imagine you're an aspiring young DRIVER who everyone agrees is a PROMISING future CHAMPION and you've dreamed of making it to FORMULA 1 and then one day you finally do except you get picked up by a DECLINING team named WILLIAMS who had glory days in the past but is now a BACKMARKER and you're put to drive a SHITBOX and this goes on for the first THREE YEARS of your career to the point that you get completely WRITTEN OFF by the general public but then you get signed by MERCEDES to be able to show what you're made of but their car is also NOT GREAT at first and also you become teammates with a SEVEN TIME WORLD CHAMPION who everyone says will EAT YOU ALIVE but you don't care because you know what you're capable of and this goes on for THREE YEARS where you are consistently OUTDRIVING the car you're given and even OUTPERFORM your GOATED teammate who then leaves the team in SPECTACULAR FASHION after three seasons together and you're actually grateful because you LEARNED a LOT from HIM but you are READY and you are HUNGRY and your own TEAM PRINCIPAL doesn't seem to have a lot of FATE in you but now after coming out of back to back DOMINANCE by a certain RED BULL driver a NEW ERA of REGULATIONS is about to enter and EVERYBODY says MERCEDES is the CAR to BEAT and YOU are the one DRIVING IT. happened to my good buddies NICO ROSBERG and GEORGE RUSSELL

I've become addicted to webweaves I can't stop making them. I don't think this one's as good as my first but I really like the concept. I do have some ideas for webweaves that aren't brocedes and some that aren't F1 related, but for now:

brocedes lore is crazy. what do you mean nico interviewed alain prost on his podcast. they talk, they laugh, and then, when nico is wrapping the discussion up, as if it's nothing, prost says he hopes nico and lewis can make amends. the world goes on for everyone but nico. he is half-dead on the battlefield, struck through the heart, vision curling around the edges.

he chokes down the shock. he manages to say--oh, yeah, i'd be open to that, casually, as if he isn't split in two, as if the wound is not still fresh. then he begs the wizened old champion to tell him how does someone make amends with their former rival. 'doesn't someone need to apologise first?' his voice caught between bone-deep anxiety and yearning, between the need to keep his composure and the desperate hope that maybe it isn't too late for him to reconcile with lewis.

someone on twitter said that Nico's championship felt more like a funeral, and like...

what if he stood on that podium, trying to feel joy about his win, looking at Lewis, who can barely look at him, realising that all the sacrifice, the pain, the loss, in the end, wasn't worth it?

because the entire time he was focused on achieving that one goal that his dad, Lewis, other peers had achieved and that he thought was everything he ever wanted, but the moment he got there it was... well, amazing, surely, but definitely not everything.

the whole time he thought "no matter how much this sucks, no matter what i have to put myself and everyone around me through, in the end it will all be worth it", so he waited for that feeling that justified it all, that excused it all, to come, but it didn't.

and so, yes. what was supposed to be the best day of his life ended up feeling like a funeral, in many ways.
