@crosbyism was asked about if nate had sold his house and the consensus is no but that there was a 3d tour made and everything. i'm desperately nosy and couldn't find the 3d tour, but i did see some pictures, and sure, nate has a picture of him and sid on the wall in his rec room that appears to have no other decorations in it

i am BEGGING everyone to be able to use their media literacy skills for this one. every media outlet LOVES to take a quote he said or one single moment and create this narrative that he is evil. that he hates his teammates. that he only cares about himself. that he is a locker room cancer. that he is selfish. that he has no fun. that he is a terrible person. everything he says is blown out of proportion or taken out of context. he misses one (1) goal at the olympics and he becomes the punchline for every h*ghes fan who wants everyone to forget their faves are problematic. every c*nn*r mcd*vid fan who wants you to forget their fave was invisible in the final few games of the olympics. i think a lot about that article of him talking about being macklin's where he says 'i was an idiot, no no, not good enough, not mature enough, not anything enough'. now think about that article where he says 'i don't want to hold onto any secrets i learned, i want to give it all away.' he doesn't want anyone to feel how he felt when he was first in the league. he doesn't want anyone to feel that shame of not being good enough. he worked hard to beat the bust allegations, to allow himself to be mentioned in the same sentence as sid, just to be called evil and that he works his team so hard that they hate him. please watch ANY one of his teammates talking about him. please listen to sid talk about him.

i thank god every day that he talks so openly about therapy. that he has a good support system in place. that he has grown from the kid he was into the person he is. show me any other player who consistently gets his name dragged through the fucking mud everyday and still continues to talk to media, who pours into his teammates and who still laces up his skates every day.

was on twt and I got pissed off when I saw him getting hate again for no reason and I hate it so much because the criticism will often always ignore any good plays he has made and it sucks. there’s this narrative of him on twt which I will never understand and agree with because contrary to what I’ve seen he’s been nothing like what they say and I think it’s crazy how ppl act like this and the way they bring Sid into it when they say the most dumbest things ever…I’m gonna throw hands at one point.

what if you were the best player in the league and you scored the golden goal for team canada and had a stanley cup and multiple awards under your belt and what if you were beat down by injuries and in a tough place and what if you agreed to train with this kid from your hometown who idolizes you and you don’t know what to expect and what if he looks at you with stars in his eyes but when you pull him down by the ankle and he faceplants into the sand and he laughs (and now recounts that story with such fondness and mirth), you realize he sees you and he likes you, the you not many get to see and what if you realize he’s as insane and passionate as you are and what if the comparisons to you loom over his career but he never resents you for it and what if you ask your former teammate to look out for him because you want his experience in the league to be better than yours was and what if said teammate felt like he already knew him by the time they met because of how much you talked about him and what if you let him build a house right next to yours and rezoned your property because being attached at the hip is your idea of the best time and what if he makes you laugh like no other and what if over the years, his love for you has never faded, but grown into something steady and well-worn and what if he’s your best friend and your favorite person and what if you love him back.
