe how good I look in the beta :O

I just wish I could play it more. There have been a lot of DC issues lately. Everything in the beta seems pretty much flawless from a gameplay perspective, but everything server side seems to be struggling. I haven’t managed to play more than 30 min at a time without a crash :(

First Try

It has kind of been a running joke for my guild that we do things right the first time. We had some struggles getting Garalon down so the other tank decided that he would boost morale by screaming into Raidcall that we finally dropped him on the first try. That never really stopped after that. Last night, we started in on ToT together since we finished up T14. We started 45 minutes late because a whole bunch of our regular group couldn't make our regular start time. We only ended up even going because I threw a longshot text out to a guildie that hadn't played in a month. Surprisingly, he got on and I scrambled for a few pugs. We got the group into the instance and immediately one of our healers (pug) leaves. I ask why and he says he's running in place in the instance. I /who him and it turns out that he just decided that he'd rather accept a scenario queue. We decided we were better off without him and decided to move on. We took Jin'rokh down on our first try. We had three overgeared SoO people, but most were the appropriate ilvls here. One healer was even only at 500. Then we went to Horridon and we dropped him too. That was our first try as well. What was unfortunate was that nobody could get across those bridges except me without falling off. We had at least 15 deaths from bridges and bridge-related activities and only four deaths from bosses. Also funny was that the tank who usually says something about first try didn't even notice what we'd done until somebody pointed it out. Needless to say, I'm proud to see how our group of LFR heroes are progressing together :)

Why is LFR struggling with Protectors so much all of a sudden?

I thought LFR couldn’t get any worse. And then they introduced boosted 90s

I don’t get why people say this. It is not like the game actually teaches anyone anything in the traditional leveling way.

It gives you a more gradual introduction to your class though. With the boosted people I see a lot pick a few abilities and spam them instead of looking for a real rotation.

The issue isn't so much with boosted 90s as it is people with no initiative to learn their class or rotation. If folks would check out icy-veins or box if or even ask for help, left would be much more pleasant for everyone, boosted or otherwise.
