okay so you've got a lot of beings telling you about this so i'm gonna give you the "non-tumblr-ized" definition (cause some beings are sugar coating it so you don't think we're weird: otherkin are beings who identify partially/wholly as a thing (e.g., plants/space/sky), a fictional character/thing, or a mythical/celestial/or earthly creature. it is common to be a spiritual thing, but it can also be mental or  emotional. recently, the definition of otherkin has expanded to beings who feel strongly bonded to their kintype (which is perfectly okay), but it is not however the original definition. (as you may have noticed, there's a big buzz about troll blogs lately, so here's a list of jerks to avoid)

hey, bud, there's a lot of troll blogs going around spreading fake stuff about us. i get that you're angry, but that's not us; here's a list of the trolls. there is actually a large majority of otherkin who are trans/nb (and the one's who aren't are fine too). it would be super appreciated if you didn't tag your negative posts about the community because you've probably been misinformed about what we're like, and no one really needs to see that.
