Justin posted the 1956 house he and his wife bought in Jasper, Indiana. It is a complete time capsule. Absolutely NOTHING has been updated or touched.  

Everything is still here- look at the appliances. All original. This is not like the classy expensive updated mid century homes we’ve seen before. 

The furniture has to be the original pieces and sets the previous owners bought. 

The wall hangings are aged.

This is an interesting piece, this bar. 

Look at the bathroom- pink fixtures.

The master bath has a yellow tub and fixtures.

A 2nd bdm. Even the bedding is vintage.

And, this bath has blue Fixtures. Wow, I would definitely keep them.

The basement is cool- look at that floor! And, the TV. The bar is classic. I wonder if they were leaving any of this.

i’m not sure if i’d be able to find it bc i don’t think i saved it but i saw a tiktok a few weeks ago of a trans woman talking about her experience of having sex with trans men, and she brought up that specifically she refuses to see it as ‘penetration’ or ‘penis in vagina’ because she doesn’t feel that way, she doesn’t understand why the penis takes the dominant role. Instead, for her, it’s more like being engulfed, swallowed, surrounded. And i’ve been like. thinking about that constantly ever since. I don’t think that referring to it as penetration is bad, but i think that theres an assumed importance of that certain aspect of sex, that the most important factor to whether something ‘counts’ is the dominance assumed by the role of penetration, with fingers, a toy, etc. In a lot of ways, as a trans man, i’ve learned to distance myself from my body. I am able to feel through peices of plastic better than my actual nerve endings. I feel that the act of transitioning sometimes upsets this hierarchy of sex. The idea that someone may use their body in a way seen as traditional sex but not view it through a traditional lens can be just as terrifying to people as someone not having traditional sex at all. It’s really difficult to articulate. Sex can be a lot of things to a lot of people, and i find it so frustrating when people limit the ways they are able to describe and connect with their bodies because of assumptions that something is not ‘real sex’ because it doesnt involve a certain act, or that penetration is inheritly more accurate or important than alternate views, such as the one i described before.

There's actually now a neologism for the obverse of penetration: circlusion!

The one who is penetrated is implied to be passive. A fun thing about computer skills is that as you have more of them, the number of computer problems you have doesn't go down.

This is because as a beginner, you have troubles because you don't have much knowledge.

But then you learn a bunch more, and now you've got the skills to do a bunch of stuff, so you run into a lot of problems because you're doing so much stuff, and only an expert could figure them out.

But then one day you are an expert. You can reprogram everything and build new hardware! You understand all the various layers of tech!

And your problems are now legendary. You are trying things no one else has ever tried. You Google them and get zero results, or at best one forum post from 1997. You discover bugs in the silicon of obscure processors. You crash your compiler. Your software gets cited in academic papers because you accidently discovered a new mathematical proof while trying to remote control a vibrator. You can't use the wifi on your main laptop because you wrote your own uefi implementation and Intel has a bug in their firmware that they haven't fixed yet, no matter how much you email them. You post on mastodon about your technical issue and the most common replies are names of psychiatric medications. You have written your own OS but there arent many programs for it because no one else understands how they have to write apps as a small federation of coroutine-based microservices. You ask for help and get Pagliacci'd, constantly.

But this is the natural of computer skills: as you know more, your problems don't get easier, they just get weirder.

And this is why my computer crashes when I let it sit for too long. Not only am I introducing new issues with the way I want to do things but all the old issues I introduced while learning and trying to fix problems 8 years ago are still there.
