Sunday study tip : romanticize your studying, act like you're Spencer Hastings or Hermione Granger 😌

march 23, 2021 - i had an off day the other day and something i had to remind myself was that it is okay to have off days.
18.02.20 // writing poetry is hard! I used to find myself writing poetry all the time, little verses that no one else would see - now I’m being graded on it, it feels like nothing good is coming out! very frustrating.
on a happier note, I’m finally out of my reading slump! my girlfriend lent me one of her favourite books and as someone who often thinks about ditching society and abandoning my belongings for a forest, it’s interesting to read about someone who’s actually done it!

Hiya! ✨
Hi guys! As some of you may know, I’ve been trying to switch over to Notion to stream-line all my research progress and notes in one space. Unfortunately, all the examples I found here on Tumblr and on Youtube were more geared towards a bullet journal adaptation of Notion or more undergraduate-focused use of the app, which wasn’t what I wanted to model mine after. Therefore, I decided to play around with Notion myself and ended up making it work for my purposes. Because I am using this with the intention of being more focused and having my priorities straight, I kept the theme pretty basic and efficient. I am still working on learning how to use this app for my purposes but I decided to make this post to show you guys how I set up my Notion. Feel free to message me if you ever have any questions about my set-up or would like to see more of how I set a particular page up. Some toggles and texts are blurred out for research privacy purposes since it is unpublished data. [click on individual images for full res.]

Is it me? Is it really me? Yes it is. I can’t believe it myself. But thanks to Headspace soundscapes, scented candles and very rainy weather it suddenly seems possible to work. Also slight change of perspective: I took my desk into the bedroom (after spending a whole semester with the same view, thanks to covid). Almost two weeks left until uni starts. Reading Le Monde until then, learning some French vocabulary and getting used to Notion while snacking on Christmas biscuits. It’s getting better, slowly but steadily.
21.08.20 / happy friday. i was listening to the michelle obama podcast this morning and it gave me a productivity boost. i’m still working on revisions right now but for tonight, i want to start reading northanger abbey by jane austen. how will you spend your weekend? hope you’re doing well ♡

ive trying to consciously make studying enjoyable, but also rigorous and productive lately. started by downloading forest and tidying up my desk (a very good mix of art and law obvs). today is day one. hope everyone is staying safe.
