warnings- mentions of knives, wounds, battle, etc.
You had been born with a rather useful and extraordinary gift. You could heal wounds with a simple touch and a bit of concentration. As soon as you were old enough and had mastered your skills with healing, you applied for a job in the castle. It meant you would be a healer to Odin's soldiers and even the Allfather or the princes themselves.
It was your first day on the job and you were already enjoying it. You'd helped several soldiers with their wounds along with a few ordinary citizens. Already it seemed like a very rewarding job.
"Lady Y/N," a deep voice said from behind you.
You turned around, smiling when you saw Thor. You'd met him several times during your visits to the castle. "Hello, Thor," you greeted with a smile. "How can I help you?"
"Actually, it's my brother who needs help," Thor replied, stepping aside to reveal his younger brother.
Loki was clutching his side, his shirt seemed to be soaked with blood. Thor reached out, offering to help him stand but Loki swatted him away. "I'm hurt, but not helpless," the god of mischief said. "I can stand on my own."
Thor sighed and took a step back away from his brother, shooting you a glance. "Loki was assisting me with the training of one of our new soldiers," he explained.
"That boy isn't fit to hold a weapon," Loki muttered under his breath. "But I'm fine. I don't need any healer." He tried to straighten himself and take a few steps, only to wince in pain and cover his wound with his hand again.
You guide him over to the table, instructing him to sit down, and he reluctantly followed your orders. You reached out with a careful hand, placing it on his side gently. Almost immediately, the pain Loki was in seemed to fade. He let out a small sigh of relief and in minutes the wound was gone without a trace other than a faint scar.
He looked at you, his blue eyes wide in surprise at your power. "Thank you, Lady Y/N," he said. He rose from the table, seeming pleased when there was no pain.
warnings- mentions of death, violence, explosions, weapons
I ran across the grassy yard, laughing the entire time. I could hear my best friend's steps as he chased after me.
"You'll never catch me, Ben!" I called over my shoulder. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see his parents standing near his house and speaking to another man who I recognized as his uncle.
I felt a hand push against my back.
"I got you!" Ben shouted triumphantly. "You're it now." With that, he dashed off in the opposite direction.
I growled in frustration and followed after him, sprinting as fast as I could. I had almost caught up to him when his mother shouted his name from across the yard. I stopped in my tracks and studied the adults. They all had serious, but proud expressions on their faces.
I watched as my friend when towards his family, but I remained in my place. I may have only been twelve, but I was smart enough to know not to pry into conversations where I wasn't wanted.
Ben spoke with his uncle and parents for several minutes. By the end of it, they all were wearing bright smiles.
I had settled myself in a patch of grass and was picking at it absentmindedly while I waited for Ben to return and play with me again.
"Y/N, I have something awesome to tell you!"
I looked up when Ben spoke and watched as he raced towards me. I collapsed into the grass right beside me, grinning from ear to ear.
"What is it?" I asked with a bright smile. Anything that made him happy made me happy as well.
"My Uncle Luke says I'm old enough to train with him now," he replied. "I'm going to be a Jedi."
My heart sank a little. Ben and I had been best friends since we were born. We were inseparable.
"That's amazing, Ben," I replied with a smile. This had been the only thing he had talked about for years. It was his dream. I was happy he was able to go for it. "When will you leave?"
"Tomorrow morning," he said with excitement. He reached out, embracing me in a quick hug. "I'm going to miss you."
————
I huddled inside my house and squeezed my eyes shut. Outside, I could hear blasters and explosions and people screaming in the streets.
My parents had been fortunate and passed before the war. I don't think their hearts could have handled living through something like this yet again. But now I was alone and I suddenly found myself wishing they were here.
"Check every house. I want everyone is rounded up." A voice boomed above the chaos of the ensuing battle.
I could barely hear the sound of my door creaking open in the next room. I scooted back in the closet I was hiding in and pressed my back against the wall.
I tried to listen for the intruder's footsteps, but I heard nothing. Just when I started to think they might have moved on, an eerie read glow began to shine from under the door.
I held my breath as it grew brighter. I had tried to hide myself behind the hanging coats and other items, but was only partially successful. Still, I hoped that they would somehow look over me.
The door swung open and a red glow filled the room. "I know you're in here. Come out of hiding." The man's voice was laced with anger and impatience.
I remained frozen and wide eyed.
He reached up and yanked the coats aside, revealing me in my hiding spot, curled up on the floor.
I looked up into his dark eyes. Something about them was familiar. His dark hair was long and reached just above his shoulders.
"Ben?" I whispered. He was different, yes. But still the same somehow. His eyes were the same color but rather than being filled with kindness as I had remembered, they were filled with a rage that instilled fear into me. His hair was longer and a bit darker, but it was still his hair.
The utterance of his name sent him spiraling into confusion. He lowered the weapon in his hand and stared at me. "How do you that name?"
His voice was different than I remembered, but it of course had been years since I had spoken to him.
I rose to my feet but kept my back pressed against the wall. After he had left to start Jedi training, he visited a couple time a year. Then eventually not at all.
"Do you remember me?" I asked, looking into his eyes.
I saw a glimmer of recognition.
"Y/N," he said softly. His eyes softened for a split second, then returned to their previous state of anger and confusion.
I looked from him, to his weapon, and back to him. The pieces of the puzzle came together. "You're... you're him," I murmured. My heart began to race. "You're Kylo Ren."
He stared down at his hand for a moment and slowly put the weapon away. "I won't hurt you. You don't have to be afraid."
My mind raced as I tried to think of a way out. "Don't have to be afraid?" I couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation. "You're a murderous tyrant who's invaded my planet!"
His gaze softened once more and he released a heavy sigh. "There is a lot you don't understand."
I was about to speak when I heard voices shouting outside and the sound of blasters quickly followed.
"Are you going to kill me?" I asked him.
"I'm supposed to take you to the town square with the other citizens," Kylo replied in a monotone voice. I could see the conflict in his eyes.
"But you aren't, are you?" I asked after he didn't respond. I still felt very afraid. My heart pounded as I wondered if Kylo Ren was going to kill me or if my friend, Ben, would help me somehow.
He reached out and snatched me by the wrist. I didn't struggle to pull away. If I was going to die, I would not go out begging. He pulled me through the house and led me out the back entrance.
It was then that I realized he was not guiding me to the town square. He was leading me towards the outskirts of the city.
"Where are we going?" I whispered.
"Don't talk."
I remained quiet, not wanting to anger someone with his kind of power. After a moment, my heart began to race once more. Perhaps he just wanted to kill me himself. Maybe that's why he was leading me out here.
Then a ship came into view. Then another and another.
Kylo pushed a button and a door on the side of the small spacecraft opened. He shoved me toward it. "Take this and leave the system. Go as far as you can."
I climbed into the pilot's seat, vaguely remembering how to fly a ship. I hoped the thing had an autopilot option. I stared back at Ben. "You can come with me."
For a moment it looked as if he wanted to. Then he shook his head. "Leave."
"Will I ever see you again?" I asked frantically. I had lost my best friend for years. I didn't want to lose him again.
"Yes. I promise." And with that, he turned and walked off, his cape blowing in the wind.
The attempt on my life had left me shaken and jumpy for days afterward. As a senator, it wasn't surprising that someone had attempted to assassinate me, but it was still jarring.
The assassin had shot through a window and had missed me only by a few mere inches.
I waited in the lounge to meet the Jedi who was tasked to protect me. I would feel much more secure with one of them around so the council had agreed to send one. For now, a few guards went with me everywhere.
I tapped my foot impatiently. "When will he be here?" I asked, looking to my assistant.
"Soon madam," the young girl responded.
The words had barely escaped her mouth when the doors parted. An attractive man in Jedi robes stepped through the door. He had blue eyes and reddish blond hair and a beard.
I rose from my seat to greet him, relieved that he was finally here. My guards were capable, but not as highly trained or skilled as a Jedi.
"Senator Y/L/N, I apologize for being late." The man stopped in front of me and smiled politely. "I am Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. The council has tasked me to protect you until the threat on your life has passed."
"It's wonderful to meet you Master Kenobi." I bowed respectfully to him. "I already feel safer having you around."
I motioned towards the chairs in the lounge. "Please, sit down and relax." I settled myself back in my seat and smoothed down the fabric of my yellow gown.
Master Kenobi smiled and politely sat in the seat across from you. "There are a few things we need to discuss," he said in his accent. "May I ask you some questions?"
I couldn't help but find him attractive. He was even more so when he spoke. I quickly pushed those thoughts away. He was here on business and we would keep it as such. Besides, it was forbidden for Jedi to have attachments.
"Of course," I said. "Ask me anything."
Most of his questions revolved around details about the night of the assassination attempt. He wanted to know if anyone had seen the shooter and if cameras had caught any footage.
"You are welcome to view all of the security footage from in and around my apartment," I informed him. "And feel free to ask anyone questions. My guards and assistants will be more than happy to help."
"Thank you, senator. I will be staying here with you while my padawan tracks down the assassin. Is that alright with you?" He asked.
I was a little unsure of how a felt about a padawan being left to such a task, but I trusted the council. "I believe you know what is best," I told him honestly. "I have a spare room for you to stay in. It's right next to mine."
I wanted him close in case someone attempted to attack me in my sleep. The thought made me shudder.
————
The next few days passed with ease. Obi-Wan kept a secure watch on every inch of my apartment and there were no more attempts made on my life. But my attempted murderer had not yet been captured.
I poked the fire with the metal stake until the flames grew and I sat the stake down. It was a cold night and I was feeling unusually stressed. On night like these I liked to sit by the fire. I settled down into my chair and sighed, the warmth bringing me a bit of comfort.
"It's awfully late, senator. I'm surprised that you're still awake."
The voice startled me from my daze and my eyes shot open. I relaxed when I saw who it was. "Master Kenobi," I breathed out in relief.
"I apologize if I startled you, Senator Y/L/N," he replied with a small smile. He settled into a nearby chair. "And please, call me Obi-Wan."
I smiled warmly. "Alright, but only if you call me Y/N."
We had become friends since his arrival so there was no need for such formalities any more.
————
The time passed and soon Obi-Wan's padawan caught the assassin just as he had promised. While I relieved that the danger was gone, I couldn't help but be a little sad that Obi-Wan would have to go. He made for good company.
But a month passed and he was still there, protecting me. When I asked him why he said it was to make sure whoever wanted me dead wouldn't send another assassin. I couldn't help but wish he was staying for other reasons.
We sat at my dining room table that night, chatting and laughing about whatever.
"Anakin didn't really do that, did he?" I asked laughing, but still shocked.
"He did," Obi-Wan replied with laughter. "He jumped right out of the speeder to chase down the target."
I laughed right along with him. I couldn't seem to take my eyes off of him. His laughter and smiles made him even more handsome.
After a moment, his expression grew serious. "I will have to leave in a few days," he said. I could hear a hint of sadness in his voice. "The Jedi council has given me an assignment on Mandalore."
My face fell. "Oh." I scrambled for something to say, hoping he wouldn't sense how upset I was. "Well it makes sense now that I'm not longer in danger. I'm sure the council needs you elsewhere."
He nodded but didn't seem too convinced. He opened his mouth to speak but changed his mind and closed it.
"I wish you didn't have to go," I said softly. I scolded myself internally. My feelings for him did not matter. They would surely be rejected by him. He was a Jedi master.
He studied my eyes for a moment and I froze under his gaze, doing my best to bury down my feelings.
"I would like to come back and visit sometime," Obi-Wan said.
I found myself smiling once more. I could feel something coming from him- a sense of warmth and comfort. It was gone in a moment and I wasn't sure if I had imagined it or if had been sending something to me. "I would love that," I replied.
Life on Tatooine wasn't easy for an orphan, but I made do.
I walked through the dusty streets, the sun beating down made me sweat.
I scanned the area for an easy target. A woman walked nearby with her two children. An old man sat beside a building, begging for food or spare change. Shopkeepers shouted out advertisements for items they were selling, hoping to draw in some business.
Then I spotted him. He was a few years older than me. He had dirty blond hair and sparkling blue eyes. In the pocket of his clothing, I could sense a large sum of money.
I didn't need all of it. Just a few coins would do. I walked in his direction, pretending to be absorbed in the various shops and market stalls around me. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see him growing closer.
Just as he passed by me, I closed my eyes and concentrated. My fingers twitched then I felt the coolness of the coins in my hand just a moment later.
I clutched onto them fiercely, shoved them in my pocket, and disappeared into the crowd. I rarely ever was caught pickpocketing, but I didn't want to take any chances by sticking around until he realized some of his money was gone.
I didn't know how I had gotten my gift- my powers. I had been able to do unexplainable things for as long as I could remember. It was a blessing. It gave me a way to survive.
I pulled my hood up over my head as I walked. After a moment, I felt uneasy. A glance over my shoulder told me I was being followed.
"Bantha fodder," I muttered under my breath. I quickened my pace. How had he seen me? I had been so careful.
I glanced over my shoulder once again and accidentally locked eyes with the man. I turned my head back forwards and tried not to look so guilty, but I could tell he was on to me so I started to run.
I ran down the street and turned the corner into an alley, only to find that it was a dead end. My heart pounded and my breathing grew heavy from both my sheer panic and the running.
When I turned to escape the way I had entered, he was blocking my path out of alley. But rather than being angry and ready to kill me like I had expected, he looked almost kind. There was a small smile on his peaceful face.
I didn't fall for it though. He could kill me or beat me for stealing from him. "You can have your money back, just let me go," I said. I started to reach into my pocket. My life wasn't worth risking for a bit of change.
He raised a hand, motioning for me to leave the money. When he did, his robe shifted aside and I saw a glint of silver. A long cylinder shaped piece of metal hung at his hip, sparking my curiosity.
"How long have you been able to do that?" He asked.
"Do what?" I responded, playing dumb. I had kept my abilities a secret from everyone my entire life and that wasn't about to chance.
The young man's smile grew. "You can do things you can't quite explain. Move things. Feel things." As he spoke he stepped a bit closer to me. I felt the urge to run, but stood my ground.
I remained quiet, unsure of what to say.
He held out his hand once more. I felt the money in my pocket shift and I looked down to see it slowly float out and towards the man. He took it into his palm and slipped it back into his robe.
I stared with wide eyes. "You can do it too..." I whispered. For so long I had thought I was the only one. This time it was me who stepped closer. I couldn't help but be curious.
"I can teach you how to master it," he told me.
"What is it?" I asked, still in complete shock. "Who are you?"
"My name is Luke Skywalker," he replied. "And it is the Force that gives you your abilities. I can sense that it is strong in you."
I remained quiet. The Force. I had heard the word before but never knew that it was what gave me my gift. "My name is Y/N." I was quiet for another moment. "Can you train me?"
warnings- choking, bondage, kn!fe kink, threesomes, descriptions of nudity, etc.
A- Aftercare
Loki is always careful to check on your after sex and make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable.
B- body part (your favorite body part of his and his favorite of yours)
You aren’t sure if it necessarily counts as a body part, but you love Loki’s hair. You especially love running your fondees through it when he’s going down on you.
Loki is most fond of your legs. He loves to run his hands over your smooth skin and to squeeze your thighs. He also enjoys putting your legs up onto his shoulders when he is on top and having his way with you.
C- cum
Loki loves to cum inside of you or on you. On your neck, ass, or face. Something about seeing his pleasure all over your skin turns him on even more.
D- dirty secret
The knowledge that he can get you pregnant drives Loki wild. He would never admit it aloud but it’s part of the reason he is so obsessed with finishing inside of you. Not because he’s that eager to have kids, but because there’s the risk. He finds it to be an adrenaline rush.
E- experience (how experienced are they?)
He is an attractive and wealthy prince, so he has had his share of both men and women around Asgard. It made you jealous at first but eventually you became grateful for his experiences in the past. It means he always knows exactly what to do with you.
F- favorite position
His favorite position is, without a doubt, doggy style. He finds that it gives him a wonderful view of your ass and the perfect opportunity to grab you by your hair.
G- goofy (are there serious in the moment or no?)
He is very much serious in the moment. He takes your sex life seriously. He is very focused and determined while in the moment. Mostly focused on trying to bring you pleasure.
H- hair
He is very clean cut and well groomed. His chest and nether regions are all bare. He finds it cleaner and more attractive that way, on himself at least. When it comes to you he doesn’t mind whether you have hair or not.
I- intimacy
He finds intimacy to be a very important part of keeping a healthy relationship. He makes an effort to perform grand and romantic gestures to ensure that you feel special all the time.
J- Jack off
Loki doesn’t masturbate often. He much prefers the real deal. On the rare occasion he does, it’s usually when the two of you are parted for long periods of time.
K- kink (their kinks)
It didn’t surprise you when Loki revealed his knife kink to you. He seemed nervous, as if you would reject him and go running for the hills, so when you admitted to him that you had a similar kink he was overjoyed. He would never draw blood from you without permission, and the same goes for you.
Loki is a dom 100% and enjoys tying you down in rather complex bondage and lightly dragging a knife across that beautiful skin of yours, or simply holding the blade against your throat.
L- location (favorite places to do the deed)
He prefers to do it in a proper bed. He feels that is the best place for him to worship you and give you all of the pleasure that you require.
M- motivation (what turns them on)
You always keep your hair up in elaborate braids or other hairstyles, as is Asgardian tradition. At the end of the day, Loki loves to watch you take your hair down. He knows it relieves you of a headache and he finds your hair very beautiful.
N- no (turns offs)
Loki is open to most things but the one thing that turns him off the most is jealousy. If he feels as though you are flirting with someone else or someone else is flirting with you, it makes him angry.
O- oral
Loki is more than happy to perform oral sex on you whenever you please. He always tells you how sweet you taste. However, if he had to choose he much prefers receiving oral. He especially enjoys when you let him take control and fuck your mouth.
P-pace
Loki will pave himself however you please. He can either be fast and rough or slow and romantic if that’s what you wish.
Q- quickie
Loki is a rather big fan of quickies. He will often take you into spare rooms or other private areas of the palace to make love to you before going about the rest of his day. Sometimes the two of you will have more than one of these quickies throughout the day.
R- risk (willing to experiment?)
There isn’t much he won’t say no to. He’s willing to try just about anything, anywhere so long as you are willing.
S- stamina
He can usually last for four or five rounds of actual intercourse without a long break between sessions. He’s always more than willing to please you over and over and over even after he has had his fill.
T- toys
He’s not opposed to using toys however he doesn’t own any himself. He’s always thought that the job is better done when he does it himself.
U- unfair (how much they like to tease)
He is an extremely impatient man and typically won’t tease you for very long. Once he gets an idea or desire in his head he just has to have it at that very moment. You know this and often take it to your advantage by teasing him as much as possible throughout the day.
V- volume
He is not ashamed to admit that he is rather vocal when the two of you are intimate. He is not afraid of anyone hearing.
W- wild card
He would never admit this aloud, but Loki has wild fantasies of having a threesome. Preferably either Fandral or Lady Sif joining the two of you for a kinky night ;).
X- x ray (what do they look like under their clothes?)
Loki is above average length but about average girth. You find every inch of it pleasing.
Y- yearning (how high is their sex drive)
Loki desires you constantly. Just the very sight of you can turn him on. He would do it all hours of the night and day if he could, but he understands that both of you are separate people with lives. He still likes to think about it though.
Z- zzz (how quickly they sleep afterwards)
It typically depends on the situation. Sometimes sex leaves him full of energy and ready to go for another round or stay up and talk for a while. However if the two of you have been drinking he will fall asleep right afterward.
The senate often hosted these parties to encourage communication and friendships between its members. Senators could bring their close friends or family members with them.
While not a senator myself, I was close friends with Padmé Amidala so she had extended me an invitation.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see her, looking as beautiful as ever in her purple dress.
"Thank you so much for inviting me, Padmé," I said with a smile. I looked around the elaborately decorated room once more. "This place is beautiful." Large glass windows covered every wall and the night sky outside was beautiful. A crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling and it reflected the light from the candles perfectly.
"You're very welcome, Y/N," Padmé replied. She smiled back and gently squeezed my hand. "What kind of friend would I be if I didn't invite you to a party?"
I chuckled lightly. "I would have hated to miss this." While the discussions seemed to revolve around politics, the food was good and so was the music.
"Padmé!" A voice cheerfully exclaimed.
I turned my head to see an attractive young man fast approaching us, his eyes locked onto my friend. He had short brown hair and a long braid, giving away his padawan status.
I hadn't noticed any other Jedi at the party, but I wasn't surprised that there was at least one there. I'm sure more were around.
"Ani." Padmé smiled and greeted the young man with a hug. "It's been too long since I've seen you."
I stood quietly as the two engaged in excited conversation. Padmé spoke of him often and I could tell that they were good friends.
"Would you introduce me to your friend?" The padawan asked. His eyes finally met mine and it sent my heart racing.
"Of course," the senator responded. "Anakin, this is Y/N. She's a dear friend of mine. We grew up together on Naboo. Y/N, this is Anakin Skywalker."
I held out my hand, intending to shake his, but I was surprised when he took my hand gently and kissed it instead. The spot where his lips brushed against my skin tingled.
"It's good to meet you," Anakin said as he straightened himself.
"It's good to meet you too. Padmé has already told me a lot about you," I replied. I was grinning from ear to ear now. Something told me that Anakin and I would get along very well.
Bail Organa approached us as well. "Senator Amidala, would you like to dance?" He extended a hand to the young woman.
Padmé graciously accepted and the two walked off together.
I suddenly felt very awkward standing there with someone I had only just met.
"Dance with me," he said.
I looked up at him, a little flustered. "What?"
"Dance with me." Anakin smiled in a charming manner and held out his arm for me to take.
"I would love to." I looped my arm through his and followed him out to the center of the room where many people were already dancing to the music.
He took his hand in mine and placed his other hand on my waist. I rested my spare hand on his shoulder and together we danced to the soft music that was playing.
His soft blue eyes stared back into my e/c ones and if he hadn't been a Jedi, I would have thought he was interested in me.
But for a moment I forgot he was a Jedi and I desperately wished that he would be interested in me.
They're were laid out neatly on the bed. It was tempting to go over there and touch them, so I did. I had always wanted to try them on and now he wasn't there to stop me.
I slipped out of my nightgown and the cool air hit my bare skin, making me shiver.
I slipped on the tunic first. Obi was much taller than me, so it felt like wearing a dress. Next I pulled on the dark brown robe. It was so long that it dragged on the floor.
I looked at myself in the mirror and grinned, twirling around in my new outfit. The robes were surprisingly warm, but breathable. I could see why the Jedi wore them. I would have to steal these from my boyfriend more often.
"You look adorable."
I turned my head to see Obi-Wan standing in the doorway of the bathroom. I hadn't even heard the shower cut off. He was standing with just a towel wrapped around his waist, which made me blush even though I had seen him naked before.
He walked over to me and pressed a kiss to my forehead, making me smile.
"I am adorable, aren't I?" I looked back in the mirror and gave a dramatic pose which earned a laugh from Obi-Wan.
You sat in the passenger seat of Bucky's car, staring at the screen in the field ahead of you. Bucky wanted to take you to a drive-in for your first date, so now you were sitting there watching a showing of Back to the Future because he had never seen it before.
The movie wasn't set to start for a few minutes so you tried to make conversation. You had shared small talk on the way there, but it had suddenly become awkward. Things had never been awkward between the two of you before. You knew almost everything about each other.
You reached for the bag of popcorn you had brought, only to have your hand bump into his. Muttering an apology, you quickly moved your hand so he could reach the popcorn first.
"No, no. You first," Bucky said. He held the popcorn bag out to you and you gratefully scooped out a few pieces.
The next minute passed in relative silence. It was no longer awkward, just a comfortable silence.
"Y/N..."
You looked over to find Bucky watching you intensely. Your heart began pounding as he leaned towards you. You had wanted to kiss him so many times but chickened out at every opportunity.
"Yes, Bucky?" You said after he didn't move or say anything else.
He paused, his gaze flickering down to your lips. Your heart skipped a beat, and you leaned so that your faces were just inches apart.
After an agonizing thirty seconds. He finally closed the gap between your lips. Whatever nervousness or awkward tension you had felt before was now gone. Kissing him felt natural, like you'd done it a thousand times before.
His hands quickly tangled into your hair, and your own hands rested on his chest and on the back of his neck. You wished you could move closer, but that was difficult to do while in a car.
He kissed you with a surprising amount of passion, and you were left flustered and breathless, your lips slightly swollen and red.
The ride was quiet and peaceful. It had been a few weeks since Grogu had left with Luke to continue his Jedi training. While both Mando and I missed him terribly, I had to admit it was much more quiet and less chaotic.
Grogu was always getting into trouble. I couldn't help but smile at the thought of the little green guy. I hoped he was doing okay, wherever he was.
The Mandolorian clicked a few buttons on the control panel of the Razorcrest and the ship switched into autopilot.
"Get some rest," Mando advised, glancing over his shoulder to look at me.
I nodded and leaned back in my seat. As I closed my eyes, I thought about everything. I had not seen his face when he removed his helmet for Grogu. I hadn't been there, but I wished that I had. I didn't even know his real name.
But I knew that I loved him.
Over the months we had grown close. Well, about as close as we could without me ever seeing his face or knowing his true identity.
————
I strapped a blaster to my hip with a sigh. We had received word of someone attacking a city on a nearby planet. The local law enforcement were too frightened to do anything and whatever or whoever it was had taken the city hostage.
"I'll land the ship just outside the city. We'll go in together," Mando told me in his deep voice.
"Land the ship further out and let me go in alone," I suggested as I slipped a knife into my boot. "While I'm distracting them, you can sneak in and we can take them by surprise."
I heard a heavy sigh coming from him.
"It's too dangerous." He walked back towards the cockpit.
I followed him, trying to think of a way to persuade him to my plan. It worked out perfectly in my head. I sat down in the copilot's chair.
He took his own seat and guided the ship towards the city.
"It'll work, and you know it," I insisted.
"You're stubborn."
"I'm right," I protested. I never understood why he was always so reluctant to let me help. He didn't have to save the day by himself all the time. "If they see the ship, they'll immediately start shooting."
"No. I won't let you go in alone," he said firmly.
"Why not?" I asked, raising my voice this time.
"Because," Mando snapped. "It's too risky to send you in alone. They could kill you on sight."
I released a huff of annoyance but made no further arguments. Maybe he was right. They could shoot me as soon as I walked into the city and not take me hostage as I had planned. I still doubted it, but I would go along with the Mando's idea.
He landed the ship just outside the city walls and the two of us made our way towards the exit.
Just as I suspected, we were immediately shot at. I took cover behind a crate of supplies inside the Razorcrest.
I peered around and shot at one of our attackers then looked at the man in beskar armor a few feet away. He had taken cover behind another crate.
"Who are they?" I asked, hoping he had some answer.
"Probably marauders." He had to shit over he sounds of blasters going off. "Cover me." He wheeled around and began walking down the ramp of the ship.
And he complained about me being too risky. I used the edge of the crate to steady my arm and began shooting at the looters raiding the city. One of the them darted out to attack the Mandolorian, but I quickly shot him down as well.
We moved into the city at a slow pace, but soon the law enforcement was helping us and we made quick progress. I could see why the police had been too nervous to intervene before. Their blasters were primitive compared to what the marauders carried.
Finally, the streets seemed to be clear of the attackers. I smiled and put my blaster back into its holster. I had to admit, Mando's plan had worked after all.
I was about to turn to him and say something when I was knocked to the ground.
There were shouts all around me and flashes as blasters went off.
Searing pain spread throughout my shoulder. I carefully reached over and touched the area, immediately regretting it. I winced and pulled my hand away. Blood coated my fingers. My vision blurred and I tried to blink until it was clear, but it did nothing.
Mando suddenly appeared above me. He kneeled on the ground beside me.
"Did you kill the shooter?" I mumbled.
"Y-Yes," he replied. His voice shook.
Why was his voice shaking?
I couldn't dwell on this long because he was suddenly pressing on the wound. I screamed in pain and clawed at his arm in a desperate attempt to get him to stop.
"I have to stop the bleeding," he told me. He looked around and shouted something I couldn't understand, then looked back at me. "Stay awake, Y/N."
His name was the last thing I heard before losing consciousness.
————
When I awoke, I had a pounding headache. I opened my eyes and squinted at the bright light. I looked at my surroundings. I was in my cot on the Razorcrest.
I slowly lifted my head. Pain shot through my shoulder so I paused before moving again. Eventually, I got myself up into a sitting position. An IV was in my arm. I wrinkled my nose and looked away from it. Needles made me nauseous.
I tried to remember what had happened, but after I was shot almost everything was black.
I was in the process of standing up when the door to my small room opened and the Mandolorian appeared. I could visibly see his body relax then grow tense again.
"You shouldn't be up," he scolded. He moved to be quickly and gently settled me back onto the bed.
"I'm fine," I said. I sat back down, but didn't lay on my back again. I was hurting but not completely helpless.
He sat down in the small chair near the bed. "I'm sorry. It's my fault you were shot. I should have been more careful."
I stared at him in shock and shook my head. "It's not your fault. No one saw that shooter. It could have happened to any of us."
"But it happened to you."
I stared into his mask, wishing I could see his face. "Thank you for saving me," I said softly.
He shrugged lightly. "A doctor in the village helped."
Flashes of memories slowly came back to me. I remembered Mando scooping me up and carrying me back to the Razorcrest. I remembered his panicked shouts and how he barked orders for someone to help me.
"Thank you," I said again. It was quiet for a moment. "Why were you so worried about me?"
He seemed at a loss for words. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"You know what I mean." I shifted and tried to ignore the pain in my shoulder. I'd have to lay down again soon.
"I didn't like to see you hurt," he answered.
It was a simple statement, but I felt that there was more behind it. I reached out and brushed my fingers against the chest of his armor.
Slowly, he reached up. I thought he was going to push me away so I froze. But he left my hand and moved to his helmet instead. There was a small click and he took the helmet off.
I looked into wear his mask was and found the most beautiful pair of deep brown eyes staring back at me. Too shocked to do or say anything, I just stared.
"I was worried because I love you," he said, looking into my eyes.
Before I lost the courage, I leaned forward and planted a kiss on his perfect lips.
I was breathless as I pulled away from the kiss. Anakin pressed me up against the wall and his lips traveled down my neck.
We were in his room on the ship. He had R2 directing the ship so we could have a moment alone together.
"You know, when I said I wanted a minute alone with you, I meant for us to talk," I said breathlessly.
He pulled his lips away from neck for just a moment to speak. "But isn't this so much better?" He gave me a charming smirk and returned his mouth to the delicate skin of my neck.
I couldn't argue with that. My fingers tangled into his hair and I sighed softly in pleasure.
Anakin's hands slipped under my shirt and I gasped at the coldness of his metal hand. He murmured an apology.
I used my own hands to cup his face and guide his lips back to mine. His tongue slipped into my mouth and glided against my own, sending fireworks throughout my body.
His fingertips brushed the skin of lower back before his hands traveled lower. He gripped the back of my thighs and hoisted my up so I could wrap my legs around his waist.
The room was small, so he only had to take a couple of steps forward and we reached the bed. We collapsed onto it, him on top of me and my legs still around his waist.
Anakin sat up and removed his shirt, revealing his tone chest. The sight of it made me even more excited.
————
We finally emerged from the room about thirty minutes later. I did my best to straighten my hair and ruffled appearance.
"My, my Miss Y/L, you're a mess!" C-3PO exclaimed as soon I step foot outside the door.
Anakin was just behind me and one glance at him told me he was rather flustered.
I shifted nervously and put on a smile. "Oh, yes, I know."
"What were you two doing? You were making an awful lot of noise," 3PO asked.
My face turned a deep shade of red and I was suddenly very grateful that no one else was on the ship.
There was a low buzz as I gripped my bright red lightsabers in each of my hands. I twirled them around in my hands and widened my stance a bit.
Kylo Ren stood several yards in front of me, an arrogant smile painted on his face that matched my own. "Don't get too cocky now, Y/N," he said, swinging his own lightsaber in his hands. "Remember where that got you last time."
I glared at the memory. The last time we sparred together ended with me flat on my back. But since then I had been gifted another lightsaber. Two were perfect for dueling.
"Shut up and let's fight," I grumbled. Slowly, we began to circle each other. His steps matched mine and we studied each other carefully. My first instinct was to immediately launch an attack, but I remembered what my master had told me.
My anger was useful, but only when paired with patience. I could not blindly attack before I had evaluated the situation.
Kylo surged forward and brought up his saber in an attempt to hit. I brought up both of my arms and the weapons hissed and crackled as they met Kylo's.
His face was intense as he pushed, trying to break the firm block I was holding.
I held for as long as I could, but he was strong. I pulled one of my arms away and used the weapon on my other hand to continue holding his saber away. With my now free arm, I swung my other lightsaber at his side.
Of course, I did not actually plan to hit him. I would stop if he did not move away in time- which he did. He stepped backwards quickly.
It was my turn to go onto the attack now. I took this opportunity and launched, swinging the lightsaber in my left hand at him. He brought up his own weapon and barely blocked my hit just as I was swinging my other lightsaber at him.
Just as my master had advised, I used my anger to my advantage. I built up my frustrations just for these moments. I allowed all my anger to release during a fight.
Kylo stumbled backwards, barely avoiding a hit from my weapon.
I couldn't help but smirk. Master would be proud of me for that even if I didn't win the duel.
I swung again, aiming for the hilt of his weapon. It landed and his red lightsaber when skittering across the floor. He looked at me and I thought I saw a glimmer of fear in his eyes before they darted to his weapon several feet away.
He started to make a run for it so I brought up my leg and landed a kick squarely into his side. The impact knocked him to the ground and before he could even make a move to get up, I had my savers pointed at his throat.
He stared up at me, his dark eyes wide with shock as I stood triumphantly over his defeated form.
I stared blankly at the screen on the monitor beside me. Displayed on it was the child growing inside of me. The doctor had told me I was about fourteen weeks along.
My gaze slowly traveled to the doctor who had asked the question. "No one," I said.
The signs had been there for weeks but I had tried to ignore them. And I did until Anakin found me throwing up in the toilet.
When I arrived at my apartment in Coruscant, Anakin was there. I sighed and closed the door behind me.
"That key I gave you was only for emergencies," I told the padawan. He was my best friend and the only person I could trust with this.
He ignored my statement and rose from his place on the couch. "Well? What did the doctor say?"
I stood there, staring down at the hardwood floors of my apartment. The doctor had told me to eat healthy and take my vitamins. Told me that my due date was in twenty six weeks.
Tears started streaming down my face. Seeing this, Anakin quickly crossed the room and enveloped me in his arms. I buried my face into his shoulder and the softness of his Jedi robes as he soothingly rubbed my back.
Neither of us spoke a word for a while. When I stopped crying, he helped me over to the couch and covered me in a blanket.
"I'll make you some tea," he offered. He left for the kitchen before I could accept or decline.
I had always wanted children. I loved the idea of raising little ones and being a parent. But when I thought of having kids I also thought of getting married. I had wanted to marry before I had children.
Anakin returned with a cup of tea, which I gingerly took from his hands. He remained quiet and watched as I sipped from the cup.
The tea helped to clear my mind and calm my stomach. I leaned forward, setting the cup on the coffee table in front of the couch.
"Are you going to tell Obi-Wan?" Anakin asked quietly.
I froze then leaned back in my seat, pulling the blanket up over my shoulders. "Why should I?"
"He's the father, is he not?" Anakin's brow furrowed.
"He's a Jedi," I reminded my friend. Obi-Wan and I had agreed to end our relationship because of Jedi rules, but not before having one more magical night together. That night was what put me in this situation.
"The Jedi council will never find out the child is his, but Obi-Wan has a right to know," Anakin argued.
I couldn't meet his eyes. Obi-Wan should know he had a child, but I knew it would only make him feel worse for breaking the Jedi code. "Anakin, I need you to do me a favor."
"Anything," he replied eagerly.
"Take me back to Mandalore," I asked. I couldn't stay on Coruscant, so close to the man I loved but could never have. Going back home to Mandalore was the solution. My cousin, Satine, could help me with the child.
"What about your job?" He asked, referring to my position at the library in the Jedi temple.
"I will go in tomorrow and resign," I said. I spoke quickly and steadily, hoping my voice would not waver and betray my true feelings.
"What about Obi-Wan?"
I pushed the blanket off and stood up, unable to sit there and discuss this any longer. "Tell him I had urgent matters back home." Before he had a chance to respond, I went into my bedroom and locked the door behind me.
————
The last person I wanted to see ended up being the first person I ran into the next day at the Jedi temple.
"Master Kenobi, I'm sorry." I used his formal title in order to prevent any personal feelings from bubbling up.
"Y/N." He stared at me for a moment with those gorgeous blue eyes of his. "It's alright."
I gave a nod and walked away. If I stopped and talked for too long I would break. Besides, if he found out why I was here he would ask questions.
————
I said beside Anakin in the cockpit of his ship. For the majority of the trip to Mandalore, we were both silent.
"I know you don't agree with my decision," I said.
"Don't agree?" Anakin repeated. "I hate your decision. I think it's foolish."
I sighed at his words. "It broke Obi-Wan to go against the Jedi code while we were together. If he found out about the child it would make things worse."
"He won't care about the code. He loves you."
I ran a hand through my hair and blinked away tears. "He does, Anakin," I said. "It's not as simple as you think."
Anakin didn't respond, ending all conversation until we landed on the planet.
He stood up and held out a hand to me, helping me out of my seat. It was a simple gesture, but it meant a lot coming from him. It meant he didn't entirely hate me.
I stood at the exit of the ship, but didn't walk out yet. "Promise me something, Anakin."
He looked at me with a sad expression and nodded.
"Promise me you won't ever tell a soul about this."
Anakin wrapped me into a tight hug and didn't say anything for several moments. I was just about to let go when I finally spoke.
"I promise."
————
Satine was kind enough to let me stay with her. We were close as children but when we grew up, we went our separate ways. It felt nice to be back and resume my friendship with her.
Over the course of my pregnancy, she asked questions. I dodged all of them and eventually she learned to stop asking, although I think she had her suspicions.
The baby came. A beautiful baby girl. She had her father's eyes and my hair.
————
I walked through Satine's palace with my baby, Artemis, in my arms. She liked to go for walks with me when she was upset.
As I walked I heard a set of voices emerging from a nearby room. I stopped, afraid I was going to disturb a meeting, but then I heard Satine's voice followed by laughter.
Carefully, I made my way towards the door. It was ever so slightly ajar so I peered inside.
"Y/N!" Satine's voice cheerfully greeted. "Come in, we have visitors."
Smiling, I pushed the door open with my elbow and stepped into the room. My eyes settled on Anakin and my smile grew. "Ani, I didn't know you were coming. I'm so happy to see you!"
My smile quickly faded when I saw a brief panicked look pass over his face. I looked behind him.
Obi-Wan rose from the chair he had been sitting in. His gaze traveled from me to the baby in my arms.
"Obi-Wan..." I said. I forced a smile onto my face. "I'm glad you're hear."
All was silent until Anakin uncomfortably cleared his throat. "Satine, would you show me the shipment of food for the school that you wanted inspected?"
Satine turned her confused gaze from me to Anakin and nodded. She smiled and headed towards the door.
"I'll come too," Obi-Wan said.
A small sigh of relief escaped me.
"No, no," Satine said quickly. "Your padawan and I can handle this. Stay here and keep my cousin company."
With that, my best friend and my cousin left the room. The tension immediately returned to my body. It had been nearly a year since I was last alone in a room with Obi-Wan.
He was the first to speak. "I didn't know you had a child."
I looked over at him to see he was smiling. "Yes, I do." The awkward tension was palpable.
"What's her name?" He asked politely.
"Artemis."
The room fell silent once more. When the silence did break, it was me who spoke this time.
"Would you like to see her?" I blurted out. My heart began to race as I watched him nod and slowly cross the room to me. His gaze only left mine when he finally did reach me.
I carefully handed the baby to him. She was only a couple months old and still so small. She opened her eyes when she felt the shift and stared up at Obi-Wan.
My mind raced. I had dreamed of what my life could have been had I not kept this secret from him. I had thought about going back to Coruscant so many times, but never did. I always told myself it was for the best. But I never imagined it would Obi-Wan coming back to me.
"She has blue eyes," he commented. He glanced up at me with a smile.
"Just like her father," I said softly. Part of me hoped he would figure it out but the other part never wanted him to.
He was quiet and slowly his head tilted upwards so he was looking into my eyes once more. "She's mine... isn't she?"
Tears began to pool in my eyes. I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came out so I simply nodded.
Without a word, he handed the baby back to me. I expected him to shout and scream at me. He had every right to.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He whispered. His eyes were glimmering with tears.
The sight of him so hurt broke me and my own tears spilled from my eyes. "B-because I t-thought you wouldn't want the council to find out." I sniffled and my body shook. "You had already broken the code just by being with me. If they found out you had fathered a child as well, they would have been furious."
He didn't say anything, so I kept talking.
"I didn't want you to have to leave the order. They're your family. You love it."
Without a word to me, he turned and left the room in a hurry. A choked sob escaped from my throat and I silently cursed Satine and Anakin for leaving me alone with him.
————
"So he knows?" Anakin asked.
He had returned later that afternoon and we were now both standing in my room.
"Yes he knows." I replied. "Why would you leave me alone with him? I can't believe you." He was my best friend, but I was furious.
"Because it was time you two face each other," Anakin retorted. "Whether he found out about Artemis or not. It's killing you both to go about pretending nothing was ever going on between you two."
I knew it was killing me, but had Obi-Wan really missed me all that time?
I was about to respond when there was a knock on the door. Anakin moved to answer it before I could even react.
In the doorway, stood a very upset looking Obi-Wan. He looked surprised to see Anakin there. "Can I speak to Y/N alone?" He asked.
Neither of them gave me a chance to respond. Anakin nodded and stepped out of my room, closing the door behind him.
He looked at me with intense eyes and didn't speak for a moment. His mouth opened. Then closed. Then opened again. "I am angry with you."
"I know," I whispered. He had every right to be angry with me. I had kept his own daughter away from him instead of letting him have a chance to be there. My face fell. I couldn't look at him after what I had done.
"But Jedi are not supposed to let their anger build up," he continued. "We forgive." He slowly crossed the room to me and put his hand on my chin, tilting my face upwards.
I stared at him with wide eyes. His touch sent my heart racing as he brushed the tears off my face.
"I forgive you," he went on. "And I understand why you made that decision, although I do not agree with it."
I was frozen in my place. I tried to find words, but nothing came out.
"I want to be in her life. In your life."
"Obi-Wan, the Jedi." He cut me off before I could say more.
"We can hide it from them. And if they do find out, then so be it. I would rather have you," he said softly.
It was your first date with Steve. You still couldn't believe he had even asked you out.
You had dressed in a cute yellow sweater and a pair of skinny jeans. It was winter and Steve suggested that the two of you go ice skating for your date. You stupidly agreed even though you had no idea how to skate.
You thought you could pick it up easily once you got there. Little did you know, you were wrong.
The ice skating rink was set up around a series of frozen ponds in the park. It was starting to get dark and Christmas lights were turning on. They were strung throughout the trees, creating a beautiful setting for a date. Steve has picked out a good place. If only you could figure out how to skate.
You gripped Steve's arm tightly, trying desperately not to fall on the cold ice, as you already had three times that day. Any other time, you would have noticed how muscular his arm was and felt butterflies at being this close to him, but you were too busy trying not to fall.
"You're doing a great job," Steve encouraged. He looked at you with a warm smile. He was too kind.
"Not really, but thank you." You chuckled and loosened your grip on his arm a bit, determined to make it on your own. Your feet wobbled a bit for a moment, but you managed to steady yourself. With a triumphant smile, you loosened your grip even more, now only holding onto the fabric of his coat.
You had worried that you would bother him by constantly holding on, but he didn't seem to mind. In fact, he rather seemed to enjoy having you close by.
Steve, being an expert skater, moved in front of you and skated backwards. He wore a wide grin as he watched you learning to skate.
"Show off." You rolled your eyes playfully and smiled at him. This side of Steve was nice. He was almost childlike as he skated. You rarely ever saw him loosen up and enjoy himself. He was usually so focused on missions.
You felt yourself growing a little more confident- too confident. You stopped concentrating on the ice below you, causing you to slip and fall forwards. Fortunately, your date was there to catch you. He was just in time, stopping you before you face planted into the ice.
You stared at the ground, wide eyed for a moment, relieved you hadn't fallen. Then you looked up to thank him, but stopped when you found his handsome face already watching yours.
"Are you alright?" He asked gently, his brow furrowed in concern.
You had always noticed how attractive he was, but it struck you differently in that moment. You were close together. He held you in his arms and got you back to your feet, watching your face the entire time. His blue eyes flowed in the lighting.
"I'm okay," you said finally. Your eyes flickered down to his lips for a brief moment.
He opened his mouth to say something, then stopped. He paused before finally speaking. "May I kiss you?"
You hadn't expected him to ask. Most people nowadays just go in for the kiss and hope for the best. You figured his asking was a result of the era he grew up in. You found it cute and charming.
With a smile, you nodded and leaned forwards ever so slightly. After a few seconds, his lips met yours in a gentle and feather-like kiss.
