"monastic cells" - miniature models made by nuns, where they depicted themselves as little dolls praying in their monastic rooms. they can be found in museums in france, belgium, and switzerland. crosses, images, and quotes from the bible, as well as everyday items are meticulously crafted.

One of my first oil paintings, finished for class just a couple weeks ago! I’m very proud of it, especially considering it’s a first.

The past few months I’ve been really into Revoultionary Girl Utena a lot again. The scene where Utena opens the rose gate and reaches for Anthy in the final episode is one of my favorites, naturally I had to paint it.
