one funny thing about school libraries here is that it's recommended to have one school librarian per 300 students which is already a lot but since public schools don't have any money they can only afford to hire one (1) school librarian per school where the minimum amount of students often is around 800-900. you see the problem. the math not mathing. and then people have the audacity to be all like oh being a school librarian must be so nice i bet all you do is read for the kids no all i do is trying to survive please

#i do love my job i don't want to do anything else #but god. people don't get it.#also. we're underfunded and swept aside as unimportant so often.#the kids can't read! they don't know how to search for information! they use ai/chatgpt for everything!#anywaysssssssss
