"How would lords be remembered in their countries in the modern(=post-industrial) era" is a fun thing to think about because I think they would be invoked mostly on vibes and their actual politics would largely be ignored or selectively highlighted when convenient in a way that they'd absolutely hate
Edelgard and Seiros are both symbols of ADRESTIA STRONG RRAAAAHHHH so they get thrown in the same category and appear on propaganda posters together, nevermind that they literally fought each other
Asking Adrestia at large to not have some kind of relationship to Church of Seiros is like asking Italy at large to not have some kind of relationship to Catholicism, there would absolutely be factions that invoke Edelgard and also have strong religious elements
Most would probably follow Southern Church over Central Church though because Southern Church is actually older than Central Church, Saint Seiros showed up there first, etc etc; Edelgard revived the Southern Church mainly for political reasons but even deeply religious people have reasons to lean towards Southern Church over Central in everyday life, like just because Vatican exists doesn't mean Jerusalem stopped being important
Secularists split between trying to claim Edelgard as theirs because she declared war on Central Church vs saying the Southern Church thing disqualifies her because right now it's Southern Church associated people being weird about religion and regardless of intentions she revived it; former motivated partially by “if we cede her to the religious revanchists/chauvinists then we’ll just look like we’re denying the history of Adrestia itself when we oppose them”
For those who care about the actual context and details, split between people trying to emphasize internal reform (modern republicanism guys) vs external conquest (imperial revanchists); many miss or willfully ignore the "wartime emergency is also what gave her the real power to do internal reforms, you can't separate the two" of it
Split between people trying to claim Saint Seiros as symbol of kindness and healing and empathy vs trying to claim her as symbol of killing enemies of Adrestia and the faith
If they don't already have one then monarchism/Hresvelg restoration advocates probably exist and they're probably not too niche even if not majority; even if it's just a constitutional or figurehead monarch, "imperial bloodline from a covenant with Saint Seiros" has too much hype moments and aura symbolic value in Adrestia

Dimitri is remembered as protector of Faerghus but the main method of protection people think of is "crush enemies with military force, execute traitors"
Faerghus invokes Nemesis and Ten Elites lineage for legitimacy, with Dimitri included in it alongside Loog, emphasizing military resistance to imperial conquest; they tend to conveniently forget or omit the part where Dimitri worked closely with Central Church
"Seiros faith is a tool of IMPERIAL CONQUEST used to BRUTALLY SUBJUGATE THE NORTH and ERASE OUR INDIGENOUS TRADITIONS" is the most extreme expression of above, but even the moderate/regular people who still believe in the faith are like Protestants ie not associated with the organized/centralized church branches that are usually Adrestia-adjacent
If they get a military government (and they absolutely would who are we kidding) Dimitri gets invoked as mascot, claiming that the military is the only thing protecting people from lawlessness and starvation like the Savior King did, they're executing fifth column and traitors like the Savior King did with the western lords, etc etc
Monarchism not necessarily as big as you might assume because Faerghan kings were military figures whose legitimacy was from military strength underneath all the chivalry and holy king rhetoric, so a constitutional monarch who can't deploy military at will to kill enemies has no sauce; however junta has concerning amounts of civilian support (reluctantly or enthusiastically)
Some people like democracy activists try to emphasize the reform and citizen participation part of Dimitri's legacy; authoritarians say "okay but he did all that AFTER crushing the enemy militarily and executing traitors, we can have democracy once we're done executing traitors" (they never run out of traitors to execute)

"I would have called him a racist slur but Claude von Riegan is still GOAT for creating open border free trade capitalism"
He's a symbol of Leicesterian unity and sovereignty from external interference when Leicester needs to rally around that (for legitimate reasons or racist reasons or both) and a symbol of diplomacy and tolerance when Leicester needs foreign investments and trade deals, especially with Almyra, which many Leicesterians are still racist towards but this does not stop economic activity
Not as much of a singular icon from the era as the other two lords because Leicester territories still have strong regional pride; other Deer/Leicesterians who were active during the era are local heroes
He's the undisputed icon in Riegan but other regions' takes on him are all slightly different and it mostly comes down to "yes yes Claude von Riegan did great things but have you considered that our local figure was perhaps just as GOATed as him? They might be more GOATed than him from some perspectives, even"
There are also debates on whether Claude should be classified as a liberal bourgeoisie revolutionary or whether that's stolen valor bc he's not actually bourgeoisie, but he's still on their currency and neoliberal think tanks are named after him
He's somewhat more difficult to invoke for militaristic flavor mobilization/propaganda compared to the other two lords because his biggest achievements are economic and diplomatic, but debates over this guy's legacy has caused multiple bitter academic schisms and rivalries in economics and historiography
