Quick question that u can totally not answer: what's the Mormon view on prophecies? I literally don't know anything Abt the religion(besides what u talk Abt sometimes and some words from ex mormons but I was researching prophecies and myths surrounding them from my belief system and was wondering how mormons approach that!)

prophecy is th foundation of th church. aftr all, without th first prophet joseph smith, we wldn't hv discvred th truth. prophecy likely plays th mst importnt role in our religion. it's wht drives us, tht's why we tke blessings frm our eldrs srsly, bc they hv th sme source, god himslf. god speaks to our elders, our prophets, nd they speak to us. mst prophecies we hv are rlated to war bc they're mainly predictions of human behaviour. we see so mny diff civilisations rise nd fall in th book of mormon nd all of it srved nt js as a record of history bt as a prophecy in nd of itslf. we blieve th saviour nd redeemer of our souls will cme bck nd call fr us, one fateful day, as tht's been prophecised mny times, mainly thru ths thme of war nd political unrst. i hope ths is satisfying enough of an answr? you cld say i ws a lil cnfused by wht you meant by view lol. we blieve in prophecies bc they remind us tht our heavenly parnts are rly out thr wtching us go thru th vry thngs they plnned fr us so tht we may finally meet w thm again.
