Hi JTS fans! Believe it or not, things are actually happening with this project again! And the reason why is pretty unbelievable, but I promise that somehow it's true...
After receiving the opportunity by pure luck/chance, for the last several weeks, Edward Kay, the co-creator of Jimmy Two-Shoes, has been personally mentoring me and trying to help me get my creative writing/animation/filmmaking career off the ground. During one of our sessions I asked if he was interested in taking a look at my JTS movie script (what of it is currently written, anyway; I'm also in the process of rewriting it). He was, read the first 20 pages, and absolutely loved it. He said if JTS was still in production I'd be hired to work on it in a heartbeat, especially since he was also very impressed with Maggie and Belphy's character designs and how well they fit into the style and art direction Sean Scott established. After being a JTS fan for 16 years, I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
Additionally, Edward plans to talk with Ira Levy, one of the original producers of JTS (you might've spotted his name in the credits!), at the upcoming Annecy Animation Festival about potentially reviving the series in some way. This does NOT mean this project is going to become an actual JTS movie, but given these circumstances there is shockingly a non-zero chance of that happening, which is crazy and something I'm still struggling to believe myself. This also is NOT me leaking the information that a JTS revival is happening or in the works, because it isn't; Edward and Ira are simply interested, so it's something that COULD happen, but there's no guarantee whatsoever. Regardless, what this DOES mean is there is actual potential for more JTS in the future, which is incredibly exciting and something I thought fans would want to know!
Anyway, as mentioned, right now I'm (re)writing the screenplay along with completely redoing the outline. This means I've removed access to the old outline because it's going to be replaced with the new one as soon as I finish it. It's almost done, so it shouldn't take too long, but I am busy with a lot of other stuff especially this month (June) so apologies if it isn't ready until July at the earliest.
Finally, I've unfortunately had to turn off Anonymous asks due to one specific person who keeps sending creepy/inappropriate questions. And I know they're creepy/inappropriate - you're not slick, Anon. I gave you the benefit of the doubt initially, but because you keep asking about this one thing that I've already given an answer regarding, you've made your intentions crystal clear. Stop it. It's gross.
