due to travel ban last month, many flight has cancelled been due to threat of the corona virus same with the other countries. we just learned today, that my auntie and my grandma from states. bought a one way ticket to spend their vacation here in the Philippines. this is actually their surprise to us but because of the unexpected event happened, it was just cancelled. i can’t remember when was the last time they spent their vacation here in the Philippines because I was too young that time. still we are happy that they are safe. Maybe this is not the right time but soon.

Today, Our president decide to extended the Enhance Community Quarantine until May 15. I heard our local community leader said earlier,that the relief goods they have which came from city hall, was enough for our community. Now that have the ECQ has been extended for the third time, this would be tough to all of us. but some others place are allowed to go back to normal since they are less affected to the amid corona virus specifically provinces.

today, my neighbors talk about what would be the decision of our president by tomorrow about the Enhance Community Quarantine if he’s going to lift it or not. last time he extended the ECQ until April 30 to ensure the public safety, and he’s hoping that would be the last time he’s going to extend it. but the things are, though we have a number of recoveries of covid 19, as of today  covid 19 cases  reach 6,710. just like the other people, I’m waiting and praying that our president will decide what’s best for us.

my mom tried to buy some food today, unexpectedly, one of the soldiers think she doesn’t have the quarantine pass. she was hold for a couple of minutes and my mom hand out her quarantine pass. the soldier said, she has to wear it as an id so that they can see it easily, and they also explained they tighten the security here in our community. so, we will be expecting this kind of inspection for the next couple of days.

many local and international artist do the live streaming these days. one of the reasons is to cheer up their fans and to spread some good vibes despite  what happening right now. aside from this, they also do some fundraising, and they donate it to their own chosen charity. Last Sunday, the Phantom of the Opera was available to stream for free for 48 hours they do it for a cause. the money collected will donate to hospitals. this kind of effort are so much appreciated specially these days.

As we are fighting to this Covid-19, news is very essential to us right now. but as the day passes by, not only the virus just spread also fake news in social media.  because of this fake news, many lives might at risk due to social media is one of the mediums that people depend on nowadays. today, our local artists join the campaign to spread only facts about corona virus in this historical event. Meanwhile, Our Government warned the public to stop joking and disseminating Disinformation they might end up go to jail. By checking the source if it’s reliable, we can help our society to lessen their fears.

Our dearest president address the nation last night, and he said if the number of covid 19 cases still getting high he still consider to implement the total lock down due to more Filipinos disobey the stay at home protocol. Many filipinos agree with this, because of our public safety. but some of them not in favor specially lower and middle class. Even me, I disagree. As of now, we don’t have much resources to store some foods and personal needs because the company of my sister stop them from work from scheme.still, the total lock down still an option. I hope they should study first before they implement it.

As we are in the midst of a historical period in our lifetime with this pandemic, we have to make sure that we are safe to this amid corona virus. I red some articles about being united while staying apart and actually we are doing it now. In my experience,we did online classes last month. it’s actually a good idea to catch up our lessons also my sister and father is on work from home scheme to avoid catching corona virus. eventually as I observe, some Television News Program are doing the WFH. Every presidents has only one thing to say right now. it is to stay at home. By staying at home and social distancing, it may help our front liners to lessen their burden at the same time for own sake.

today there is another improvement and we celebrate it. the numbers of recoveries today, twice as the number of recoveries of covid19 than yesterday. Our Department of Health encourages those covid19 survivors to donate their blood plasma for the covid 19 patients. for the past few days, the news is all about the deaths and numbers infected by the virus and it creates fear for everyone. but today, the numbers of recoveries give hope to people that we can surpass this by having a huge number of recoveries day by day. step by step. so we can go back to our normal situation.  still, the Government encourages people to stay at home to avoid getting infected.

okay, this is a good news for everyone! So today, we have a highest recoveries in one day in covid-19 and it gives us hope that we can fight against it. i’m really happy because those people are now covid free and  I can’t imagine what they’ve been through.  But they can now go to their love ones and create a lot of memories. this is the news that I’ve been waiting for. even though we have a highest recoveries today, the number of the covid 19 cases is getting higher day by day. But I know we can do this. we can fight this. and I’m looking forward for this kind of news again.

when ECQ lifted, We have curfew hour. which is from 5AM to 8PM.  but today, our community change it.  they change it because there is One  Person Under Investigation in our community. it means possible he/she had the corona virus. the new schedule is from 4pm to 7pm and there is a propose day, which is every Tuesday is the only day that we are allowed to buy our basic needs also to continue to practice the social distancing. community leaders here are very strict. and we are glad and scared at the same time. glad because our community leaders made some proper action on this matter and scared because we don’t want get infected. we all know that there is no cure for now to this covid 19. .

it’s been a while since I talk to my professors. I thought Enhance Community Quarantine will be lifted this coming April 12, but due to high  volume of affected by this virus, it was extend until April 30. Our Classes still suspended up to now. thankfully, we have this kind of student Government who’s trying their best to reach us and to know if we have other concerns and they’ll endorse to the upper heads. other school decide to end their school semester last week. Hoping what ever the result of these survey they will listen to us.

Today is good Friday still there being no changes in our environment I know that the government is trying their best to fight the virus. There is still a lot of covid cases in the Philippines that’s why we are still in enhance quarantine lockdown. Today I just discovered that there is a person under monitoring in our barangay that’s why the people patrolling in our barangay change the time of our curfew to prevent the virus to spread. People from their home are watching religion related content in their tv to celebrate holy week. There are scales or statistics that the government release to tell the people that they are fighting the virus and they are still trying to make the percentage of covid cases in the Philippines low or even positive from the previous percentage. I hope that the front liner’s around the globe find the cure to this virus.

Today is Holy Thursday.  Television Programs still airing these kinds of movies. such as The Bible, Ten Commandments, Noah’s arch, Jesus is Life and etc. and it really makes my heart happy because of every holy week different channel always air religious related content. But our holy week is different now because due to corona virus and enhance quarantine lockdown the traditional celebration of holy week is cancelled. People can’t go to church and they can’t do the traditional things they do outside like ‘’ visita iglesia’’ people believes that if you complete the visita iglesia your wish will come true and the other one is prusisyon or procession which means a march for purpose of display. But the faith of Filipinos can’t be stop by a lockdown or a virus they always find ways to celebrate holy week without taking the risk of getting the virus and this are the things that makes me happy.

Tonight, we’ve witnessed the biggest pink moon  of 2020. And it’s beautiful. People took photos of it, and spread it through online.I also took some photos as a remembrance since it happened once in a lifetime. They say “ Moon can’t shine without darkness” just like our scenario today, we are in the middle of the dark, but still we are shining as we fight this amid corona virus.

While we are at home, there are people who’s trying to protect us to this corona virus, and that is our Front liners. For almost 1 month as I observe, these front liners they do their best even though their lives is at risk. People consider them as a New Heroes today because their job is not that easy; their duty are to protect us and serve our country in this serious situation. What really sadden me, despite they are doing their job, they still encounter some discrimination and it should be stopped. Our local government is doing some action to stop this kind of acts. .

Today, people talk about what would be the decision of our president about the Enhance Community Quarantine.Some Netizens are in favor of the extension of ECQ. According to these people, they worry about their health, especially to those elders whose very vulnerable at this moment. But some people do not agree with the extension. For them, it’s too much and they ran out of cash. They need to go back to work so they can provide their family needs. As of now, our president still studying if he will go to extend it or end it.
