currently wondering what pokemon each member of the who would have on their teams if they were trainers

Ok so here’s the lineups I have so far:

John’s is pretty self explanatory. You’ve got Tauros (he was the ox), Houndoom (he had an army of Irish Wolfhounds), and Gavantula (he loved spiders)

For Roger, I chose Whimsicott and Altaria cause of their fluffy and cute appearances, and Conkeldurr for the needed fighting type rep (although tbh I’m a bit less certain about him)

As for Moonie, it was pretty simple. Minior for the cute moon-shaped design, plus Exploud and Electode for their destructive capabilities

I love meticulously assigning Pokémon teams to guys who couldn't name a single one, so I figure I'll throw my hat into the ring:

We've got a lot of overlap on John, he was the easiest tbh. I added Aggron and Aegislash 'cause of his medieval armor collection; Aggron is big and imposing with a skeletal look, and Aegislash has that association with kings and such. Gengar fits his more macabre and mischievous side. I tried to think up what his starter would be but I'm stumped there :?

Keith's team I imagine being very chaotic; he likely wouldn't be a very diligent trainer so most of his Pokémon stay unevolved. I thought Mr. Mime made a lot of sense because clown, perhaps Mime Jr. would be his starter? Magikarp is just a gag that he grew attached to, Aipom is a silly monkey, and Koffing apparently randomly explodes without warning so that fits Moon's unpredictable nature. He also definitely bought his Exploud instead of training it.

Roger I think would start with a Tyrogue since it compliments his tough upbringing, and its evolution Hitmonchan seemed best 'cause he was a bit of a boxer. I picked Krookodile for similar reasons, but it moreso covers his frontman side. He owned horses and had a trout farm, so Galarian Rapidash and Barraskewda seemed suitable. Arcanine I mainly thiught of 'cause of the mane, but after reading its Pokédex entry ("Its magnificent bark conveys a sense of majesty. Anyone hearing it can't help but grovel before it.") it became a definite pick. Then Altaria is said to have a beautiful singing voice in addition to it being fluffy.

Pete was probably the most difficult but I like what I came up with. Ralts would be his starter 'cause he took ballet as a child, while Gardevoir could represent his feminine side. Then later in life he got into sailing so he naturally needs a Lapras. Kricketune expresses its emotions with its melodies, and Spoink bounces like its life depends on it (it does). Rotom's associated with electronics and he's a bit of an innovator in that department, plus it fits his more playful side. I'm not 100% on Slowking but it's intellectual and well-spoken so maybe that works?

Some ink doodles I did for some penpal letters, all colors from Octopus Fluids' Write & Draw series as I'm more or less obsessed with them. The Nilsson was my first attempt so he's a bit muddy unfortunately...

Also I'm currently in between letters so if any other music/movie freaks wanna exchange some mail I'd be down; I'm so booored!
