The rain in Singapore is making me miss everything soupy and warm and salty in Shanghai
羊肉泡馍 yáng ròu pāo mó(ヤンローパオモー)/ In Xi’an 西安市 This was local food in Xi’an. I made a mistake!! I had to rip my bread smaller than this. I didn’t like this meal because the bread was very hard. Next time, I will rip it into smaller pieces. 西安のローカルフードです。私はパンを小さくちぎらなければならなかったのですが、大きかったのでパンはスープを注いでもらった後も固いままで美味しくありませんでした。次回は小さくちぎります!
Hehe I remember passing by a super crowded stall along the Muslim Food street that did this– customers rip the bread themselves and passed the bowl of bread pieces back to the kitchen. The thing is, I was never confident it would be the same bowl of bread that came back since other customers also shredded their own bread. Anything that’s mutton and soup is good though!!

I don’t even know what’s this called. But it’s made abit like crepe, and then the lady added some crispy thingy, sprinkled pickled veggies and dabbled some spicy sauce before the wrapped the huge crepe and folded it into two. It’s a pretty popular street snack, esp in the mornings before people head off for work. and I prefer this to the thicker version..which resembles abit like roti prata. One costs 3yuan, which is only 60 cents sgd, gasps!
Flowers on a window sill. Always a head turner.

Mr. Li and his fast food noodles go head-to-head with Colonel Sander’s KFC and its highly localised fast food.
Both open 24 hours and KFC even serves breakfast from 5am.
