My name is Petrichor, but you can call me Petri! I am a hobbyist writer in my early thirties, with over twenty years of reading, writing, and roleplay experience. I specialize in multi-paragraph prose, with most replies being between two and six paragraphs, depending on what I am receiving from my writing partner(s). You will never want for descriptions of places, people, or things, and through my writing you will learn enough about my characters to be able to craft your own, well-written replies. You will never struggle for content when writing with me! In addition, I greatly enjoy plotting, chatting, and just in general holding friendships with my writing partners.
You may be wondering a few things. So let me address the basics!
Why not write on Tumblr?
I have found Tumblr to be generally hostile to people who are just here to have fun and to write. Many others who don't understand that fiction does NOT equate reality, and still more who cannot conceive the idea that writers are not their characters. I have received death threats. I have been ousted from fandoms because people have spread lies. No matter how many times I try to leave and come back with the hopes of it being better, it just seems that fandoms get worse and worse with time. I'm very much over fandom culture, and seek now to find people who just want to engage in a hobby together.
What are you looking for?
Currently I am seeking folks who are interested in roleplaying ORIGINAL CHARACTERS in the following universes:
Avatar ( James Cameron), D&D/Baldur's Gate 3, Lord of the Rings/House of the Dragon/General High Fantasy, and Science Fiction. I am open to creating characters for your desired universes as well, though you may need to teach me a little bit about it!
What WON'T you write?
That's a pretty short list. In general I am open to writing darker, or taboo subjects; and I am open to experimenting with topics I haven't written before. That being said, under no circumstances will I write: NSFW material with or about minors, anything involving graphic murder, sexual assault, or cannibalism, NSFW material involving animals, or frankly anything that is illegal, too disturbing, racist, transphobic, homophobic, and so on.
Just to be clear, I prefer to write with people around my age, and I will NOT write with you if you are a minor. If you do not have your age in your bio or have it visible on your blog, I will not respond to your messages. I am an adult, looking for other adult roleplay partners. Please respect that.
