We programmed a counter/dodge mechanic, still need to make adjustments to them. Flare is able to dodge/reflect projectiles but if you press the dodge at the right time when an enemy attacks, she will counter.
I would like to announce the “official” name of our game, “Flarferno”. This isn’t the final logo and it will go through many changes before I come up with something I like :)
Made some more adjustments to the idle animation I posted this morning. This looks good for now, but I’ll come back to it to polish it up later :)

Here is something I worked on yesterday. Just a test to see what I have applied with my painting for the past couple of days, I do not plan on finishing it.
I am getting close to what I am looking for, but I still need to work on some areas(leaves on trees,color,etc)
Inked/Colored this yesterday. I wanted to mess with the color and see if I can achieve a more limited palette for Flare. Suggestions are welcome :)
I think this is a glitch in the build(this was never intended), but I think I can make a move out of it :)
More Gameplay Footage. We added some shield enemies, but they are not fully programmed. All I can is that you cant attack them from the front, you will have to find another way to disarm them
Inked/Colored Dancicia from last weeks sketch. I still need to work on her design(especially her wings,shoes, earrings).
Added some inbetweens for the idle. This one has 8 drawings(16 on 2’s). I do have one which there are 10 drawings, but that one doesn’t look right.
Flare will have more frames to her idle animation then the enemies and other characters in the game, so I need to make sure her idle looks right before I start to ink.

Replaced all of the Splatterhouse enemies from previous builds with my own placeholder enemies. Flare is able to counter and reflect projectiles, if the attack button is pressed at the right moment.
She a very important character in Project Flare(TBA name). She controls all fire/sunlight through the power of dancing.
WIP on the new idle animation. This one has more frames then the old one i animated months ago. Suggestions are welcome and I hope to finish this tomorrow night 😀
Added a third punch to the basic animation. There is a lot of changes we made to her moveset, so expect to see those in the upcoming weeks :)
