4x01 dean comes back from hell whole thing shot like gay porn i love it 4x03 and 02 not my fav episodes ever but incredibly gay destiel scenes at night 4x06 anxious dean 4x07 awesome ep. castiel meets sammie. DESTIEL scenes like the bench scene ZOMG 4x09 just a great ep loads of drama. anna !

4x10 good for drama. anna kisses dean and cas is like :o 4x15 uhh the reapers have been kindapped. castiel and also alistair and pamela. its a fun time (sort of ) 4x16 ON THE HEAD OF A PIN. my favest episode so far, so much drama. dean angst! torturing alistair! bloody cas. cas at deans bedside . i was getting too close to the humans in my charge etc etc 4x18 chuck, good ep ft dean praying to cas for first time

4x20 tense. not the best ep ever but ft jimmy novak aka cas' vessel and funny just for the complete lack of sexual tension between dean and jimmy without cas inside him and dean's confusion

4x21 oop. sam getting demon blood detoxed. angst and greatly enjoyable

4x22 best epppp so good so good. so fun always good to rewatch. much destiel

6x01 NOT the best episode at ALL but really fun to watch in terms of dean gender studies. dean living normcore life with ben and lisa 6x03 CAS IS ON ONE! "we do have a more profound bond" very funny iconic destiel lines, balthazar included

6x04 BOBBY POV EP! YAY! supa funny silly lighthearted I loves it 6x05 Twilight/vampire. I am hesitant to put this one on the list but it is homoerotic vampires dean gender studies moments so I think it has to be here. minus points for soulless sam and samuel cos they sukk 6x06 ICONIC destiel whiskey pouring scene.Rest of the ep is fairly skippable. I sometimes slow this scene down to x0.25 and watch it because there's so much being said nonverbally thru their body language and eyes so watch careffffully. much to unpack, ripe for analysis. sad!Cas

6x09 dean fight the fairies episode. so much fun 6x10 meg! crowley! cas! the boys! they're all fighting. supa funny cas/crowley bits and cas sexual awakening 6x15 HOLA MISHAMIGOS! meta ep. so funny so silly so light

6x18 this ep truly has it all ONE OF MY FAV OF ALL TIME dean gender silly dress up cowboy, b plot is gay cas and bobby getting angel fisted umm 6x19-22 obvs THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING ARC !!!

7x01 GODSTIEL ARC 7x02 godstiel arc continued. for first 10 mins or something 7x06 -7x12 ok so these are by far not my fav episodes but. there's something to say for them. I thought season 7 was gonna be balls without cas but there's something quite Classic Supernatural going on in these eps which is comforting and/or dean gender studies and/or dean pining for cas which makes them good actually. ft frank & some garth . ALSO bobby being a dad and bobby death sequence eps 9/10 7x17 CAS RETURNS! Emmanual!Cas awesome destiel scenes like the trenchcoat bit ….. 7x18 party on garth. truly an incredible episode. garth-centric 7x20 CHARLIE CHARLIE CHARLIE! 1st charlie ep leviathian heist style plot quite fun and silly 7x21 crazy cas! off his rocker cas! cas and dean play a boardgame! cas is so charmingly aloof and offhand! "when castiel first laid hands on you in hell he was LOST!!!" ft. kevin tran 7x23 weird boy bestfriends behaviour … also "i'd rather have you, cursed or not" destiel scenes ft. the Iconic castiel crowley meg dean love triangle

So I was getting lost in a Merlin Wiki rabbit hole, as one does, and I stumbled across the page for spells. And turns out the writers actually put a lot more thought into it than I initially thought (they're not actually just shouting random words in Old English). But what shocked me the most was learning what Merlin was actually saying to Arthur while he was unconcious in the Poisoned Calice episode. I always thought he was trying to enchant some sort of protection spell to keep Arthur safe while he couldn't be there for him. But turns out he was actually declaring poetry, POETRY to Arthur the whole time!

That's right, Merlin was declaring actual POETRY to Arthur on his deathbed!! I kept seeing the wiki mention verses from a book called Beowulf and I got curious so after a quick Google search, I found out that it's actually one of the most famous epic poems in Old English and I just lost it!! I never thought this episode could get any gayer...

there's this merlin fic I read a few years ago: it was some kind of reveal fic, I think, and it was one of those tense, drawn-out ones set when arthur is king and gwen is queen. I don't remember the full context but I remember that gwen is holding arthur's sword and thinking that the craftsmanship is similar to her dad's, and then scrapes her fingernail over the place where her father would usually have added some kind of signature mark, and she realises that this is the sword she gave merlin forever ago. it was a fantastic moment of realisation and I would love to read it again, but I can't remember anything else about the fic :( if this is familiar to you could you please throw me a link or a few more hints? tysm

It sometimes seemed like Arthur was genuinely angry at himself for showing his attraction to Merlin…

I noticed a split second of self-directed anger when:

he was looking at Merlin’s lips as he gave him his mothers sigil,

when Merlin caught him and confronted him with “You came back to look for me,”  

and then when Gwen was banished this could explain why he seemed genuinely mean to Merlin, as if afraid that his own feelings would suddenly surface without her to try to distract him.

Facts about Merlin that may scare you:

His scarf ties in the front, not the back

He regularly wears a shirt (or binder? 👀) under his tunic

His belt is beautifully detailed… and purely decorative; he adds one to his Dolma disguise for the same reason

He did not have to look at the dress for Freya up against his own body like that

He wears his blue scarf with his blue tunic in periods of mourning; the only color combos we never see are red on red and blue on purple (he cares about fashion!)

He has this little braided bracelet that disappears by the time s3 swings around

He has always been, just as he will always be, meaning that he has existed since the dawn of time—we are only seeing a recent human incarnation of “magic itself”

He sometimes wears a vest of sorts (don’t remember the name, and don’t want to) under his jacket (most visible in 4x12)

His purple shirt is never seen outside of s4

He consistently sleeps with his socks on

GOD i feel so sorry for Merlin

Cos in the beginning everyone’s like him right? It’s him and Gwen and sometimes Lancelot against Arthur and Uther and the balance is towards him right? It’s very servants sneaking around trying to do the right thing despite the nobles and sometimes the nobles will be on their side but it’s very much from the perspective of the commoners

And by s3 he’s got Gwaine too, hell by the end he’s got a whole squad of commoners who he is equal to and that moment round the round table before they’re knighted is the only moment of true equality in the whole goddamn series

Then s4 rolls around and the knights are all nobles and you would never know they’d ever been commoners and they’ve all jumped on the Arthur Pendragon train and are helping enforce the regime that bans magic and are no longer Merlin’s equals whatever they pretend and then he loses Lancelot and it’s just Gwen and him and Arthur treats them however he wants because they’re servants (dumps them, yells at them, banishes them, threatens them etc)

Then it’s s5 and Gwen’s queen and you would never know she was ever a servant and she too has become complicit in oppressing his people and even Gaius is sitting at the round table and Merlin is literally COMPLETELY alone, no one to help him on his quests like he used to have. He has absolutely no power and at the same time more power than anyone and every single one of his friends is above him in status and god he must be so lonely

The fact that Gwaine asks Merlin if Arthur is okay is so BIG because really it’s implying that of all people merlin would be the one to know how Arthur’s feeling and thinking because truly even if nothing more Merlin is Arthur’s best friend which is why it hurt even more when Arthur pushed him away :(

This editing choice man. What the hell were they trying to do?

Merlin is up on a fucking cliff with an ARMY of people. Significantly far away, enough so that they look small from their perspective.

Yet this editing implies that somehow Arthur finds Merlin in the crowd and actually sees his expression?? Like, the fuck??

Also what are they trying to imply about the significance of Merlin’s view of Arthur here? Why does Arthur look up and find him? They already had a small heart-to-heart prior to the battle, but now he’s won and has to make a decision about the other champion, and he just has to look up and see Merlin, like he’s trying to prove himself to Merlin more than anyone else.

He does the same thing with his father when he was alive, and we all know that Uther’s approval was the most important thing to him back then.

Are they trying to imply that Merlin’s view of him and approval is the most important to him? Is that what you were trying to do BBC???

What am I supposed to do with this information??
