My name is Peter Anthony Stark (he/him), and yeah, I'm Tony freakin' Stark's son and Harley Keener's boyfriend. Remember Harley Keener, the 11 year old who saved Iron Man's life? Well, he grew up, and he's awesome and handsome and smart and did I mention handsome? Anyways, if you hurt him or his feelings, I'll break every bone in your body. Not scared of me? Try Spider-Man and a whole lotta Avengers, plus Pepper Potts, the coolest CEO ever (yes, she made me say that). But this isn't about him. Let's get back to yours truely.

Hey, it's the mod, @archerinthevents, here! This is my blog for Peter Stark (who only gets named as Spidey in some contexts because of the secret identity and yada yada), a variant of Tom's Peter, who's loosely based off of the au character from my AO3 series Peter Stark's Triple Life! As the storyline of the fic progresses, so does the character's storyline here! Every post is an open interaction unless stated otherwise!

Open roleplay—Abusive boyfriend AU

Tw: abusive relationship (emotional manipulation as well as physical violence). Pre-reveal (the reveal will get its part 2 soon I promise!!)

Peter's been dating Flash Thompson for a few months now. He thought it'd be fine, that all that bullying and stuff was behind them and that they could have a real, healthy relationship. That wasn't the case. He hits him, gaslights him, and holds the fact that he knows both of Peter's secrets as reasons why Peter can't break up with him. Besides that, it's better if Peter's the one getting hurt than someone else, right?

So he stays. He hides the bruises until they heal, and he keeps his feelings bottled up. No one sees him cry, and no one seems to notice the less than good effect Flash seems to have on him. He's getting home after a date one night, a bruise already forming around a reddened eye, and runs straight into someone. "Uh... Hi."

"shoot, gosh I'm so sorry I didn't see—" her eyes dart to the bruise forming.

"You're good, it was probably my fault," Peter answers. His hand immediately comes to the bruise. "I'm a clutz."

"are you okay? i saw bruises on your face" Lorna asked, her voice gentle

Peter nods quickly, rubbing at the bruise a little. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just a bruise. No big deal."

"did someone hurt you? it looks like a punch mark" she murmured gently

"Uh... A little bit," Peter answers quietly. "I got punched. It's no big deal, really, I'm fine."

Open RP! Symbiote!Winter AU (I’m going off vibes on this lowkey I haven’t seen the Venom movies)

When Bucky Barnes was captured by Hydra, along with the metal arm, they gave him a symbiote. It was easier to control him since they had already spent so long with the symbiote, promising it a perfect host. It was never really allowed near other assets due to its aggressive nature… when the symbiote retreated, Bucky was typically subdued, quiet.

Decades later, the Winter Soldier scrambles through the halls of a Hydra base as it’s raided. It snarls, symbiote around it as it lunges for the nearest person it can find.

Peter rapidly pulls back when it lunges at him, his mask lenses widening in startled surprise. "Woah-." He ducks, then launches himself at it.

The Symbiote grins, baring all of its teeth at Peter. “Aren’t you colorful…?” It chuckles and ducks under Peter, grabbing at his legs.

"Yep. You aren't." Peter yelps slightly as his legs are grabbed from under him, then tries to strike the symbiote's head. "I've never really liked black."

The Symbiote growls, about to mention that it’s actually dark blue, but the blow lands. It stumbles back, hissing, then a tendril shoots out from its back towards Peter.

"Woah, dude, what is that?" Peter stares at it, then ducks down to avoid the tendril after he's had just barely enough time to stand up.

Open RP - De Aging

Katie is finally on summer break, meaning she can actually focus on things that she's passionate about and she's very much enjoying it. She has been working on a project for SI for two weeks now, but that also means she's exhausted and isn't really paying attention to her surroundings. Because of that, she doesn't really notice when she accidentally bumps into one of her dad's desks, which must have activated something thats on it, but all she notices is a flash of light and a feeling of disorientation. The last thing she hears before she passes out is the door to the lab opening.

Peter walks into the lab, already half-absorbed in some schematics he's got pulled up on a tablet. "Hey, Katie, do you remember where I left the hex keys? I gotta make an edit to my suit." He's still looking down at his schematics when he almost trips over... a little kid. He startles slightly, catches the tablet before it can fall, and stares at the child. "Uh... How'd you get in here?"

Katie looks up at the boy staring at her with wide eyes. She's not really sure what happened. Katie slowly looks around the room trying to figure out where she was, it kinda looked like the lab in their home but it was different.

"I...I don't know. Who are you?" Katie asks trying to move away from the boy, but stumbles a bit because of the huge clothes she's in.

Peter looks the kid up and down, his eyes catching on her clothes - Katie's clothes. "Shit," he mutters, before looking at the girl's face again and studying it. Yep, definitely Katie.

He puts on a smile. "I'm Peter. A... friend of your dad's, sort of." He nods at her clothes. "Why don't we find something that fits you properly?"

Katie looks down at herself before looking up at Peter again. “Dad’s friend? I don’t know you, and where’s my dad? Where am I?”

Peter's breath stutters a little bit when Katie says she doesn't know him. "He's in a big meeting, and you're in his lab at the tower. I'm gonna watch you until he gets back, okay?"

"The tower? What tower? Why should I trust you, you could be lying?" Katie asks still confused.

"Uh..." Peter blinks a couple times, trying to think of a way to explain this. "How old are you?" She's probably not old enough for the Avengers to exist for her, but maybe she's older than she was when he accidentally time-travelled to her.

"I'm seven." Katie mumbles still looking around the room trying to figure out what's happening.

"Seven?" Peter heaves a small, relieved sigh. "Okay, so, remember how about a year ago your little brother time traveled to you from the future?"

"Ya, how do you know th...?" Katie gasps as she finally looks closely at the man.

"You're Peter? What?"

"Yeah, I'm Peter," Peter says, bending to kneel in front of her with a reassuring smile. "Trust me yet?"

Katie just nods a big smile on her face and rushes over to hug Peter luckily not falling.

“Did you come back to visit me Peter?”

"Uh... Not exactly, princess," Peter says, hugging her back. "Do you remember anything weird happening? Because five minutes ago you were eighteen."

“What? That makes no sense. I don’t know what happened, I just woke up here. Where are we?”

"The lab. The new lab, in Stark Tower. We live here," Peter explains slowly, pulling out of the hug. "I'm pretty sure you didn't time travel... And those are definitely grown-up you's clothes."

“Grown up me, so I’m in the future? But I didn’t do anything!”

[smarterthantonystark]

"Maybe little you didn't..." Peter mutters, thinking back to the time he got de-aged. "But I'm pretty sure big you did." He looks around, searching for whatever could've made this happen.

"But didn't you say that I can't go to the future because then something bad would happen? And that mom and dad would be mad? I don't want mom and dad to be mad!"

[smarterthantonystark]

"You didn't exactly go to the future, or at least I don't think you did. Big you isn't here, and little you is, in her clothes. I'm thinking you got de-aged. I'm sure it was an accident, though, and they can't be mad at an accident."

[katiestark]

"So I'm in the future, but not really because I'm supposed to be old and not how old I am right now? This is so confusing. But if mom and dad won't be mad can you show me around? I wanna see the future!"

"Yep, exactly. You're doing better than I would've been if older you had told me this when I was de-aged." Peter hums, thinking for a moment. "We should really look for a way to get you back to yourself..." He glances at what he's pretty sure is the device that made this happen.

"This happened to you too? And I don't wanna go back! I wanna see the future!"

[smarterthantonystark]

"It did, yeah. And... You're going to have to grow up again either way, but maybe I can show you a little bit."

[katiestark]

"Yes yes yes I wanna see! You said we made cool things in the future, I wanna see the cool things! And I wanna see our new home! What happened to out hold home though? Why'd we move?"

[smarterthantonystark]

"Uh... Our old home's fine," Peter lies, thinking about how parts of it are still sitting underwater. "We just moved so we could be closer to the team just in case. And yeah, you can see our home. The whole tower's our home, technically, but our bedrooms and stuff are upstairs. And we've got some cool stuff in here."

“Team? What team? And I wanna see the cool stuff!”

"Uh, what do you know about superheroes?" Peter asks before strolling towards where his and Katie's stuff are more densely spread.

[katiestark]

"Superheroes? Like Captain America?"

[smarterthantonystark]

"Yeah, he's one of them." Peter points two fingers at a prototype shield halfway across the room. "And people like me and Dad, too."

[katiestark]

"Captain America's alive? Dad's a superhero?!? You're a superhero?!?!!? What??" Katie stares at Peter with wide eyes and her mouth open.

"Yep, yep, and yep." Peter grins, then points to a row of iron man suits on the far wall. "Those're Dad's." He points to his suit next, on the nearer wall. "And that's mine."

[katiestark]

“How does that even work? Dad doesn’t have superpowers, and I know you’re sticky like a spider but you’re a superhero? My little brother’s a superhero? Am I a superhero?” Katie rushes over to the suits as she starts exploring all of them.

"Yep, I'm sticky and strong. And he doesn't, but he built these suits to be one and help people." Peter grins as he watches Katie. "And no, you're not, but you make cool stuff and help me with my suit sometimes."

“You guys are both superheroes? Is mom a superhero too? I wanna be a superhero! It’s not fair that I am not a superhero!”

"She's not either. You both get to make sure we don't do anything too stupid. That's a way more important job."

[katiestark]

"That's a boring job, daddy doesn't listen to anyone, not even mommy! Do you listen?"

"Um... Depends on who's asking me and how many times. It's really not a boring job, you get to worry all the time and do stupid stuff with me. Did you see my suit yet?"

"I get to do stupid stuff? I guess that's fun, but worrying all the time isn't. No I wanna see!" Katie runs over to the wall where Peter pointed before.

"Yeah, it's not." Peter grins when she rushes to the wall, then follows her. "Cool enough?"

“So cool! It’s so pretty. I loveeee red, and the little spider is so cute.”

[smarterthantonystark]

"Pretty? Not what I'm going for, but I'll take it." He reaches out and ruffles ber hair .

“Hey!” Katie exclaims as she tries to fix her hair.

Peter grins, laughing slightly. "Want to go see your room?"

[katiestark]

“Yes!” Katie exclaims as she runs over to the door and then comes back when she realizes she has no idea where to go so she takes Peter’s hand and drags him.

Peter laughs again, letting her drag him behind her. "Maybe I should lead? And then you can ask FRIDAY to open the elevator."

“Oh ya ok” Katie slows down to let Peter lead. “Who’s FRIDAY?”

"She's our AI. Jarvis's... friend." Peter leads her to the elevator. "Say hi, FRIDAY."

"Hello, Miss Stark."

[katiestark]

"Hi FRIDAY!" Kati smiles before turning back to Peter.

"Why do we have a new AI, where's JARVIS?"

"Er... Because Dad's really over the top. JARVIS is on vacation." Peter steps into the elevator.

[katiestark]

"JARVIS is on vacation? Oh ok. Hi FRIDAY can you take us to big me's room?"

[smarterthantonystark]

"Of course, Miss Stark," FRIDAY answers, and the elevator moves up to the penthouse. Peter grins.

[katiestark]

"Tell me about the future! Am I super cool?" Katie looks up at Peter excitedly, bouncing on her feet.

Peter nods. "Super cool. Maybe the second coolest person in the tower. You're really really smart, too."

[katiestark]

"Who's cooler than me? I have to be the coolest!"

[smarterthantonystark]

"I am. You can't beat superpowers." Peter shrugs, smiling, and starts walking down the hall. "Your room's down here."

[katiestark]

"Nuh uh! You can beat superpowers! You're lying I'm probably the coolest! I'm older too!" Katie says before getting distracted by her room and running towards it and pushing the door open.

"Woah!"

Peter snorts. "Not right now, you're not." He follows Katie to her room, smiling. "Like it?"

[katiestark]

"It's so cool! And it's so big!" Katie rushes over and jumps on the bed jumping up and down.

"This is so much fun!" Katie giggles as she jumps around and pauses when she sees through the window.

"Woah, are we New York?"

Peter nods in confirmation, approaching the bed to make sure she doesn't fall. "Yeah, we are. We moved here a while ago from our old house in Malibu."

[katiestark]

“We live in New York? That’s awesome! Can we go outside? I wanna see the city! Can we see the Statue of Liberty? And oh Times Square, and I wanna see Central Park! I wanna see everythingggg.”

"We do!" Peter confirms. "And I'm not sure how great of an idea that is... Your clothes don't even fit, and we'll get swarmed immediately."

“Why would we get swarmed? And I wanna goooo. Pretty please, pretty please. There’s nothing else to do here, I wanna explore.” Katie whines.

"Because our dad's our dad. And there's plenty to do here!"

[katiestark]

“What can we do here?” Katie pouts a little.

"Uh... It depends. What do you like?"

[katiestark]

“I like building stuff and music and toys and playing!”

[smarterthantonystark]

"Yeah? Okay, you're probably too little for the lab, but what about Legos? Do you like those?"

“I loveeee legos, don’t tell anyone though, I don’t want them to think I’m a nerd.”

Peter laughs. "Of course I won't. I've got a bunch in my room, c'mon."

Open roleplay—Time travel

It'd started as a simple day in the lab - well, as simple as a day in the lab can be. Peter's moving some piece of tech, something that his grandfather had built and that's been sitting in a storage room for a while. It's scheduled to be moved to a museum, and he's supposed to put it out of the way until the movers can come for it.

Unfortunately for Peter, though, that day is thrown off course when he bumps into a lever on the machine. He feels that familiar tingle along the back of his neck and the hair on his arms standing, and then... he's somewhere else, and the machine is nowhere in sight. He looks around in confusion and spins around with wide eyes when he hears someone behind him.

Mod: you can be from the time Peter's currently in, or you could've been transported with him, or you can do both, or something else, who knows?? My original thought was to the past but the future's great, too, and let's say this particular time machine could transport him through time and space for convenience.

Peter laughs. "Okay, I can show you." He pulls into a parking space before getting out of the car and walking around to open the door for Katie.

Katie unbuckles herself and climbs out of the seat with a big smile on her face, very excited to see whatever Peter wanted to show her.

Peter shuts the door behind her and starts walking towards the building. "Okay, so, you're going to need to get us in, okay? Just bat your eyelashes at a camera or something, I don't know."

"Bat my eyelashes? Why would that get us in? And isn't JARVIS here? Can't he just open the door for us."

"You don't get sarcasm? Y'know what, it doesn't matter. Yes, he can, but I need you to ask since I don't have clearance."

[katiestark]

“Oh ok.” Katie smiles as she runs up to the building. “JARVIS, can we go in please?”

"Of course, Miss Stark." The door unlocks with a click and Peter opens it. "Okay, we have to find that machine and then I'll show you my thing, okay?"

“Ok!” Katie walks into the room with wide eyes. “How are we going to find anything in here? There’s so much stuff.”

Peter hums. "Remember the cool thing I said I'd show you?" He walks over to the wall and sticks to it, moving up it so he can get a good vantage point to search. "That might help us here."

[katiestark]

"You're...You're...OH MY GOD! WHAT? HOW? WHAT?" Katie's staring at Peter stuck in her spot.

Peter grins down at Katie, letting his hands go and walking up to the ceiling by his feet as if it's ridiculously easy. "Cool enough for you, Katie-cat?"

[katiestark]

“HOW ARE YOU DOING THAT? Are you in alien?” Katie gasps with wide eyes before continuing her rambling.

“You are an alien! My little brother is an alien?”

Peter laughs, hanging upside down to look down at her. "Nope, not an alien! I'm mostly human, I promise."

“Mostly? That means you’re not human?” Katie gasps. “Can my Peter do this too? Has he been hiding this?”

[smarterthantonystark]

Peter shakes his head. "Not quite yet. He'll have to wait a few years." He lets himself fall from the ceiling with a stylistic flip.

"Woah, that's so cool. I changed my mind, you're not boring. How can you do that?"

"That's for me to know and you to find out." Peter laughs and reaches out to mess with Katie's hair. "Can you help me look for that machine?"

"Why can't you just tell me?" Katie whines before nodding.

"Ok, how does it look like?"

"You're being boring again." Katie pouts but quickly gets distracted by the amount of stuff in the room.

"Ok ray gun, got it. I'll find it old Peter."

"No, I'm not." Peter answers with fake indignance. "And I'm not old!" He laughs, walking through the gaps between the items and looking.

Katie giggles as she runs through the room, partly looking for the machine and partly just having fun.

"Can old me stick to the walls like you?"

Peter laughs again, shaking his head. "Nope, it's just a me thing." He smiles as Katie giggles, happy to see Katie having fun. "See anything cool?"

"No fair, I want to walk on walls too! Not really, there's so much old stuff here." Katie pauses as something shiny catches her eyes.

"Why is there a car in here?" Katie looks as she gets into the car.

"A car?" Peter furrows his eyebrows and turns towards the sound of Katie's voice. "Don't mess around with it."

"But look it's so cool. This doesn't look like Daddy's cars. This one is different."

Peter's eyebrows furrow more as he picks his way through the storage place towards the car. "Different how?"

"Look it has so many buttons. Do you think it does something cool?" Katie asks as she starts pressing the buttons.

"Don't touch anything!" Peter says, diving into the car as alarms go off and things start to happen. He hears the car start and glances at a screen that says: travelling in 3, 2...

As the countdown finishes the car starts slowly rising up, the wheels shifting the car starts to hover.

"oh my god, Peter we're flying!"

Peter's eyes widen as they gain altitude. "We are!" He smiles like a madman, but his heart rate increases with each passing moment. "How do we make it stop?"

"Why would you want to make it stop? This is great! Oh my god!" Katie laughs while looking at Peter with wild eyes.

"Because we're indoors! There's a roof and things we can crash into!" Peter stares at the buttons, hoping desperately for something labelled. "What'd you press?"

Katie rolls her eyes. “Why do you hate fun? I don’t know. Everything?”

[smarterthantonystark]

"I don't hate fun, I just like safety!" Peter's voice lilts up as he looks around frantically. "Everything? One second." He groans, then pushes the car door open, sticks his feet to the car seat, and flips upside-down, shooting a web towards the floor so he can pull them down.

Katie leans over looking down. “Woah, is that a web? Are you a spider?” Katie gasps.

Peter starts pulling them down with a small grunt. "Depends on your definition of spider."

Katie ignores Peter’s answer and continues rambling. “Do you have 8 limbs like spiders? Is that why you can stick to stuff? Cause spiders can stick to stuff? That’s so cool. Are you sure you’re not a weird spider alien?”

"No, yes, yes, and yes," Peter answers in quick succession as he struggles to pull the car down.

"If you're not a weird spider alien how can you do this though? Do the webs come out of you? That's so weird! WAIT, DO YOU LAY EGGS?" Katie excitedly jumps up standing on the seat of the car.

"I'm part spider, no, and no!" Peter exclaims, trying not to get annoyed. He grunts when Katie jumps up, not noticing what she's doing until she's standing. "Sit down, you're gonna fall!"

"Nuh uh, I'm being careful!" Katie exclaims even as she starts moving around looking at everything.

"We're actually flying! This is so cool! I'm going to tell Dad all about it!"

Peter frantically shakes his head, trying to stay at the current elevation. "Sure, it's cool, yeah, but you can't tell Dad!"

"Why not? Dad will think it's cool too! Wait Peter, is that the ray thingy you were looking for?" Katie points towards one of the corners they can see now that they are in the air.

Peter freezes and slowly turns his head to the thing she's pointing at. "It is! Good eye. We have to ground this thing and get to it."

"Ok!" Katie nods before pressing some buttons and the car slowly goes back down.

"Here we go!"

Peter breathes a sigh of relief when the car lands. "Okay, that was really cool, but we gotta get back on task. C'mon." He starts moving towards the corner Katie had pointed to.

"Yep, flying car is cool but time travel is cooler!!" Katie exclaims as she gets out of the car and runs towards the time machine.

"You're right! You're not doing it though, remember." Peter speeds up to meet her there and immediately starts inspecting the machine.

"I remember because you're a buzzkill. That doesn't mean I can't see you do it though?"

[smarterthantonystark]

"Yeah, you can see me do it." He grins. "Now, you wanna help me move this thing?"

[katiestark]

"Help you? Really? Yes! Yes! I would love to do that! What should I do?"

"I'm gonna push it while you walk in front and make sure I don't bump into anything."

“That’s it? That’s so boring!! Maybe I can help you push?”

"Sure, if you want." He smiles. "Just keep up."

“I can keep up! I’m really strong!” Katie laughs as she tries and push the machine.

Peter grins, effortlessly pushing at the machine when she tries. "Wow, you're right, you're moving it!"

“I told you! I’m really strong! Daddy always says so.” Katie giggles as she continues pushing with all her strength.

Peter smiles at her and keeps moving the machine along. "Okay, we're going to load this up in the back of the car and take it back home so I'm not leaving you here."

“Ok! Are you sure I can’t come visit the future with you? I’ll be really good and behave I promise.”

"I'm sure. I don't want to deal with the fallout of that."

"Ugh, fine. You're such a buzzkill." Katie pouts

"No, I'm not!" Peter can't help but laugh a little bit as he reaches out and ruffles Katie's hair. "I just have a lot to deal with without that. Now, c'mon, help me put this in the car."

Katie swats at Peter's hand.

"Stop messing up my hair" Katie whines before looking at the car and then back to the machine.

"How're we gonna fit this in here?"

Peter laughs a little more, pulling his hand back, then stares between the car and the machine for a moment. "Uh... Great question. We're smart people, we'll figure it out."

"You're right, I'm very smart! You're smart too? My Petey's really little but he does a lot of dumb things."

"Well, he's smart, too. And I'm smarter than him because of life experience or whatever. I think we're predisposed to being smart since our dad's a literal genius," Peter says, not looking away from the car. He walks around to the trunk and opens it, then reaches in and puts the longer part of the bench seat down in the backseat. "What're the chances there's a screwdriver in here somewhere?"

“That makes sense, so you don’t do dumb things like my Petey? I think daddy has a screwdriver in the front, he always keeps one there.”

"I'd never say that," Peter laughs softly, then walks towards the front. "Good, great. He hasn't changed." He rummages through the glovebox before pulling out the screwdriver and coming back around. He starts unscrewing a hinge.

"Do you know what you're doing? Wait what if you break the car?" Katie gasps.

"Of course I do, and I won't. I'm a jerryrigging expert."

"jerrywigging? what's that?" Katie looks at Peter confused.

"Making stuff without pre-planning or the tools you'd usually need," Peter explains as he unscrews a couple more screws. He puts them in his pocket.

“Ohhhh, that makes sense. What should I do?”

"Make sure I don't do something stupid. It's hard work."

"I can do that! I do that with my Petey, alll the time. Sometimes I think he likes getting in trouble."

Peter laughs. "Sometimes future you thinks that, too, I think." He flinches as a piece of the car falls, immediately catching it with one hand. "Like that, that's something stupid."

"It is! Didn't you say you were a genius?"

"I did, and I am. I just don't make the best choices all the time and it's not like I've tried to haul a time machine in a car before." He laughs, then screws the piece back in and pushes the time machine in. "Okay, get inside."

“You should make better choices then. Mom says to always make good choices.” Katie gets into the car seat buckling herself in.

"She does, you're right. And nope, completely impossible." Peter gets in the driver's seat and pulls out of the parking lot. "Okay, just a little while and this'll all be normal."

"You don't listen to mom? Wow, mom's scary when she's mad, I wouldn't make her angry."

"I listen to her when I can, but in this case I choose to listen to Dad." He starts driving towards the house.

"Daddy wants you to do dumb things? That doesn't sound right." Katie looks at Peter skeptically.

"Not quite. He makes dumb choices and I take after him."

“That sounds dumb, are you sure you’re a genius?”

"Yes, I'm sure." Peter rolls his eyes, laughing a little. "You're just like yourself."

Peter rolls his eyes. "Almost." He pulls into the driveway.

Katie starts taking off her seatbelt as soon as they pull into the driveway.

"What are we gonna do now? Do you even know how to work the machine?"

"Uh... Sure I do," Peter half-lies, getting out of the car and going around to the half-disassembled car. "Apologize to Dad for me. Actually, y'know what, I'll just leave a note. Lots to apologize about, I'm sure. Can you help me out here?"

“How are you gonna explain to dad that you time traveled? Sure, what do you want me to do?”

"Uh, I'll figure it out." Peter nods at the time machine. "Make sure I don't mess up and drop it."

“Got it!” Katie nods with a serious look on her face as she looks at Peter as he takes the Time Machine off the car.

Peter suppresses a laugh at Katie's adorably serious look, successfully taking the time machine off the car. "Okay, now please open the door so we can get this inside. Preferably to the lab."

“Alrighty!” Katie exclaims as she runs forward and opens the door.

Peter laughs softly and carries the time machine through. "Okay, 3 out of 4 steps complete. Let's go."

“What’s the last step?” Katie follows behind Peter looking at him expectantly.

"Sending me home," Peter says easily as he shoves the machine through the lab doors.

"Oh right, you have to leave." Katie says softly.

Peter glances back at her. "Yeah, I do," he says, voice equally soft. He cracks a smile. "Keep little me safe, alright? I was kinda reckless." He moves to search for a sheet of paper and a pen.

"I will, I promise. He's my little brother. Say hi to big me for me?"

"I will." Peter finds the paper and pen and quickly writes the note. He gives it to Katie. "Get that to Dad, okay?" He bends over to hug her.

Katie nods before hugging Peter tightly.

"I'm gonna miss you. I don't really want you to go."

"I'm still here, you don't have to miss me. I'm just... smaller. Younger. Less durable," he jokes, cracking a small smile. He gently pulls away and stands up, glancing back at the machine. He steps back to turn it on. "C'ya later, princess."

Katie nods biting her lip.

"Bye Petey, don't do stupid things." Katie says looking up at Peter with wide eyes as she gives a small wave.

"No promises." Peter smiles, and the machine turns on. He's back in the lab — the right lab — before he can blink.

"What the fuck? Did you just....where the fuck did you come from?" Katie looks at Peter shocked, her mouth slightly open from her work bench.

"2005," Peter answers causally, moving to sit on Katie's workbench.

Peter points at the time machine. "Howard built a time machine and nobody bothered to tell us. I ran into little you. You haven't changed."

"Yeah, I time traveled. I'm talking about me accidentally screwing with a time machine."

“Is this a joke? This has gotta be a joke. There’s no way you just time traveled.”

Peter shrugs. "I wish it was, but I did."

“You time traveled? Ok, that’s not completely crazy at all. You can’t just drop that on me. What the hell happened?”

Peter laughs, pulling his legs up onto the workbench. "I accidentally time travelled and met 6 year old you in Malibu. We went to the big storage place we've got down there and got the time machine back from there, I showed off for her, we brought the thing back to the house, and I came back. You were adorable, by the way. I wonder what happened."

"You met 6 year old me? What? Wait if you met me why can I remember that? I should definitely remember meeting my time traveling brother." Katie closes her eyes trying to think back.

"Uh... You definitely should. Time travel's weird, I guess, like everything."

“Wait was there something with a flying car? Holy shit was that actual real? I thought that was a dream.”

Katie had been trying, she truly had. Trying to be better, trying to do better, but it had been hard. No matter what she did, it never felt like enough. She tried to ignore the thoughts in her head yet that didn't work. Some part of her knew that she should get help, but she couldn't bring herself to tell anyone. Everyone would worry and panic and she didn't want to be any more of a burden than she already was. She told herself that she'll be fine, and she can handle this herself. Everything will be ok. But one day the thoughts won and whatever thread that was keeping Katie together snapped.

She wasn't sure what happened after her eyes closed. There are flashes of screams, and crying but it's all just a jumbled mess. When she finally became fully aware of her surroundings she had no idea what was happening. She was floating, and her body didn't feel like her own. She was still in the tower, in her own room, she could recognize that, but she couldn't recognize herself. Dead, dead, fuck she was dead. It worked, but not really, because she was still here, still feeling. She had no idea how long it's been since everything happened but before Katie could come to terms with what was happening the door to her room opened and someone walked in.

Peter's still in motion before he sees her, walking into the room with his usual chatter. "Hey, Katie, do you wanna-." He freezes in place when he notices the sharp smell of blood, and finally, his line of sight falls on the body. The body of his sister, lying on the ground, unmoving. He rushes towards her with rapid speed and checks the pulse on her neck, even though he should be able to hear her breathing and heartbeat and there's nothing there. "K- Katie? Katie, c'mon, wake up, get up off the floor."

Katie freezes when she sees Peter come into the room. She follows Peter's line of sight and finally sees what stopped Peter in his tracks. Her, but not really her.

"Peter" Katie whispers, as she sees him holds onto her body. Dead, god she's dead, she isn't even sure how to process it, but she knows this isn't how it was supposed to go. Her little brother wasn't supposed to find her like this.

Peter hears something, but just barely, and he hardly reacts. He's too wrapped up in the sight in front of him to really notice. "C'mon, Katie," he chokes, brushing her hair away from his eyes. "Katie? No, Katie, this can't be happening, what's happening, how did this happen?" Wide tears are rolling down his cheeks as he bends over her body, breathing erratic.

Katie hates this. Hates that Peter is crying over her, hates that he has to see her like this. Hates that she was so dumb as to do this where her family could find out. It was all her fault, even in death she couldn't do things right.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry, it's ok Peter, you don't have to worry." Katie mumbles as she goes over to him trying now to look at her own body and instead focus on Peter.

Peter doesn't hear her properly, but his Spidey sense is telling him that something is there. He doesn't know what or care what, because his sister is here, dead on her bedroom floor, and there's nothing he can do about it. "No-," he gasps, fighting for air. "No, it should've been me, it was supposed to be me!" He practically shouts the words as he stares down at Katie's lifeless form. He doesn't know what happened, just that she's gone—dead—and there's blood. "I was supposeda protect you!"

Katie cries out in pain. It wasn't Peter's fault, not even close, he couldn't blame himself like this. This wasn't supposed to happen. This was all her fault, she messed everything up with dying too. God, she didn't no what to do.

"Peter, peter please don't, don't say that." Katie begs as she sits next to Peter. Well she's not really sitting, she's still floating but it seems like her form adjusted around the floor.

Peter chokes on a sob as he collapses onto his side, hitting his head hard on a leg of Katie's desk on the way down. He hisses, but just curls up next to Katie's body, an arm across her chest and his face smushed into her shoulder as he cries

Katie reaches over reflexively to steady Peter when he falls, but her hand just passes through it.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Please don't cry." Katie says mostly to herself since Peter hasn't been able to hear her at all.

Peter freezes. He... he heard something. Why did he hear something? It sounded like... He raises his head a little to look at Katie's body, but she's still lifeless, splayed on the floor next to him. He chokes on another sob, but catches something out of the corner of his eye and turns his head to see Katie. He screams, dragging her body back and moving in front of it protectively as he stares at- whatever it is, it looks like his sister.

"Wait, what?" Katie looks over at Peter, why was he scared all of a sudden? Did something happen? Katie looks behind her but there is nothing there.

"What the hell, what's happening?" Katie mutters her heart breaking at Peter's terrified face again.

Peter's breath speeds up considerably, and he keeps staring at Katie. "K- Katie?" His voice is a whisper, choked with tears and grief and confusion all rolled into one. "That- what's going on?"

"You can see me? What? How? That's...That's not possible. What the hell?"

"I- I don't know," Peter breathes. One hand reaches forward to touch Katie, and he lets out a sick gasp when it passes right through. "Why can't I touch you?!"

"This isn't real, fuck what they hell is happening? This can't be happening. This wasn't supposed to happen. You weren't supposed to find me. Fuck."

Peter hopes this isn't real. He really, really hopes this isn't real. "Wasn't supposed to find you?" He tries to touch her again, and sobs when he can't.

“Peter, it’s ok, it’s ok. Just fuck. You don’t have to cry. Everything’s going to be ok.”

"N- no, it's not!" Peter points towards Katie's body, crumpled behind him. "I don't understand..."

“Peter I’m so sorry, I…fuck I didn’t want you to find me. I didn’t think. I’m so sorry. I don’t even know how to explain this. I don’t really know what’s happening either.”

"You didn't think? You died and you didn't think?!" Peter snaps between sobs. He's not in his right mind.

[katiestark]

“I know I know I’m sorry. I didn’t want you to see me like this. I’m sorry. But it’s going to be ok. You’re going to be fine. Everything’s ok, just don’t cry.” Katie hates that Peter’s sobbing like this. She didn’t want to hurt him. That was the last thing she wanted.

"But you're not! You're dead, and, what-" Peter gestures shakily at her form. "A hallucination or ghost or something? This doesn't make any sense!"

“I know, I don’t really know what’s happening either. I just opened my eyes and I was like this. Umm but it’s fine, don’t worry, it’s for the better. Everything’s going to be fine.” Katie tries to comfort Peter even though she was panicking herself. This entire plan was supposed to stop everything from hurting yet here she still was stuck in this weird limbo, and now not only was she hurting her family was going to have to deal with the fall out.

Peter makes a noise, something between a whine and a choke. "You don't know what's happening, either," he repeats, and he hates that. He hates not knowing, and he hates that this is happening. "What- what happened? How did this happen?"

"I'm sorry Peter, I'm really sorry. I just couldn't take it anymore. But I promise I never wanted you to see me like this."

"You- you couldn't take it anymore?" Peter's eyes round, and his breath hitches. "You did this?"

[katiestark]

Katie just stays quiet and looks down, not being able to look into Peter. How was she supposed to tell her brother what she did.

"You did," Peter says. He looks hurt. "You- you killed yourself, Katie. You coulda talked to me!"

[katiestark]

"Peter I'm so sorry. It just, I didn't know how to tell you, and I couldn't burden you. You're my little brother, I'm supposed to protect you." Katie knew it was a stupid explanation, but she didn't know what else to say. She had thought about telling Peter, but she just couldn't.

"So instead of that you killed my sister," Peter chokes.

Katie paused at that, how could Peter say that. It wasn't like she hadn't tried to stay for everyone else, she truly had for so long, but everyone hits a breaking point. Was it really that bad that she didn't want to suffer? Not that dying really helped with that seeing as she's here. Besides, sure Peter was hurt now but he'll be fine after some time passes.

"Peter I know it hurts and I'm sorry, but it's going to be fine. You're gonna be fine."

Peter rubs at his face. He hadn't meant to say it like that, but he had, and he definitely feels bad. "But you're not! And if you're not fine I can never be fine." He sobs, and his voice lowers a bit. "I'm sorry."

"You don't have to apologize Pete, none of this is your fault, and you are going to be fine, trust me."

"I don't want to be fine if you're not fine."

[katiestark]

"Don't say that, you'll...I'm fine, alright? I wanted this, this is for the best trust me. Well maybe not the whole ghost thing but I'm pretty sure that's temporary. Hopefully." Katie tries to act somewhat normal, she needs Peter to calm down, she can't see him like this.

"You wanted to leave! What'd I do wrong?"

“Nothing! God please don’t blame yourself Peter. None of those is your fault. This has absolutely nothing to do with you!”

"You didn't know! I didn't want you to know! I never told you, so no you weren't supposed to do anything. Please Peter this isn't your fault. None of this is your fault."

“I know Peter, but I couldn’t bring myself to tell you. It was, even when I wanted to tell you, tell someone I couldn’t. I’m sorry that I hurt you like this, but trust me it’s not your fault. And it’s going to be ok.”

"You keep saying that, but you don't know that. Are you really happier this way?"

“Well I haven’t really been this way long enough to think about that. And it’s not like I wanted to end up like this. Do u really think I did all of this just so I can end up with limbo and have to see all my family suffer? No of course not!”

"...No," Peter says, looking down. "I really wish I could hug you right now. I think we both need that."

"I know Peter. I know, I wish I could hug you too. I really am sorry though. It's just I really tried to stay, to keep going for you, for mom and dad. But I just couldn't any longer. I know you love me, and this is hard but it's going to be ok. You're going to be ok."

"I don't care if I'm okay!" Peter chokes. "Dad's not. We both know Dad's not."

“Dad’ll be fine. He’ll get used to it. It’ll just take a little getting used to.”

"Pete, I wanted this. I couldn't take it anymore. So maybe I didn't want to be a ghost, but these are the consequences of my own actions. Besides maybe it's just temporary. Maybe I'm only here to make sure you know that this wasn't your fault, and you don't have to blame yourself."

"Yeah," Peter says, trying to smile until his elbow bumps against Katie's lifeless body. He stiffens, then glances back at it. "Did it... Did it hurt?"

"You don't have to worry about that. It's fine."

Peter's voice lowers a little bit. "Yes, I do. Dying. Did it hurt?"

“Umm, I mean I don’t really remember much, it’s just a blur, but ya I guess a little at first, after that it was just numb.”

"Numb?" Peter frowns, then slowly leans forward and brushes his hand against Katie's. "Can you feel that?"

“I mean I guess kind of, it’s like I can sense there’s a movement but I can’t feel you.” Katie says trying to keep her voice from breaking.

"You can't?" Peter looks up at her, the coldness still clinging to his hand. "But you'll... You'll be fine. When you, uh, stop being a ghost."

“Yep, exactly, it’s just temporary, I’ll be fine.”

"We've been saying that kind of thing a lot."

“Well cause it’s true.” Katie says even though she knows she keeps saying it to comfort herself in reality she has no clue what’s gonna happen.

“Well maybe not completely fine, I did kill myself like today and now I’m a ghost, even though that’s like the last thing I wanted, but it is what it is. There’s no point worrying about it.”

"Well ya, we can't really do anything about it Pete."

"...Yeah, you're right." His voice cracks in the middle again.

“Peter please don’t cry, I promise whatever happens it’s gonna be fine.”

"I'm not gonna cry again." Not in front of her, at least. "Just... When'll you stop being a ghost?"

"I don't know. Probably soon, hopefully. Why don't you...why don't you leave? This can't be comfortable for you." Katie glances at her body before looking at Peter again. She doesn't really want to be alone with her thoughts but she wants Peter sitting like this even less.

Peter shakes his head. "I can't leave you here."

"Peter I never wanted you to see any of this, it's bad enough you did. I don't want you staying here with me. I can't let you get more hurt because of this."

"You- you don't?"

"I...I don't want to hurt you more Peter. You're here and I'm like this and I can't let you get hurt. I need to protect you."

"You don't need to protect me, Katie. I can take care of myself."

"I know you can, that doesn't mean I don't want to. You're my baby brother. But you can handle yourself, I know that. Promise me you'll take care of yourself since I won't be here to save your dumbass now."

Peter sucks in a breath. "...I promise. Thank you."

“What’re you thanking me for Pete? I should thank you. Thank you, for all the happiness you gave me..I…you were the best brother I could’ve ever asked for.”

Katie smiles softly, a pang of guilt and sadness and happiness all blooming in her chest. She was sure if she was alive she would’ve been crying. She’s about to talk more when she feels disoriented all of a sudden, as she looks down she sees herself somewhat fading.

“Wha…?”

Peter stares at Katie's fading form, then wipes at his face. "I think you're... not going to be a ghost anymore."

“Oh, ya I guess so. Guess this is goodbye. You’re gonna be fine Pete. I know it. Take care of yourself and Gizmo and tell mom and dad to take care of themselves and I’m fine don’t worry about it. You’re great Pete never forget that and don’t you dare blame yourself for everything that happens. Just take care of yourself…” Katie rambles trying to get everything out.

Peter nods along, eventually cutting her off with an, "I love you."

"I love you too Pete. More than you could ever know." Katie gives a final smile as her body finally fades and she disappears.

Peter watches her fade, then slowly, shakily stands up, wiping at his face one last time. He has to go tell their parents that their daughter is dead... He doesn't look at the blood on the floor or the cooling body behind him as he leaves the room.

Peter has been missing for months, gone without a trace. He'd gone out for a regular patrol one evening, all smiles and sunshine after successfully getting a hundred on his history test, and... he never came back. His suit was found in a dumpster a few days later, bloodied and torn to shreds with Karen knocked offline.

New York had noticed that Spider-Man was gone, but they didn't think much of it, assuming he'd just gotten tired of the hero gig and abandoned them. The students at his school didn't really notice or care, beyond his friends and a few other people who were curious of what'd happened. The Avengers kept looking this whole time, but they've found nothing, no trace of the boy beyond the suit and some bloodied handprints.

Now, a figure stalks through the night. His enhanced hearing is locked onto a heartbeat, his glassy, brown-eyed stare focused onto the target he'd been given. Killing said target is his first assignment, and he's been made capable of doing it well. If he doesn't do it well, he knows what'll happen. He adjusts his mask—dark and hard instead of colorful and soft, covering his mouth (which is slightly open to air four sharp, hollow, venom-filled fangs) but not his eyes—and prepares to pounce.

Bolter quietly throws a couple of suits into the backseat of her car, stretching her back. She had been running errands all day and was finally able to go home.

She paused, something felt... off. She looked around, why did the dry cleaners have to be in this part of NY?? She felt like she was being watched, "Hello?" She said, loud enough for it to echo.

Mod: happy Kill Tony Day!! sorry that the starter itself is so long hehe! I got carried away. To Tonys: interact as a ghost? An exhaustion and grief born hallucination? Whatever else you manage to think of? If you want Tony to be, y'know, alive, I posted a semi open starter called Dad's birthday and it's just for the Tony blogs!

"Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown."

That's part of the note Tony wrote Peter in his will. The rest of the will didn't really matter; it was all expected, anyways. Peter hadn't wanted to hear it, was only physically present when he had to sit there and listen to it getting read out. All he could think about was how he should've been able to stop this, how he should've been able to prevent his own father's death. It wasn't a blaze of glory, like most people had expected. Peter hadn't expected him to die at all; he was immortal in his eyes, like all parents are to their children.

But no, it was a heart attack. He died of a simple heart attack, the end to, what, a decade of heart problems that stupid shrapnel in Afghanistan created? And now he is gone, and he isn't coming back. He'd been "dead" a couple of times: once when he was in Afghanistan, once when he was in Rose Hill. He came back both times, but he isn't coming back, and Peter knows that at the surface, had seen him die. Every time he walks into a room, though, he thinks he sees him in the corner of his eye, and it all starts again.

He hasn't really left the penthouse since it happened a week ago. He can't go outside without people asking about his dad and his death and how Peter's supposed to be getting trained to replace him in the company, and he definitely can't go to school, where people give him pitying looks just for existing. He's hardly slept, either, or really taken care of himself at all.

Today, though, he tries to go into the lab. He thinks he can handle it, that he can grab the packet he needs and get out of here, but the moment he steps through the doors, it's like he's pulled back into the memory. He can practically hear the rock music echoing off the walls. He can practically hear Tony's heartbeat, too, stuttering with more irregularity than it should hold. He imagines how he fell, then sees the screwdriver he'd dropped. It's right where it was a week ago. Peter just stares at the spot for a moment. Then, a choked cry escapes his throat, and he just sits where he'd been standing on the tile, curling in on himself with stuttering breaths.

Katie had been working trying to make sure everything was fine ever since it happened. Well as fine as it could be seeing as her dad was dead. She still couldn’t believe it. She was going down to the lab to work on something just to stop herself from spiraling when she sees Peter. Katie immediately rushes over and wraps Peter in a hug. “Pete, I’m here, I’m here, it’ll be ok, just let it out.”

Peter wraps both of his arms around her, tears streaming down his face as he looks up at her. "He's- he's gone."

"I know, I know. I...I know nothing I say is gonna make it hurt any less and I'm sorry I can't fix this. But it'll be ok Peter, maybe not right now, but you'll be ok. Till then you can cry or sob or be angry or do whatever you want."

"I don't- don't want to cry or sob or be angry," Peter chokes. "I want Dad."

"I know, I know, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I wish he was here too and none of this was happening. I know." Katie tries to keep her voice steady, to not let the tears fall, to not fall apart. She couldn't fall apart, she needed to be strong for everyone, for Peter.

"I miss him," Peter says. "I really really miss him. And I should've been able to notice- notice that his heart sounded wrong. I should've stopped it."

“I miss him too, but in no universe was this your fault. What happened…what happened was an accident, we all wish it didn’t happen, but it did and we can’t do anything about it but it’s not your fault. It’s never your fault.”

Peter just shoves his face into her shoulder. "But I could've been faster, and now he's dead, and I saw it-."

“I know, I know but it wasn’t your fault Peter. You…we live in the building with the most alerts. If Friday couldn’t detect it, if dad didn’t know what happening, how were you supposed to? It’s not your fault Pete. It’s not.” Katie runs her hand through his hair, hoping to calm him down, though it helped her feel grounded too.

"But I'm supposed to save people! And I didn't- I didn't save the person I needed the most, the one you needed."

"You can't save everyone and that doesn't make it your fault. We needed him yes, but Peter you're gonna be fine, there's nothing you could've done, because if there was I know you would've done it."

Peter buries his face harder into her shoulder, trying to conceal a small whine. "Are you gonna be fine?"

“Ya I’m fine, I’ve got everything handled. It’s you I’m worried about.” Katie tries to sound confident, the last thing she needs is Peter worrying about her.

"You don't have to worry about me," he sniffles. "If you're fine I'll be fine. How're you fine?"

“I’ll always worry about you, and you don’t have to be fine Pete, you’re allowed to be sad or angry or hurt.” Katie says purposely avoiding the last question.

"There isn't a reason to be angry," Peter says quietly. "And sad and hurt don't get things done."

[katiestark]

“You don’t really need to have reasoning behind feeling things. Besides you don’t have to get anything done, you don’t have to worry about anything, if anyone bothers you just tell me I’ll take care of it.”

"But you shouldn't have to take care of it. Your dad's gone, too, you have to grieve."

[katiestark]

Katie pauses trying to not let her emotions get the best of her. “I am grieving, I don’t mind taking care of things, it’s fine. I’m fine.”

"I'm not usually fine when I say I'm fine. Are you fine like real people are fine or fine like people in our family are?"

“You know you’re being surprisingly emotionally intelligent for someone who was sobbing and blaming himself for something that wasn’t their fault like 2 mins ago.”

"It's a gift and a curse," Peter sniffles, shifting against Katie. "Stop- stop deflecting."

"I'm not, I'm...it sucks ya, I can't believe he's gone, but there's too much to do, and I'm ok. I got this handled." Katie nods as she quickly wipes her face as a few tears finally escape.

"But you gotta stop sometimes," Peter protests softly, squeezing her a little. "You don't need to handle everything. I can help."

"I do stop. Trust me I'm handling everything including myself. Besides you don't need to worry about anything."

"But you shouldn't have to worry about everything. What're you worrying about?"

"Nothing, I'm not worrying about anything. I've got it handled. All you need to do is process this and take care of yourself. Come on, let's get out of here ok?"

Peter hesitates before pulling away from Katie, nodding. His gaze glances over the dropped tool again. "...okay."

"Ok, we can watch a movie or something. Get your mind off of things." Katie smiles running a hand through Peter's hair softly before grabbing her StarkPad and moving towards the elevator.

Peter leans into her hand when she runs it through his hair, then follows her to the elevator.

"What do you wanna watch? Star wars I'm assuming but which one?" Katie asks softly as she steps into the elevator.

Peter softly shakes his head. "Not Star Wars." It reminds him of Tony. "You pick."

"Cuz... Cuz of Dad. Just choose something else."

Katie puts her hand on Peter's face and gently rubs his cheek. The elevator door opens and Katie takes Peter's hand, squeezing it as they walk towards the living room.

Peter squeezes it back. When they enter the living room he pulls a blanket out of the basket and sits down on the couch.

Katie sits down next to Peter cuddling into the blanket as she turns on the TV to a random show.

“Just rest” Katie says softly running a hand through his hair and starting to work on the tablet.

It started slowly. One day, his canine teeth were replaced with fangs. The next, organic web shooters formed within his wrists. He thought that was the last of it when nothing else happened at first, but it turns out that that's not the case.

He's collapsed on his bedroom floor, screaming as four new limbs rip out of the skin of his back. His pupils are blown out wide, and more eyes are actively forming on his face. All he can do is scream in pain and horror as it happens.

Katie’s passing by Peter’s room when she hears the scream and immediately rushes in opening the door.

“Peter! Holy…” Katie just stares with wide eyes.

Peter convulses against the floor, his eyes—four of them, right now, but more forming—snapping to Katie. "K- Katie." He's barely there mentally.

Katie steps back, this was, this was terrifying, she didn’t know what to do. She wanted to do something cause this was her brother but her body refused to move.

“Peter?”

Peter backs up in a skittering motion. He doesn't speak, just stares at her. He looks scared, almost guilty.

“What’s, what’s happening? That’s god, we should do something.” Katie slowly starts to move towards Peter, she can’t see her brother like this and not do anything.

Peter hisses when she moves towards her, his back hitting the wall as he keeps backing up. He climbs it.

“Peter hey, it’s just me. It’s Katie. We’re gonna get you help, just come down.”

Peter hisses again, reaching a corner and pressing his back against it. He's still staring at Katie, looking more and more out of it with each passing moment.

"Peter, Peter come on it's me. You know me. I'm your sister. Your annoying big sister Katie. Come on, I won't hurt you, I promise." Katie wipes her face as tears start streaming down her face.

Peter's chest heaves as he stares at her. "It- it hurts," he whispers.

"I know, I know, I'm sure it does. We'll figure something out, ok? We can go down to the medbay or do something. I'm here Pete, we'll figure this out."

Peter freezes for a moment, then slowly lets go. He falls, landing uncoordinatedly on his feet on the floor. "Medbay... Medbay, yeah."

"Yep, Medbay. Let's go ok? I'll be there with you." Katie offers a hand to Peter.

"FRI, can you please update Dr. Cho about what's happening?"

Peter takes her hand, the extra limbs curling around his chest. FRIDAY confirms that she has, and Peter stumbles towards the door.

"It's ok, it's ok. We're gonna get you help." Katie continues whispering as she helps Peter to the elevator as they go down to the medbay.

The elevator doors open and Peter hisses at the bright lights. The ones in his bedroom had been dimmed, and his new eyes are increasingly sensitive. He covers as many as he can with one hand and staggers towards a cot, doctors immediately swarming him.

“Please…please help me…I…I don’t know what’s happening.” Katie stands at the side wanting to go to Peter but not wanting to get in the way of doctors.

A doctor immediately starts running a blood test, and a couple nurses end up having to try to sedate Peter and tie the limbs down because they're flailing so heavily. Peter moans, then collapses.

Katie immediately rushes over to Peter and holds his hand. It's breaking her heart seeing him like this.

"What's happening? Is he gonna be ok?"

[smarterthantonystark]

"We're not sure," a doctor admits, examining the limbs. "His DNA is mutating at a rapid rate. He's going to be okay, though, he's in no danger of death."

Peter lays on the cot, motionless, his eyes half-shut. He's not aware right now.

[katiestark]

“Ok well do something about this! He’s in pain and this is not normal. He’s turning into a literal spider!”

[smarterthantonystark]

"We're doing what we can right now, which is keeping him from hurting himself or someone else. I... don't know how to resolve this," the doctor admits slowly.

[katiestark]

"Well then find someone who does! I don't know who you need to call, my brother needs help so call whoever the fuck you need!" Katie shouts frustrated, with tears filling up her eyes.

Peter flinches, the extra limbs twitching minutely as his eyes flutter open and shut again. The doctor hesitates, then swallows and nods. "Miss Stark, I know that you're worried, but you need to calm down. He is stable, and we're doing the best we can."

“Fine, just figure this out, and quick.” Katie says frustrated before just looking at Peter and squeezing his hand.

"Of course," the doctor says, moving away. Several others are examining Peter, trying to work out what's going on and what triggered this. Peter moans every time they touch a limb or shine a light in an eye. Eventually, a limb spasms, and a restraint snaps. Peter's eyes are glazed over.

He perks up as he sees someone walking in, his smile growing wider as he looks at them. "What're we making today?"

"You're right." Peter takes a bite, too, and nods appreciatively. "So good."

"I could die today and be happy as long as I get to eat this cake. This has no business being this good."

"Good idea. Let me know when you're doing that." Peter glances at the time, then turns to put his fork in the sink. "Speaking of which, I gotta go."

A new building has appeared just off the main road, tucked behind the larger, nicer stores, where it can only be found if you happened to look.

An old man with long grey hair and a beard hums a song as he sweeps his front step, dressed in simple green robes.

Sunlight shines off the sign hanging above the door.

Peter walks up to the building, waving to the man on the front step. "Hi! What's this place?"

The man looks up with a smile. "Ah, hello! This is my tea shop, the Jasmine Dragon." He sets the broom aside and opens the door. "You are most welcome."

Peter smiles. "Thanks." He walks through the door with a small nod and looks around the place. "When did you open?"

The tea shop is warm and well lit, surprisingly so for an alleyway in New York. It's also roomier inside than it first appeared.

The walls are a soft green, and the smell inside is calming. Everything about it projects an air of peace and wellness.

"Hm, I first opened it shortly before the fall of the city, spent a few months in my homeland, but then returned to re-open when the war ended," he says as he moved behind the counter in the back of the room.

Peter blinks at the man, then furrows his eyebrows.

"The... The war? Which war? When did the city fall??"

"The Hundred Year War," the old man says plainly. "The Fall of Ba Sing Se happened a few months before the end of the war, and was reconquered the day of the comet, when Fire Lord Ozai was defeated."

He looks out the window with a mournful sigh. "We are still rebuilding. It will be a long time before anything feels normal again."

Peter furrows his eyebrows, frowning slightly.

"...How old are you?"

Iroh laughs. "Old enough, young man! But not so old."

He tilts his head slightly, eyes full of amusement. "Ah, perhaps I should explain better. My nephew always says I like riddles too much. You are not in the same place as when you entered, my friend."

He gestures to the window, where a vast city stretches all the way to the horizon. It's definitely not an alley way in New York- instead of metal and concrete, it's polished white stone and green shingles. There's damage as well, from some major conflict. Many of the buildings are burned or rubble, and there's some kind of machinery left behind. It looks like tanks, but without guns.

"Welcome to Ba Sing Se."

Peter stiffens, furrowing his eyebrows as he moves to stare out the window. His jaw drops.

"Um... How'd I get here??"

"You walked in the door," he says with a smile. "I believe it is blessed by the spirits of my world. My door opens to many places it should not, visible to people who need a place of peace. You are not trapped, and if you walk out, you will be right where you left."

Peter calms a bit at that. Peace can be good, even if he's never really experienced it. "...Okay. That's, uh, that's really cool. A magic door."

Peter has been missing for months, gone without a trace. He'd gone out for a regular patrol one evening, all smiles and sunshine after successfully getting a hundred on his history test, and... he never came back. His suit was found in a dumpster a few days later, bloodied and torn to shreds with Karen knocked offline.

New York had noticed that Spider-Man was gone, but they didn't think much of it, assuming he'd just gotten tired of the hero gig and abandoned them. The students at his school didn't really notice or care, beyond his friends and a few other people who were curious of what'd happened. The Avengers kept looking this whole time, but they've found nothing, no trace of the boy beyond the suit and some bloodied handprints.

Now, a figure stalks through the night. His enhanced hearing is locked onto a heartbeat, his glassy, brown-eyed stare focused onto the target he'd been given. Killing said target is his first assignment, and he's been made capable of doing it well. If he doesn't do it well, he knows what'll happen. He adjusts his mask—dark and hard instead of colorful and soft, covering his mouth (which is slightly open to air four sharp, hollow, venom-filled fangs) but not his eyes—and prepares to pounce.

Peter's disappearance, and probable death, hit Ira incredibly hard. She closed herself off, grew more distant, and there were times no one could console her. Not Natasha, not Bucky, not even Kiro. She barely ate, barely slept, barely talked unless spoken to.

That's why she was walking alone to clear her head. Ira didn't care if the sun had already set, she just needed to get away from everyone. They kept trying to fix things, act like new leads would show up out of nowhere. While she couldn't accept the idea that he was dead, Ira was exhausted following false hope.

She suddenly freezes, briefly scanning the area when she swears he hears something moving. Ira tells herself that it was probably just a rat, but something instinctual keeps her on guard.

Peter keeps moving when Ira freezes, sensing his opening. He breaks into a run, his footsteps incredibly light as he creeps up a wall adjacent to Ira to properly view her from above. He's animalistic in his approach, practically hunting Ira in his movements.

"Who's there?"

Ira shouts as she snaps around, acutely aware of another presence. She backs up slightly, her eyes flickering teal. Something felt seriously wrong.

Peter doesn't respond, simply watching Ira with something akin to delight. It's in a horrible, distorted sense, but it's there. He stays perfectly still, trying to keep Ira from noticing that he's there.

Ira shudders at the feeling of being watched. Even if she couldn't see Peter, she could feel his sick gaze. A low growl emits from her throat as the glow strengthens.

"Don't come c- closer!"

She continues backing up, shouting in the general direction she thought the person was.

Peter growls back, silently falling from his place on the wall. He slowly approaches her, and a streetlight throws a glow across him, illuminating the top half of his face.

Her breath hitches as she takes in the person in front of her. Ira's not sure if she should fight or run or scream... So she instead attempts to stand her ground despite how uncertain she felt with that descision.

"Who are you? What d- do you want?"

Ira tries to keep her voice steady, but it wavers and cracks a little.

Peter doesn't answer her at first, instead silently trying to steer her towards the wall.

"Mission," he says simply, gesturing lamely towards her as one arm shoots out to hit her chest.

Each step he takes, Ira does so as well. She's so focused on Peter that she doesn't realize what he's doing.

"Mission? What are you-"

Ira yelps as he attacks, moving to the side at an inhuman speed. The entity activates swiftly, and her fox ears and tail materialize in response.

"I don't w- want to hurt you..."

She murmurs fearfully, looking for an escape as she realizes he's trapped her in the alleyway.

Peter whirls to the side and pounces for her again.

"You won't," he half-growls. He barely sounds anything like himself, barely looks anything like himself right now. He aims for a blow at Ira's head, trying to knock her down so he can sink his teeth into her and finish the job. If he does, maybe Hydra will let him go home...

"I will-"

Her arm flies up to block the hit, but she stumbles backwards a little from the force.

"Just go away..."

Ira tries to sound firm and in control despite how breathy and panicked she is. Easing back into a defensive stance, she hesitantly allows the entity's strength to flow through her limbs. Ira brandishes her claws in a futile attempt to intimidate him, prepping herself for the next hit.

Peter barely blinks at Ira's claws before throwing himself at her, careful not to touch them. He's basically on autopilot, with his Spidey sense doing most of the heavy lifting.

Ira sidesteps away from Peter's advance before kicking him hard. She staggers back, throwing herself off balance for a moment. Knowing Peter won't let up anytime soon, Ira frantically tries to get more information.

"Wh- Why are here?"

She cringes silently when her words come out more like a whine than a demand.

"Mission," he says, simply. He rolls to one side before jumping back to his feet and moving to try to unbalance Ira.

"Kill you."

Peter shifts into her space faster than she anticipated, causing Ira to trip. She winces as the cold brick suddenly hits her spine and shoulders.

"What?"

Ira raises her voice, panic clearly spreading across her face.

Something almost happy blossoms within Peter when he hears Ira wince. Pain, panic. Good. It's a better time when they try to fight.

"Kill you," he repeats simply, leaning down over her with his hands on her arms.

She completely freezes for a moment, a memory crashing into her as Peter pins her to the wall. Ira quickly forces herself back into reality, a whimper escaping her. She had to get out of there. She had to.

Dropping her weight suddenly, Ira sidesteps while twisting her arms out of Peter's grip. She elbows him in the side of the head before turning towards the exit of the alleyway.

"Help! Please.... Help-"

Ira starts screaming as she makes a break for it, trying to ignore how weak she's sounding.

Ira's elbow knocks Peter's mask off, but he hardly notices. A chase! He vaguely remembers being good at this kind of thing, running after guys with odd masks through allies like this one. He bolts after Ira with a slight grunt.

"Stop screaming. Screaming is weak. Hydra will be mad..."

"Then s- stop following me!"

Ira doesn't look behind her at first, instinctually knowing he would chase her. She wavers as he mentions Hydra, her legs immediately becoming unsteady. The only thing keeping her going is the constant thrum of the entity in her muscles.

"How do you-"

Ira finally checks behind her, heart dropping as she sort of makes out his facial features. That didn't make sense. It can't be him. She doesn't risk another look to confirm, forcing herself to keep running.

"I can't. Mission."

His tone is low and dangerous as he continues to run almost effortlessly after Ira. His near-joy wavers a little when he sees her stumble. He thought she'd be a harder target to beat, but that's not it. He feels almost... bad, about doing this to her. Something another her feels familiar... He pushes that thought away.

"You're fast," he observes out loud.

"You don't have to listen to them!"

If he really was Hydra, she knew that probably wouldn't do much to stop him... but it still felt like the right things to say.

She scoffs quietly at his remark, not giving him more of a response. Of course she was fast, he was trying to kill her.

Ira inwardly chides herself for wandering off without tracing the way back home, desperately trying to scan for anything familiar as buildings fly past them. She suddenly makes a sharp turn, trying to throw Peter off her trail as she beelines towards the street.

"Yes, I do!"

The sharp turn doesn't throw Peter off for long, but it definitely creates a slightly wider delay. He shoots a web at an odd angle so that it'll wind up in front of Ira rather than actually hit her.

Ira skids to a stop as the web cuts off her path. She briefly looks at it with confusion before turning around to face her attacker. The only person she's ever seen using that was...

"Peter?"

She lets out a strangled gasp as a car passes by and illuminates Peter's face. It was him. Ira pauses for maybe a moment too long, just staring at Peter with a mixture of relief and terror.

"Who the hell is Peter?"

Peter slowly advances on Ira with a short growl, relishing in her terrified look. He's confused by her relief, though, and glances over his shoulder. Maybe this Peter guy is behind him? He's even more confused when he doesn't see anyone, but brushes it off and starts to move towards Ira again, even slower this time.

"You..."

Her voice is quiet as tears start to fall down her face before she can stop them.

"Peter, please... It- it has to b- be you."

Ira shifts her weight back but can't bring herself to run again despite her instincts screaming at her to do so. She wasn't going to let him leave her again. Not like this.

Peter furrows his eyebrows at her response and her tears.

"I- I'm not Peter. I don't know you."

He feels a strange pull towards her, an instinct to wrap his arms around her until her tears stop falling, and he doesn't understand it, nor does he act on it. Instead, he inches towards her until they're about a foot apart, and lets out a low growl.

"You're supposed to run."

"You are... an- and you do know me. Don't d- do this, Peter."

Ira practically pleads with him, drawing in a shaky breath. She can't tear her eyes off of him, even as her vision blurs from tears.

"Not until you re- remember yourself... because the P- Peter I know would never hu- hurt me."

She stands her ground despite her face wavering and betraying her confidence. Ira was beginning to peice things together and it only made her feel worse.

Peter's eyebrows furrow together, and he makes a small sound of disappointment. His game isn't going to resume, it seems.

"There's nothing for me to remember. There was nothing important before HYDRA."

A choked sob escaped her throat at that.

"N- No... Don't say that! Please... Peter you have to remember m- me. Ira. I'm... your- your-" Sister. "-Friend."

Ira's breathing hitches for a moment as she desperately grasps for a way to help him. Her hand absentmindedly lifts towards Peter, a subconscious need to comfort him.

"Your friends, f- family... everything important was before they- they-" She can't even finish that sentence, the words choking themselves. "You were nice and- and gentle and p- patient and..." She lets out a sharp exhale. "Even wh- when I didn't know how to be... a- anything. A person. Peter... Don't- Don't let Hydra take th- that away from you. Please... I can't lose you."

Peter flinches when Ira raises her hand, as if he expects her to hit him. He doesn't back up, though, only staring at her extended hand.

"I'm not Peter. My designation is Паук, and Паук does not have friends. Паук does not have anything. I do not deserve anything. I am not any of those things. I am only a tool, a weapon for HYDRA to reach its goals." It sounds scripted, like he's been forced to recite it over and over, but underneath that tone is... confusion, maybe? It's not quite that, or recognition, or much of anything, really.

"There's nothing for you to lose."

"S- sorry..."

Ira freezes at his reaction, but doesn't pull her hand back. She shifts uncomfortably as Peter parrots Hydra's words, something unsavory churning in her stomach.

"Stop! Whatever th- they call you, you're still m- my Peter."

Ira suddenly yells, power thrumming through her and causing her eyes to glow brighter. She takes a very cautious step forwards, drawing in a shuttering breath as she lowers her voice.

"You have friends, I'm your f- friend. An- and you have a family... Peter, they miss you s- so much- I miss you so much. You have to r- remember them... Stark, Katie, Barnes, Romanoff-" Ira trails off, staring at Peter with pleading, wet eyes. "Don't- don't do this to me. You were- were one of the first people I trusted after I- ...Peter, you're so much more than th- they made you think." A sharp exhale leaves her mouth. "I have everything to lose without you."

Peter flinches again, but doesn't step backwards. Each name seems to thrum something in him, something deep, and it's making it hard for him to think.

"You stop! I- I shouldn't recognize those names! I shouldn't recognize you!"

"But you do."

She takes one more step, now face to face with Peter.

"Remember when w- we first met? I snuck out of my- my room, I hadn't really left it be- before then. And I didn't think anyone would notice... but th- there you were, sitting in the dark eating a- a sandwich. And when you saw me, you- you didn't yell, just talked to me? You didn't push or- or judge me. You simply heated s- something up like- like I was meant to be there." She smiles a little despite her body still shaking with tears. "When the nightmares came, you w- were there too... you've always been th- there."

Ira hesitantly places her hand on his arm, watching his reaction incredibly carefully.

"Come home. The team can help you be... you again. I don't know what Hydra did to you, but I know you can fight it."

"I- I do," Peter confirms hesitantly.

He watches as Ira approaches, but flinches when she puts her hand on his arm. His other arm flays out, and he hits her square in the chest with heavy force.

"No, no, I'm not supposed to remember that stuff! I'm- I'm not him, I'm not him, I'm not anyone!"

He's freaking out now, his chest heaving as he stares at her with wild eyes.

Ira stumbles backwards at the force, inwardly chiding herself for pushing too soon. She winces, pain blooming through her chest where he hit her. It's definetly going to bruise.

"Hey, hey it's okay. It's going to b- be okay. You are someone, you just- just need to see it. You're Peter. Somewhere deep d- down you know that. "

She notices his panic, trying to smooth things over as soon as possible. Ira raises her hands in a placating manner, but her claws remain out and prepped.

"I won't touch you again, a- alright? I promise. I'll stay right here and you can just- take a deep breath. Please?"

Peter continues to stare at her, looking like a cornered animal on the verge of bolting. If Ira moved, he probably would.

"I'm not supposed to know that! All I'm supposed to be is a stupid asset!" He half-spits the word, as if disgusted by it even in his brainwashed state.

Even if he doesn't mean to, his breaths seem to slow a tiny bit at her request. It's clearly not conscious.

Ira stays true to her words, moving only to slowly cover her chest with a shaky arm. She recoils at his words.

"You're not a- a..." Ira can't bring herself to say it. "Peter, I know you don't believe that. I don't care if you think y- you aren't supposed to because they- they're wrong. Come home with me, please... w- we can fix this. Hydra can't hurt you there-"

She quiets, muttering this last line to herself.

"That's what you promised me, right?"

Peter tracks the movement of her arm with his gaze, as if she could strike at any moment.

"I'd never go with you. There is comfort in compliance. Less pain."

He tilts his head to one side a little at her last words. It's a remnant of his old self that HYDRA couldn't truly erase, like the shapes of people he sees in his better dreams.

"...I didn't promise you anything."

"But there's no pain back home. P- Peter, I'm not going to hurt you. No one's g- going to hurt you anymore if you just-"

Ira basically gives up mid sentence, looking at Peter with an expression that can only be described as pathetic.

"I know- I know... you don't remember."

She hesitates for a moment before slowly sitting down with a defeated sigh. Ira didn't care that it left her exposed anymore. She just missed her brother.

"I don't know what to do, Peter... I'm not strong li- like you. I'm not smart enough to b- bring you back. I'm not some hero who can do this. You just have to remember me... remember that th- this isn't you. Remember everything we had before. Peter- I can't lose you. It's selfish, I know... but I- I just can't."

Peter furrows his eyebrows a little bit at her words. "...no pain?"

He crouches on the concrete, then kneels. He blinks a few times, then shakes his head.

"I'm- I'm not supposed to be brought back."

"No, no pain. It's... nice, safe. People care. Your f- family cares." Names seemed to spark something, right? "Your dad, Tony, is there. And Katie, your sister. And Barnes and Romanoff and Har... Harley? And me, Ira."

Ira perks up slightly as he moves, having to hold herself back from leaping forwards to hug him. She instead lets out a sharp exhale at his words.

"So what? I know it doesn't seem like it n- now... but they don't own you. They can't. And th- they also can't follow if you come with me. The team can protect you f- from Hydra. Can fix whatever they did to you... t- they have to."

"Tony... Harley..." Peter mutters the names softly. They don't feel foreign in his mouth. They feel familiar, safe. He looks up at Ira's face, as if trying to figure out how he should know her. "Ira..."

"They... They can't?"

"Yes! Ira!"

She responds a little too enthusiastically, before quickly reeling herself back in.

"They can't. Well- I can't fully promise anything, b- but they've kept me safe... a- and they'll do the same for you. You're family, Peter."

Ira very gently lifts a hand for Peter to take, keeping her movements slow and obvious, having learned from earlier.

"So please... come home."

Peter flinches at Ira's enthusiasm, but stares at her hand as she lifts it. He doesn't take it, but he's clearly considering it.

"...I won't be HYDRA's anymore? I'll be yours instead?"

"No!"

Ira quickly pulls her hand back in surprise.

"No, you'll just be yourself. Without HYDRA. Without anyone telling you what to do or be." She pauses, offering him a small smile. "You can just be Peter again."

Peter flinches again, quickly stepping back when Ira pulls her hand away.

"Just be Peter again...?"

He begins to fidget with his hands before realizing what he's doing and putting them back at his sides.

"...I don't know how to do that."

She imeditaly feels bad seeing his reaction, and it's clearly displayed on her face.

"That's fine... I can help you, alright? We can figure that out together." Ira's eyes trail down a little. "...Even if it means things are different."

Peter blinks at her, trying to keep his face neutral and stay put even though he really doesn't want to.

"...We can? I- I don't want to listen to them," he admits quietly. "I don't want to hurt people."

"A-And you don't have to. No one will force you to hurt anyone ever again."

She very carefully stands back up, watching Peter's movements in case he startles.

"Not if y- you come with me, okay?"

Peter closely watches her stand up, but doesn't startle this time.

"...Okay. Then... Then can I come with you?"

His tone is tinted with fear, but also hope. He doesn't know a lot, but he knows he doesn't like being controlled, doesn't like what they're controlling him to do.

"Yes... yes, of course. Please."

She offers her hand once more, a soft smile crossing her face.

"Let's go home, Peter."

Peter slowly, carefully, and overly gently takes her hand. He nods softly, though his movements remain stiff and pre-calculated, and he's still watching her every movement.

"Yeah, home."

"A Hidden Weapon (Hydra AU)"

No one had ever really seen its face. No pictures or videos were online, those who saw it never survived long enough to share what they encountered. It was practically a ghost, a folktale, only proven to be true by the articles on its destruction.

Ira never planned her escape. Why would she? This was where she was supposed to be and as Schüler intended, she became Hydra's powerful weapon. Entire towns could be leveled so long as the entity believed Ira was in danger. When that was too risky, she could handle things alone. Control. That's what Hydra promised, that's what she gained... even if it was her humanity that was lost.

Despite everything Hydra did to hide her, a video got out. Someone took notice, even if it was deleted minutes after its posting. The footage may have been blurry, but it was clear enough that this otherworldly creature was really just a girl. Whether she needed to be stopped or rescued, it was evident they needed to track her down.

Ira was sitting in her room. Not a cell, a room. Locked from the outside, but a room nonetheless. With how volatile the entity could be, they had to keep her content enough to not try to run. To make her think this was home... punishment, praise, and all.

She never expected someone to come looking for her. The facility was supposed to be hidden from any prying eyes, her identity was supposed to remain a mystery. But something can only be hidden for so long...

Peter races down the hallway, spider suit on and map to Ira's room displayed on his HUD. The team's finally tracked this girl down, and they knew it'd be a bad idea to have all the Avengers storm this base with someone as powerful as her in it. He'd been told to stay away, but, well, he's never been good at keeping his nose out of dangerous business.

He speeds to a stop outside of Ira's room and throws the door open. It might not have been the best idea, but he's also not great at thinking things through. "Uh... You're you, right?" God, that's a stupid thing to say.

Ira scrambles to her feet at the sudden intrusion, the book she was reading falling at her feet. Her eyes almost immediately flicker to a cold teal and she holds a now clawed hand protectively infront of her.

"Wer bist du? Who are you?"

She growls out, watching Peter's movements carefully in case he moves to attack. There's absolutely no way this red and blue... thing was an agent.

"Uhhh... Spider-Man."

Peter says it slowly as he stares at Ira's clawed hand, standing very still. He makes no move to attack her.

"I'm here to get you outta here."

"You're not an agent. Who are you?"

She speaks with a sort of bitterness, words gaining a harsher edge as she continues to scrutinize him. Ira stiffens when he continues, her fox tail flicking sharply behind her.

"I'm not going anywhere."

"I already said who I am, I'm Spider-Man," Peter repeats. "I'm the kind of guy that breaks into HYDRA buildings to get people out."

He gestures around the room, which he finds really weird seeing as he's only seen cells in HYDRA places.

"And this is a HYDRA building, and you're people, so yeah, you're going somewhere."

Ira stares at Peter for a moment before something darkens in her gaze. She didn't know who a Spider-Man was, but clearly he didn't belong here.

"Threat..."

She mutters quietly, muscles tensing up as she falls into her training. Before Peter can finish his sentence, Ira is beside him, swiping at his chest with an animalistic growl.

"No I'm not."

"Nope, not a threat."

Peter instinctually backs up, which causes his chest to only be grazed by Ira's claws. His suit tears a little bit, and he hisses as a small amount of blood drips out.

"Okay, we're resisting. Got it."

"You shouldn't be here."

Ira's eyes flicker towards the blood and something akin to satisfaction crosses her face. Without giving him any time to recover, she aims for his chest once more.

Peter cries out despite himself, one hand coming to blood that is now coming out a lot more thoroughly.

"I tend to be in places I shouldn't be in a lot. It's a problem I have, actually."

He kicks a leg out, aiming to sweep Ira off her feet.

Ira easily evades his foot, but it forces her to step back and give Peter some room to breathe. Her own breathing has since picked up, making her seem closer to a wild animal than a teen.

"Disobedience gets you killed."

Her words are stale, as if they're just her repeating something she was told.

Peter shrugs, webbing over his injury to help seal it.

"Well, it's kinda my thing."

He just stands there for a moment. He doesn't want to attack her, but that could be the only way to get her out of here.

Ira watches the webbing, a flicker of confusion and almost curiosity crossing her eyes before she quickly schools it back to a dull, empty look.

"You shouldn't. It upsets handlers."

Ira holds no such reservations, and immediately leaps back into her previous attacks. She claws at his torso once more, this time aiming slightly lower towards his gut.

"I don't have handlers."

Peter hisses as her claws drag through his gut. It's an instinctual reaction for him to aim a punch for her head with his right hand while he presses at the wound with his left.

Ira's arm shoots up to minimize the hit, but she's still left stumbling to the side. She turns to look directly into Peter's eyes, her deep growl getting louder.

Peter tenses slightly, but doesn't back down. He takes a couple steps closer to Ira, guarding his chest with one arm and using his opposite wrist to try to web her.

She watches his movement carefully, quickly kicking at his hand as he moves to web her. Ira takes the smallest moment to glance at the webbing as it hits the wall behind her.

"What is that?" She snaps as she aims another claw strike at him.

Peter huffs slightly when she kicks his hand. He swiftly moves to the side, though Ira's claws connect with his arm, causing him to hiss as blood leaks from his bicep.

"My webs," he answers, quickly sealing his arm with the white strands before launching himself at Ira.

Ira backs up as he throws himself at her, lifting her arms to protect her face and chest. She aims a kick at his legs in an attempt to throw him off balance and maintain distance.

Peter's thrown off-balance, but keeps himself from falling. He stumbles slightly, then quickly raises his arm and aims a web for her chest.

A half-grown dog wanders into the tower. It's a labrador, brown and big-eyed, and it's tugging a large piece of fabric behind it that looks suspiciously like it could be the spider suit, though it's definitely been dragged through a lot of dirt and grime. He barks at the first person he sees, trotting up to them before headbutting their leg insistently.

Katie looks down at the dog confused before crouching down and petting him.

"Hey buddy, who are you? What are you doing here? Who let you in?"

He leans into Katie's hand, but then pulls away with a whine. He walks over to the suit and noses at it, nudging it towards her.

“Where’d you get that? You know Peter’s gonna kill you when he finds out you made his suit dirty. But it’s ok though I’ll protect you.” Katie picks up the suit putting it away before coming back to the dog and petting him.

Peter perks up at his name, but huffs when Katie puts the suit away. He pulls away from her hand, embarrassed that he likes being pet, then trots away to look for something useful.

“Hey where are you going? Dad would be so pissed if he sees another dog in the house.”

Peter pauses, then looks back at her and wags his tail slightly before continuing on his way. He goes to his room and spots his laptop on his desk, then nudges at a few keys.

Peter huffs at her. If dogs could pout, this would be that. He lays down, head resting on his paws.

“Awww look at you so cute. Wait I’m gonna find a bow and tie it on your fur.”

Peter's head snaps up and he halfheartedly growls at her.

Katie giggles as she quickly goes and gets a ribbon and bends down to tie it in a bow.

“You’re gonna look so cute, and you can play around with Gizmo, I’m sure he would love a friend.”

Peter huffs a little, though he lets Katie tie the ribbon. Playing with Gizmo doesn't sound like all that bad a time, actually... He'll allow it.

Katie quickly takes a bunch of pictures before standing up.

"Ok come on, Gizmo's in my room, let's go see him. Oh my god, Pete, if you're a dog now does that mean you're gonna eat dog food now?"

Peter side-eyes her, then stands up and trots out of the room towards Katie's room.

Katie follows him as she pets him as they go into the room. Katie opens the door letting Peter in.

"Gizmo, buddy I brought a friend for you!" Katie smiles.

Gizmo perks up from where he's eating at a toy and walks over stiffly approaching Peter and sniffing, but calming down somewhat after smelling him. Gizmo starts barking and wagging his tail.

Peter's tail wags as he sniffs Gizmo back. He gently boops Gizmo's head with his nose.

Gizmo barks happily as she starts spinning in circles and bumping Peter with his head. Playing around with him.

“This is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Peter bounces back, falling into a bow and barking happily, tail high.

“Pete maybe you should just stay a dog, that way I won’t have to worry about you killing yourself as often. Besides you’re so much cuter as a dog.” Katie jokes as she records Gizmo and Peter playing together.

"Mrrr." Peter side-eyes Katie before pouncing at Gizmo.

Katie laughs at the scene and she sits down on her bed watching the two of them play. Gizmo tackles Peter and yips around as he wrestles with him.

Peter wrestles back, though he eventually pulls away to rub at his head with his front paw. He's getting an odd headache.

“Pete don’t do that, you’ll hurt yourself. What’s going on?” Katie moves over pulling Gizmo to the side and tossing him a toy before crouching down to Peter’s level.

Peter lays down and rubs his head against Katie's leg. There's a sparkle to his form, and in a second, he's himself, curled back-up on the rug with his head still against Katie.

“Oh you’re back. That was quick.” Katie mumbles with a pout running her hand through his hair.

“You feeling ok?”

Peter groans incoherently, scrambling to get something to cover himself before settling in again. "Yeah. That was so embarrassing."

“It was cute! I miss dog Peter already you aren’t nearly as cute as him. Why did the spell have to end so soon?” Katie puts as she picks up Gizmo who’s looking around confused and pets him.

"You put a bow on me and asked me if I ate dog food!" Peter protests. He realizes the bow's still stuck in his hair and yanks it out. "Didn't you miss your favorite brother?"

"The bow is adorable, and it was a valid question. I miss dog Peter, he's so much better than you Peter. Besides you're my only brother, and no i didn't miss you."

Okay, Peter's following all the lab safety procedures from here on out. Probably. Maybe.

He'd gone in there looking for a piece of his suit he'd left behind, then got distracted by a random vial of something that was laying on his desk. He's not entirely sure what it is, or even remotely sure, but he picks it up anyways and opens it to get a sniff and see if he can identify it. Key word: sniff, not waft. You never want to sniff things in a lab, but Peter doesn't think it's a problem seeing as he feels fine as he goes back up to the living room. He's wrong, but he doesn't know that as he sits down next to whoever's on the couch.

"Yayyy. This is so exciting." Katie gets up and follows after Peter.

"How is she like? Is she cute? I'm sure she's adorable."

"She's so sweet and really smart, and yeah she's the cutest!" Peter opens the door to his bedroom, and a brown tabby kitten immediately pops her head out from where she'd burrowed under his comforter. "Hi, Leia. This is Katie."

Leia comes up to both of them, rubbing her head against Peter's ankles and meowing for attention.

"Hi Leia" Katie smiles as she crouches down and offers her hand hoping she'll come to her.

"You're so cute, oh my god."

Leia stares at Katie for a second, then eagerly comes up to her hand and sniffs it. She bonks her head against Katie's fingers, requesting to be pet, and Peter laughs softly as he crouches too.

"Oh aren't you just adorable. We're gonna be besties, I already know it."

"You're going to gang up on me, I'm sure." Peter laughs, standing and going over to his nightstand to pull out a bag of cat treats. He brings them over and passes them to Katie.

“We definitely are. She’s gonna love me more than she loves you, there’s no other choice.” Katie smiles as she takes the treats and holds one out for Leia.

"Then I'll get Gizmo to love me more," Peter says with a laugh. He pulls his phone out to take a picture of Katie and Leia.

“Not possible, Gizmo already loves me more. Besides I’m just better, so obviously they’re both gonna love me more.” Katie smiles as she takes Leia in her hands and cuddling with her.

“You’re so cute, aren’t you? You’re so adorable, baby.”

"Better? Maybe a little, but animals love me." Peter watches as Leia purrs against Katie's chest.

"A lot better, and animals love me more. Because I'm obviously amazing and the best Stark."

“That’s not a thing. I’m definitely the best Stark. Right Leila?” Katie giggles as she plays with her.

Katie laughs as she pets Leia again, before standing up.

"She's so cute. I can't believe it."

“I’m so glad you’re keeping her. How are you feeling now? Still ready to spill all your secrets?”

"Um..." He rubs at his face. "I feel fine now, actually. I think I'm good to go on patrol."

Open roleplay—Part 2 of the reveal

Peter stands at a podium at the front of a room filled to the brim with people. They're mostly members of the press, reporters and photographers, and they'd all fallen into silence when he'd stepped up. The camera flashes subside for a moment, and he glances down at the paper that has what he's supposed to say on it. Despite the preparation he'd had with it, it's not going to help him here. He's not sure what excuse it contains, but he knows it won't do anything, so he goes a little bit off the track.

"My name is Peter Anthony Stark."

Okay, a lot off the track. He tries not to blink as more cameras flash.

"Yes, that Stark. My dad is Tony Stark, and my mom is Pepper Potts. They kept my existence private for sixteen years so I could have a somewhat normal childhood, but, well, I guess that normal childhood is over, now." There's a touch of bitterness in his voice at the end, a bitterness towards the people who spread his secret around until it exploded into this, and he doesn't bother to mask it. He inhales through his nose, and takes a half-step back from the podium.

"No questions at this time," he says as even more cameras flash at him. He tries not to look like he's rushing as he rushes out the door that's directly behind him, a relieved sigh escaping him as his eyes immediately come to a familiar face.

“You did good.” Katie smiles softly at Peter as she gives him a quick hug.

“Mom’s gonna kill you because you went off script but you know, other than that, you did good.”

"Thanks," Peter says into Katie's shoulder as he quickly hugs her back, then pulls away. "I really did? It felt rushed. Did I sound nervous? Because I was really nervous."

“Well it was your first press conference, it wasn’t perfect but still was pretty good. Besides dad’s done so much worse. It’s fine.”

"Pretty good? Okay, I can take pretty good." He glances at the door at his back. "Can we get outta here or do we have to stick around?"

"Let's go, the only thing we'll get by sticking around is more questions and not gonna lie those suck."

"Yeah, seems like it. How bad an idea would it be to go to a crappy diner? Or should we just order in for the greasiest cheeseburgers possible?"

“Let’s order in so we don’t give the media anymore headlines.”

"Good plan," Peter says, already heading for the elevator.

[katiestark]

Katie walks beside Peter. “So how does it feel to be officially a stark in front of everyone?”

[smarterthantonystark]

"Terrible. I hate being perceived, I don't know how you handle it." The elevator doors shut and begin to take them up.

[katiestark]

“You get used to it. Besides I don’t really go out that much, which helps, though I know that’s not gonna work for you.”

[smarterthantonystark]

"Yeah, definitely not. I'm a going out person. Plus, I still have school." The elevator doors open to the penthouse and Peter steps out.

[katiestark]

"Mom and dad can probably threaten them to stay away from your school, so hopefullt it's not too bad. If not just wear like a disguise, I'm sure you'll be fine."

[smarterthantonystark]

"A disguise?" Peter looks back at her a bit incredulously. "Like, a fake moustache or something? I don't think that'll work."

[katiestark]

“More like a baseball cap and a hoodie, that usually works in movies.”

[smarterthantonystark]

"Does it work in real life?"

[katiestark]

"I don't know, I've never tried it. Dad probably has, maybe we should ask him? But anyway, it should work, people are dumb."

"That is true. But I'll be fine. They'll get used to it, it's not like I'm some super famous person. I'm just the kid of some super famous person. It'll be fine."

“You’re right, we’ll never get as much attention as dad, but still the media is going to jump at you, at least for a little while.”

"Yeah, I know," Peter sighs, heading over to the couch and dramatically flopping onto it. "What do we want to eat?"

[katiestark]

"Cheeseburgers, it's our emotional support meal at this point." Katie sits down next to Peter.

[smarterthantonystark]

"You're right. You heard the woman, FRI." Peter smiles at the ceiling, and FRIDAY confirms their order. "We need so much emotional support."

[katiestark]

“So much, sometimes I think it’s truly hilarious how emotionally fucked our family is. Let the press know that, they’ll have a field day.”

"They so will." Peter reaches for the remote. "Star wars?"

[katiestark]

“Sure, whatever you want.”

[smarterthantonystark]

"Oh, look, finally a perk to outing my identity." Peter turns the movie on, falling into Katie's side as he does so.

Katie snorts as she wraps an arm around Peter.

“Like you don’t always get your way anyway.”

[smarterthantonystark]

"I don't!" Peter protests, perching his chin on her shoulder.

[katiestark]

“You absolutely do!”

[smarterthantonystark]

"No, I don't! I didn't get my way with the hamster-rat!"

[katiestark]

“Well…well that was an exception and you didn’t try hard enough.”

[smarterthantonystark]

"An exception? So it's not a rule."

[katiestark]

“There are exceptions to all rules, you’re a science guy you should know this.”

"It's still false."

[katiestark]

“It’s literally not. Ask anyone.”

"Fine. Maybe I'll run a poll. I'm public now, the public can vote."

"The public don't know how whiny you are. I do! Maybe ask the avengers or your friends. You know people who actually know you."

"But that creates bias!"

"You've been spending too much time with Harley. You were not this good at ragebaiting before him."

"I haven't been spending enough time with Harley."

“If you’re not rage baiting that just means you’re straight up stupid, which honestly I won’t be too super about.” Katie says when FRIDAY announces that the food is here.

"I'm a literal genius." Peter stands up to get the food, collecting it from the elevator and coming back. He tosses Katie a cheeseburger and sits down.

“Uh huh sure, keep telling yourself that.” Katie snarks as she starts eating her burger.

Peter unwraps his own burger and takes a bite. "You've seen my exam scores."

"That doesn't prove shit."

"Proves that I'm a genius by state standards, at least."

[katiestark]

“State standards are absolute bullshit and everyone knows that. If you don’t that literally proves my point that you’re stupid.”

"Should I pull up the IQ test, then?"

"Just shut up and eat your burger." Katie rolls her eyes as she takes another bite.

Peter rolls his eyes, too, taking a bite. "Like you didn't start it."

"I didn't start shit. Now come on lets see your dumb movie like we haven't already seen it like a thousand times."

"You discover something new every time!" He turns the movie on and leans back
