As good as the bonefish on Cocos Islands are, this was a highlight. With their big blue-green paddle tails flapping in the breeze, the bumphead parrotfish graze slowly on the shallow reef flats like a herd of cows. And some of them are almost the size of cows. Those Cocos Islands bonefish are big! It was a tough 10 days for sight fishing with cloudy skies, wind gusting to 40 knots and rain squalls most days, but the fish were most definitely there.
