Nightmare Time Spoilers!

Alright, i just noticed something in the Nightmare Time theme song and i need to write it down somewhere. 

here are the lyrics and the people who sing them:

“You can run but, are you fast enough?” - Angela and Robert

“You can hide, but I will find you” - Jaime and Curt (not sure if it’s Curt)

“Close your eyes if you don’t dose off” - Lauren and Jon (i’m not sure if it’s Jon, could be Joey)

“Hold your breath so I don’t hear you” - Kim and Dylan

“The trail of tears that you will leave me” - Mariah and Corey

“Will lead me straight to those that fear me” - Jeff and James

and i think it’s a really interesting choice of pairings singing these lyrics, considering that five of them may be of characters that already have history of some kind in the Hatchetfield universe. So, basically i’m wondering if this are just random or are a hint of the characters that will appear in the stories…i mean, we already got one about Alice and Bill sooo…maaayybeee? Also, I just realized that Jon was dressed as Paul, so he definitely was in character and would make sense that was actually him singing that line with Lauren. 

Anyway, i don’t know what’s the point of this or if actually makes sense, but still the idea that McNamara and Xander Lee could make an appearance in one of the stories (and i bet it’s gonna be “Time Bastard”) makes me happy.

okay i think it’s time to reblog this genius theory again since we got paulkins

we already had angela & robert (lucy & hidgens) and mariah & corey (alice & bill), and we’re gonna have lauren & jon (emma & paul) so i’d say this theory is pretty much confirmed

i think the stories will go like this

angela and robert - ape man

mariah and corey - watcher world

lauren and jon - forever and always

jeff and james (probs mcnamara and xander as op said) - time bastard

kim and dylan (either barneston or maybe they’re gonna have kim play jane idk that’d be funny) - jane’s a car

then this leaves jaime and curt to the witch in the web. i still think it’s about webby so maybe howie goes to visit webby who’s played by jaime or there’ll be brand new characters.

the last thing i have to say is that maybe the lines are related to the stories as well. bc angela and robert’s line is  “you can run but, are you fast enough?” and, well, there were a lot of chase in ape man

i don’t know how to apply the other lines to watcher world and/or other stories, but that’s up to smart people i guess. i’ll go now

I too was thinking that there might be a connection between the lines sung and the stories, and the Mariah and Corey one could be a reference to how both Bill and Alice live their father and daughter relationship, that is not completely healthy. Like, that could be how they perceive each other.

Anyway, since till this point this is kind of working, I really wonder how these lines could apply to the remaining characters. Like “close you eyes if you don’t doze off” could be related to Emma’s dark secret? And “will lead me straight to those that fear me”? What of who would fear General McNamara or in general P.E.I.P?
