Quando Sundae

Sure its unfriendly looking, but it sure tastes good!

After theorizing flavors, I have made this vegan ice cream for the hotter weather.

Ingredients

1 dragon fruit, flesh removed, peel discarded

1/2 tsp vanilla

4 c plain almond milk

1/3 c date sugar

1/2 c sugar

blueish purple dye (optional)

Puree and add to an ice cream maker.

WHAT DOES THIS TASTE LIKE? (Qando Fruit)

After spinning the wheel to see what land I am stuck in for Neopets, I took another look at Qasalan food.

This is the Qando Fruit. It has no descriptors other than "sweet" from other dishes. It is used in ice cream, breads, and fruit punch. Additionally, it appears to be grilled in direct heat on meat skewers and is also a pizza topping??

When I think "fruit that you grill" my immediate thoughts are peaches and pineapples. Neither are found in desert climates, though.

Based on the climate and the shape, it is likely a cactus fruit like prickly pear or dragon fruit. The sweetness sound more like dates, though.

I wonder how dragon fruit ice cream tastes... maybe sweetened with date sugar.

Strawberry Cybunny Cookies

Fresh strawberries were blended into the cookie mix for this extra fruity treat

Turns out I don't have my rabbit cookie cutter anymore. Oh well! Squirrels are close enough, I guess.

Ingredients

3/4 c butter

2 tbs shortening

1/2 c sugar

1/2 powdered freeze-dried strawberries (I powdered them myself)

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1 3/4 c flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking powder

Recipe

Cream sugar, butter, shortening, and strawberry powder in a bowl.

Mix in the egg and extract.

Add flour, salt, and baking powder.

Let cool for 2 hrs or over night.

Roll out and cut.

Bake at 325* for about 10 to 12 minutes. Time varies on your cookie cutter.

I see that even after a nice hiatus I still have my natural affinity for bad photography. Pinker in person.

This is like a quality boost in those cake cookies. The strawberry is more pervasive and less synthetic than a box. Big step up! Saved for next X-mas Cookie batch.

This pie sounds delicious. A blue custard topped with yellow stars. I could do a shortbread crust and use the extras to top. Blueberry custard with lemon shortbread could work, so long as the blueberries don't curdle the milk. I could probably use oatmilk, which would avoid the curdling altogether. Or honey stars with a blackberry custard? It wouldn't be as blue.

Love the humor in the Drakara pancake given the plot development.

Not that I'd be doing pancake art, but I bet it'd be a chocolate cinnamon pancake to represent her dark and fire faerie backgrounds.

The eyes are definitely chocolate chips! It is a little thick for a pancake... I've always wanted to try a rice cooker pancake, though!

Land Lubber

A fruity, yet potent drink that will soon have you singing sea shanties.

This small variation on an AMF is perfect for a hot afternoon in the sun!

Ingredients

1/2 oz gin (I used indigo for color)

1/2 oz vodka

1/2 oz run

1/2 oz blanco tequila

1/2 oz blue Curacao

2 oz sweet and sour mix

Lime Jarritos, to top (sprite is used in the original)

Recipe

Shake the liquors and sweet and sour mix in a shaker with ice. Strain into a tall glass filled with ice.

Top with lime soda. Use a bar spoon to mix carefully.

I never actually finished a single run of Baldur's Gate 3.

I have restarted many, many times, and I have gotten very far on each playthrough. I just hit a point of "oh, what if I played as *this* instead!" and rather than just changing classes, I start fresh.

I want to create the Land Lubber, a gourmet food from the Golden Dubloon on Krawk Island.

Here's what I have to work with:

A fruity, yet potent drink that will soon have you singing sea shanties

Compared to an Adios Motherfucker, it's a shade darker. The AMF is essentially a long island with sweet and sour mix + blue Curacao. It would certainly hit the potent part of the description, but not the fruity part. I might replace the run with coconut rum, and substitute pineapple soda for the seltzer water. I worry the extra yellow will make the drink green ish.
