Tumblr staff has nuked my friend, a disabled, homeless transfem who relies on donations to survive, more than thirty-five times since the start of pride month, sometimes as quickly as within an hour of making an account, sometimes three or more times a day, at any and all hours of the day, along with anyone who regularly interacts with it.
This is targeted and intentional and transparently so; it does not matter what or how or when it posts - it gets nuked regardless. Respinding to the massive amount of harassment people put in its ask box? Nuked. Nothing but posts about being depressed? Nuked. Pictures of a plush? Nuked. Text posts only? Nuked. Donation post only? Nuked. Anything against any rules? Nuked. Nothing against any riles? Nuked. Things thousands of other people on the site are posting without? Nuked. All within, at most, days, but usually within 24 hours. It truly does not matter what it posts, it gets nuked regardless, all whipe getting inundated with cruel and hateful messages.
Compare this to the treatment of an account that does nothing except harass people:
This account has sent this message and a dozen others like it to Puppet, to me, to all our friends, and to several other people. They regularly reblog posts inciting harassment against other users, almost exclusively so, while doing things like searching for suicide and depression related posts to mock and suicidebait people on. This account - an obvious burner for someone - has been doing this regularly for several months now, and we all reported them back on the 5th of June. The 5th. They are still up at the time of writing this post and they are still actively doing this shit. Since then, Tumblr staff has nuked the accounts of nearly every person it has sent shit like what's pictured above to at least once, most multiple times.
This is the type of behavior that Tumblr not only allows and endorses, but actively aids and facilitates. This is the type of behavior that staff regularly, constantly passes and ignores to instead punish the people being harassed. Tumblr has ignored someone having made an alt account for the express purpose of inciting harassment who actively spends their time directly harassing people with slurs and suicidebaiting and threats while spreading harassment campaigns around that has been reported since nearly the start of pride month to instead nuke the same disabled, homeless transfem over thirty five times since the start of pride along with all of its friends including myself.
Tumblr will ignore reports about someone sending people slurs and threats and suicide baiting for weeks while hitting the same random transfem for the third time in one day within one hour of account creation regardless of what that transfem posts.
I don't care whether you think my friend or any of us did or did not deserve it, and it doesn't matter - why does Tumblr respond to reports against transfems within hours and immediately nuke their accounts, but take days and weeks to respond to anything else, including blatant violations of multiple rules such as above?
Every other group that pride encompasses has a sizeable community on this site, but anything transfem related has barely a fraction of the members - and if you look closer, the majority of those few members we have are pornbots. Every transfem and transfem adjacent tag, including slurs for us, including several general lgbt tags, is inundated with bots using stolen pictures of trans women to catfish for cam sites, to the point that several of these tags are flat out unusable, while all the actual transfem users are getting harassed and gangstalked and mass reported and nukes again and again and again. The MTFblr community has like a tenth of the members its FTM counterpart does, and is one of the largest such communities - and if you check the member list? Pages of bots and sissy/tranny fetish accounts. Everything on this site is so fucking blatantly and obviously biased against specifically trans women that it's almost surreal. There are multiple accounts dedicated solely to stalking specific trans women and cataloging and picking apart everything she says or does to paint her as evil, as an acceptable target, to incite harassment against her. Why is that shit allowed? Tumblr will even reinstate accounts like this if they get terminated. It is easier to be an avowed nazi on this site than it is a trans woman. People make death threats against us and staff responds to our reports of it to tell us it doesn't violate the ToS or user guidelines then turns around and nukes the black transfem that someone with the url niggerkiller-1488 just sent an ask consisting of over a hundred thousand racial slurs.
Why are people allowed to treat us, and only us, like this?
