"After being in hospital for god knows how long. A glimmer of hope and them BAM dead.â
"right, reality. Pain and truth and hurt. But... real." Wow his argument though valid was kind of morbid.Â

"An adorable face of lies and false dreams. At least I die in reality."Â

Places I shouldn't Be || John and Melissa (nursemamamccall)
"Just a graze my ass," she replied, a hand going to his uninjured arm. She kicked the door closed and locked the deadbolt before pushing him toward the kitchen. "Of course Iâm going to take a look. You sit down and stay put while I go grab the first aide kit.â She gave him a firm stare, her stern nurse face, before she hurried to grab the kit.Â
The kit was right where sheâd left it, under the sink of the first floor bathroom. She hurried back to the kitchen. âNow, how the hell did this happen? Working unsolved doesnât usually get you shot.â She set the kit on the table, unzipped it, and started to lay things out with practiced ease.Â
Melissa didnât mind patching him up - it wasnât the first time and it probably wasnât going to be the last - she just had to give him shit whenever it did happen. She was glad that he came to her, that he trusted her still even after sheâd kept the knowledge of werewolves from him.Â
John let himself get pushed towards the kitchen. He kicked himself for letting her be so worried. He did sit down though as ordered. That stare was more adorable then menacing. At least in his minds eye. He tried not to dwell on that.
He smiled when she came back. Though when she asked about the case the smile slide and he caught his gaze going to the side. He ignored the pain lancing through his arm as she worked to his best ability. It was a part of this encounter that was easy.
The hard part was the talking. "Well.. since.. " He coughed and caught a glance at Melissa, hoping to catch her eyes. "The boys told me about.. Everything. I.. Well I started digging."

What to do, When it all falls apart || John & Ghost!Claudia
Claudia felt herself tugged back to the house, though sheâd told herself she wasnât going to visit again that day. John didnât need to be reminded of her too often, it hurt as much as it helped.Â
She stopped to look in on their son. She watched him as he sat at his computer, interspersing bursts of frantic typing with unfocused staring and quick reading of whatever was on the screen. She didnât get too close, didnât want to interrupt him, but she wished she could touch him. Stiles was growing up so well, was finally starting to grow into his limbs, and she hated that she was missing it.
With one last fond look at the boy, she let herself drift to where she was needed. It was easy to phase through the door and see him there, wrapped around the pillow sheâd spritzed with her perfume. He looked so worn out, and her heart hurt.Â
"Oh John. Always pushing yourself too hard for too long." She stood at the end of the bed, watching him. She wished she could touch him, but she didnât think it would be a good idea.
John kept the pillow tight to his chest as he wrangled with his feelings. The fear of not knowing how to keep his son safe. The knowledge that he could very well lose the boy the same way. It was all to much for this one man.
He couldn't sleep like this. So he rolled himself out of the bed landing lightly on his feet. Pillow in his arms. The pillow got laid on the ground and he started doing push ups. Head to pillow and back.
When he was to tired to go on, he didn't know the count. He laid down on the hard floor, head into the pillow. His arms snaking up and around the pillow tightly. "You would know what to do." He said softly. "Now that he was to tired to go on the emotion roller coaster. He could just talk like she was here.
Places I shouldn't Be || John and Melissa (nursemamamccall)
Melissa wasnât asleep on the couch when she heard something at the door, but she was damn close to it. The television was still on, a lamp on in the corner, and she looked around a bit dazed. Was someone actually at the door or was that in her head?
Better safe than sorry, she pushed herself off of the couch and grabbed the baseball bat conveniently placed by the entryway. She hefted it easily, but held it down bay her side. It was easy to flip the deadbolt off the door but leave the chain on, and she pulled open the door slowly.
"May I hel- Oh my god, John!" She saw him with a towel pressed to his arm through the cracked open door. Melissa slammed the door shut and dropped her bat on the floor, fingers scrambling to free the chain from its catch. "Oh my god, get in here," she urged as she pulled the door open.Â
John just smiled when she opened the door. Though the smile faded at the sound of her dropping the bat and getting the chain off the door. He walked in calmly and put another smile on his face. He didn't want to freak her out.Â
"Hey.. I'm ok really. Just a graze..." He tried to play it off. Still holding the towel to his arm firmly. It throbbed like a bitch but he wasn't about to tell her that. She already look startled enough. Maybe he should have just figured out how to fix it at home.Â
"I was working a unsolved. Didn't want to put it in paper work. Could.. you take a look?" He shot her his best please look. He was already here. There was no denying that he might as well play out this plan. Since he already scared her.Â
What to do, When it all falls apart || John & Ghost!Claudia
Claudia lingered near her grave. She visited her stone often, not quite able to let go of it or her family. She watched her son grow, watched John crawl in and out of a bottle, watched things get better as they dealt with her death, and then saw things start to get worse. She knew what was going on, had known some of it when she was alive - Talia Hale had been one of her friends, after all.Â
She watched John lay a beautiful bunch of lilies at her stone from a distance. She stayed within earshot, listened to him pour his worries out to her stone, unaware that she was close. Sheâd seen some of it as it happened, but she couldnât stray too far from their home and the cemetery without getting woozy.Â
Claudia drifted closer as he started to walk away and rested her hand over where heâd placed the kiss on the stone with his fingers. âThatâs right, John,â she said softly. âStraight on âtil morning.â She looked up and watched as his cruiser pulled away. With a sad smile and a push of will, she flickered a few times before she left the cemetery to go to the home theyâd shared.
It always made her stumble when she jumped from one place to another, but she was strongest in the home sheâd purchased with her husband, the house theyâd had their son in. Claudia lightly touched picture frames as she made her way to the room theyâd shared. She let herself walk right through the closed bedroom door and to the dresser.
Thinking the most serene thoughts she was able, Claudia carefully pulled the top drawer open, the one that held little mementos from her life, and the small bottle of her favorite perfume. She lifted it and drifted toward the bed. With a soft smile, Claudia spritzed the perfume over his pillow, just enough to leave a lingering scent by the time he got home. She did it to let him know that she was around, that she heard him and was offering her support even though he couldnât see or hear her himself.
She kissed her fingers and pressed them to his pillow. âStraight on âtil morning,â she whispered. With a calming breath, Claudia returned the perfume to its drawer, closed it, and left the house.
It had been a long day. A long annoying day. He got into the house and stumbled his way to the stairs. He blinked to many times. It was well past midnight and his brain kinda told him to just lay down on the stairs. He didn't though.Â
He checked on Stiles. Yelled at he boy to go to bed. Then he went to his room. Uniform falling to the floor as he stepped into the shower in the master bath. He wanted to just sleep but, Â he needed to shower. After a day like today. Wash work away.Â
After that he pulled on his pajama pants and the white t-shirt. He remembered the talk about clothes on in bed with Claud as he did. She had been heavy in his thoughts today. The talk was about if she had to wear clothes to bed cause the little boy could see. He had to wear a shirt.Â
He face planted his pillow as he fell into bed. When that scent hit his face he felt tears hit is eyes. He arms wrapped up and around the pillow as he clung it to him. "I wish you where here..."Â

Places I shouldn't Be || John and Malissa(nursemamamccall)
He found himself shot. Well grazed really. He had been rather lucky in that. If that shotgun had hit him this would be very different. But he couldn't just go to the percent. He wasn't supposed to be looking into the unsolved cases.
But he was. Now that he had new eyes. It was coming all together, finally. It was just sad that that old mad didn't see that he was trying to help. He also found a new love of tree's.
Since he didn't want Special Agent McCall ruining his life. He found himself at Malissa's door. Slightly ironic he knew. Towel over a bloody arm as he kicked the door gently.
What to do, When it all falls apart || Drabble? Open... Feels
He walked up to a gravestone. He sighed when he read the name. Like he always did when he saw that name. He laid the dozen purple lilies on the grave. Not roses and knelt down. "Hi... Claud..." He gently rubbed the dust off the top of the stone.Â
"I.. Â didn't know who else to talk to. So, I thought I would talk to you. Stiles, he is having night terrors again. But.. Dammit,. Claud he isn't a little boy. I don't know how to fix it now. It's not as easy as doing a patrol around the house and having a fake tussle with the monster in the closet."
He bite his lip and took a breath. "And there are real monsters. Not metaphorically. Werewolves... and a crap what was it... A... crap..." He put his hand to his head. "Druid! Evil druid locked me in a basement. How do I save him from that?" Â
He chuckled to himself and smiled. As if he could see her face giving him that you know better look. "Yea.. I imagine the answer is I just do right? Straight on tell morning." He stood up when his walkie went off. After a quick interchange with the dispatcher he glanced at the stone. "Well.. Time to go to work. Love you." He placed a kiss to his fingers then to the top of the stone. Before walking back to his truck
