• Standing up for each other no matter what

• Hanging out in the dungeons

I hope you guys realize that the Stranger things kids are still very young and haven’t matured all the way yet and they’re probably at some point going to do some things that aren’t so great and say things that aren’t so great and when that happens I hope you guys don’t ridicule them or tear them down because they’re still learning just like we were at that age

Just like Slughorn, Albus Dumbledore collects people. Only, instead of focusing on those with influence, he looks to the outcasts.

The expelled half-giant. The young werewolf. The repentant Death Eater.

He protects them and gives them a second chance. All he asks in return is their loyalty.

And, if on occasion he requests that they undertake a certain task, invoking their debt of gratitude - well, that is no more than he is owed.

He once thought to add a certain disowned Black to his collection, but quickly realised his mistake.

Sirius is not an outcast, but a rebel. He knowingly chose his path, and chooses what price he is willing to pay for it. He refuses to be used.

So Albus Dumbledore abandons him.

Nooonono, my friend, that’s what makes this post so beautiful. Because it fits the meta I’ve been trying to get people to accept for years. 

Harry was an outcast due to a childhood filled with abuse and neglect. 

Vernon made him an outcast by dismissing his claims of magic, berating him, locking him in a CLOSET and putting bars on his window, and let’s face it, even though her editor made her cut it out, Jo intended for there to be physical abuse. 

Petunia made him an outcast by enabling and contributing to this abuse, as well as making Harry do dozens of chores while doting on Dudley. 

Dudley made him an outcast by bullying him and threatening any students at school who wanted to be his friends. 

And the rest of the wizarding world made him an outcast when they bullied him for being an outsider.

Harry James Potter became an outcast the moment he was placed with The Dursleys.

And who put him there in the first place?

where ron and hermione get their first house together and it just so happens to have a cupboard under the stairs. so ginny and harry come over for a house warming or whatever and ron goes hey harry come look at this and he pulls harry into the hallway and goes “here’s your room for the night” and just opens the cupboard for harry.

Opposite headcanon: Ron spends the whole visit trying to keep Harry away from that part of the house. Finally, Harry sees what Ron has been avoiding showing him. Ron looks horrified and ashamed of himself.

“I didn’t want to show you until I could get a chance to change it. I’m going to take that all out and put up a shelving unit for all the photos of the family and such…”

Harry begins to tear up. “That is a wonderful idea.” Together they plan the huge project, completely without magic. Just so they can physically get rid of that awful memory.

As the owner of the original post, I'd like to clarify: I think Ron and Harry's friendship is extremely underrated and is a beautiful thing, and I know Ron would never do something to deliberately hurt Harry who's a brother to him. This being said, Ron is an arse. A good arse. And I think Harry would know that Ron isn't trying to hurt him, since Harry knows Ron would never purposely hurt him in anyway, but I think Harry would catch on to this joke and most likely punch Ron in the shoulder and they'd laugh over it because that's the friendship I believe they have.

If you don't agree, that's perfectly ok, but please realize I'm not trying to "make a joke" out of child abuse and neglect. I know that Harry was extremely neglected in the Dursley household, but this is a headcannon, a shower thought, something that made me laugh and I thought it could make other people laugh.

I ask that if you don't like my headcannon, to please ignore me, block me even, or message me personally and try to talk to me about it. I don't want people who find this funny, which is fine, to feel like they're a bad person because the thought made them laugh.

Please don't take offense to this, I'm not trying to be disrespectful or sassy, I'm just attempting to clarify.
