you ever read a fic so good you just gotta sit there and contemplate your entire existence and everything you’ve ever read before?
thEnd, the great impersonator and charades seem to be the holy trinity of this album, imo, they are the essential threads that hold together everything about it, the truth, the parts she tells us and the ones she doesn't, def find these to be the most important songs of this era and album, you may find a bias here, but oh they are the greatest songs that actually whisper everything you need to know, in a way, the start, middle and ending, now that deluxe is out, I see how the road started with thEnd, and tgi comes at the mid stage where the album feels almost as hopeless for lack of a more apt word, it's magic in its own way, tgi speaks of larger than life lyrics, charades is so king of the bonus tracks, it speaks more so to fans and asks the hardest question, it's a bittersweet song until the album ends, and you find yourself in the sweeter timeline, ashley finally home.

god in heaven, why can't you hear us, you must be deaf
wonder how much more mad people would get if I just ran away for myself
and yet there's no where to run to
accidentally said "invasive thoughts" instead of "intrusive thoughts" today and actually I think I'm onto something. this thought does not belong here and it is harming the local ecosystem
this song is from the water tribe, this song is a rain song, this song is se7enteenblack in every timeline, this song is so so insanely blue, and I hope that of all the stories and words to make it to their next poetry collection(if that), this one is def there!
Vladimir Nabokov, accounting for his notoriously poor verbal habits once said,
At parties, if I attempt to entertain people with a good story, I have to go back to every other sentence for oral erasures and inserts. Even the dream I describe to my wife across the breakfast table is only a first draft. I think like a genius, I write like a distinguished author, and I speak like a child.

everyday especially nights feel like a monday eve
every monday eve feels like I'll wake up late for a job I don't have
every monday eve feels like I'll be late to classes I don't attend
every monday eve feels like I'm late to a life I haven't begun
every monday eve feels like I'm late for a flight that will never take off
or fall into the hill
burning
like a car crash
I'm always late for nothing at all, I'm always too early with no life ahead
if I slow down I may never get up, if I just could lay my head and die, just for a short while
so that another monday eve can never arrive
I think we exist in a smooth purgatory, it's bad out here and it's bad in there
it's always bad some how everywhere
and I think the most evil layer of hell is one of your own making
