Just WOW
Draco's real archenemy wasn't Harry. It was Ron.
So in the books most encounters with Malfoy start with him mocking Ron or Ron's family. Naturally Draco hates Harry because he was taught to hate him by his family after failed attempt to become friends with him. But notice that Harry didn't just refuse Draco. He picked Ron over him.
Ron, who was all the things Draco despised - poor, with old clothes and books, "not worthy of being pure-blood", and who was all the things Draco wanted - unconditionally loved, cared for, a part of a real family and, of course, Harry Potter's best friend. Draco was jealous of Ron. That's why he was constantly making fun of the only thing Ron didn't have and did everything in his power to piss him off.
Of course Harry was often the one being mocked but I think it was more to anger Ron and gain popularity than to hurt Harry. Being Harry Potter's enemy was a cover. The real thing was between Draco and Ron, who never even realized it.
In Prisoner of Azkaban (book) during the first Divination lesson, professor Trelawney told Parvati Patil to be wary of "a ginger man". Now I wonder if that's the reason it was Parvati who went to Yule Ball the next year with Harry, because she was STILL wary of Ron
Being born on 5th of June, Draco Malfoy is the only known Gemini from the hp universe and that honestly explains so much
When Harry sees Pettigrew on the map in 3rd movie, there's this room there called The Room of Doom. I wonder what's in there
mood: Ron laying down his owl on a counter and saying "pathetic"
Why Ron Weasley was a great friend
I noticed some people say that Ron isn’t that great, because of his low moments in 4th and 7th book.
But consider this.
He had extreme anxiety and felt like he was never enough.
All of his siblings were somehow special - Bill was a prefect and a head boy and one of the best curse breakers, Charlie was a talented dragonologist, Percy was a prefect and a perfect student, George and Fred were fun, creative and intelligent and everyone loved them, Ginny was the only girl, the youngest, and she was beautiful, popular and a Quidditch player.
Ron was there feeling like there’s nothing special about him.
Then he saw this scared boy in oversized clothes and no real family and immediately invited him to join his. Adding another special member.
He was friends with “the boy who lived” and “brightest witch of her age”. Both of them were pretty special. And Ron was there by their sides, pushing his anxiety aside for the sake of his friends.
Even when he became prefect and made it to Quidditch team and had really good grades - he still felt like it wasn’t anything special.
In fourth year, that anxiety told him that Harry put his name in the goblet of fire, even when deep down he knew Harry wouldn’t do it. When Ron saw his friend in danger, his loyalty immediately beat his insecurities, and he went and apologized.
In seventh year, that anxiety combined with medalion told him that his brilliant friends didn’t need him. He wasn’t anything special, right? And he was hurt and useless. So he listened to the evil voices and left. After medalion stopped affecting him, loyalty immediately won again and he tried to come back.
Ron Weasley stood by his friends despite his anxiety, his insecurities, his fears. He stood by them when he wanted to be with his family to protect them in times of danger.
Ron Weasley as a friend reminds me of Sam Gamgee, who not only stood by his friend to the very end, but carried him when he couldn’t walk on his own and was prepared to die for him.
Just like Ron was prepared to die for Harry and Hermione after knowing them for just a few months.
also, can I add that Ron's biggest fear are spiders and he goes with Harry to forbidden forest following spiders while being 12 and having no way of defending himself due to broken wand? I literally run away when I see a lil spider but Ron stood in front of the biggest spider ever (and like 10000 very big ones around) until Harry decided to go??
I'm watching Chamber of Secrets and I'm kinda surprised how loosely basilisk's fangs were attached that one of them just got stuck in Harry's arm???

Imagine going through all the trouble to become animagus only to find out your animal form is a fish
I just rewatched Fantastic Beasts and I have a question: why wasn't president Picquery immediately removed from her position after they discovered that Grindelwald was fucking around MACUSA for Merlin knows how long?? I mean, not noticing that and letting him access important stuff is a pretty big oopsie
have u seen what american politics is like??? more so, have u seen how incompetent every minister of magic ever has been?? frankly the fact that she wasn’t fired might just be the most realistic part of the movie.
you know what, you're absolutely right. if Fudge wasn't fired after his first day then what was I expecting lmao

and let's not forget she had a super powerful Legilimens - Queenie - employed as a fucking maid/servant/idk instead of like, having her scan minds of people who go into MACUSA. i mean, wouldn't she immediately know who he is? before he had a chance to convince her to anything? Picquery wasn't very good at her job

Is Pottermore undecided or am I weird? - a novel by me I took all the tests 4 times and I got 4 different Hogwarts houses, 4 different Patronuses, 4 different wands and 2 different Ilvermorny houses. WHO AM I
why Harry started to see thestrals after he saw Cedric die, I mean he saw his parents die earlier??
